That damned internet!!! i had a feeling that internet dissconection will show up in the corner duaring the race and it did... Lost points and great race because of my crap internet!!!

Hope you guys had a great battle !

Poor show from me, collected some guys at the start after missing my braking point, sorry to all involved, then had two separate contacts with bcd then gamer gaining damage each time. Both were racing incidents, just a race to forget. Amazing time jocke, I was dropping seven tenths per sector!

Hi Jocke,

I decided to leave the Toyota Championship.
In fact, what happened yesterday is more than I can bear... :ouch:

Please do me a favour and remove my name from the results list.
BodyBoyBlue gets the 9 points from the N24H race, Buybon 8 points, and so on...

Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks a lot in advance for your understanding.

Wish you and all the fellows lots of fun and first of all a flawless on-line connectivity...

And once again thank you sooooo much for being that fine guy Jocke!!! 👍

Blown engine Patrick?:odd:

Maybe if enough guys want to race try two rooms ?
Thanks for sharing your knowledge, Gavin, but it would take away so much excitement by dividing drivers up into
two rooms with 5-7 in each room. The biggest enjoyment (to me at least) is having all competitors together on track.
I wouldn't even know how to combine the results anyway.
I tried to take it from you but I always made some mistakes in last sector.
I'm happy you didn't take the fastest lap because that meant one extra point for me. :)
Btw, does it also happen to you randomly?
I am pretty sure I ran more than 5.8kms in this car this morning
It happens to me too. And I noticed something else as well.
Even though our menus are both in English they are titled differently.
Here's mine;
different to noa.jpg

Yours say 'test drive' while mine says 'free run'.
WHAAAAAAA...
My reaction was just this. I thought 'hot damn, gk is a billionaire'.
Lost points and great race because of my crap internet!!!
Sorry Dimse. :guilty:
And you had such a good qualifying by starting in 4th.

We talked through PM and I know I can't change your mind, Patrick. Sorry you are exiting the championship.
We will race together in some other championship hopefully. :)

But I can't take away your points from Nordschleife. You fought for those points for more than 60 minutes,
Patrick. 👍 You earned them.

See you all in Tokyo.
I'm already there. I am renting @gkgamer 's guest room and am driving on the streets
during the day.

The track

I wanted to use a tarmac street track and also keep the series as much Japanese-based as possible,
so R246 it is.

The car -
Celica GT-Four Rally Car (ST205) '95
Toyota_Celica_GT-FOUR_02.jpg

The Celica GT-Four ST205 was launched for the Japanese market in February 1994.
This version was to be the most powerful Celica produced to date, producing 239 bhp
for the export model and 252 bhp for the Japanese market model.

Influenced strongly by Toyota Team Europe, Toyota's factory team in the
World Rally Championship, the final version of the GT-Four included improvements such
as an all-aluminum hood to save weight, four-channel ABS (optional for the Japanese market),
an improved CT20B twin entry/turbocharger, and "Super Strut Suspension".

In August 1995, the ST205 received minor changes which consisted of new 6-spoke alloys,
contoured side spoilers or rocker panels, and a redesigned rear spoiler.
The Japanese model also got restyled tail lights.

The high WRC-style rear spoiler was not available for this facelift model, but returned on
the second minor change in December '97.

The ST205 won 1 full WRC series, and was overall winner twice in the W2L series.

Sorry to hear that Patrick. I'll miss your humour in the thread. :)

Just remember the words in your signature which are very true. However I've changed them to something perhaps more appropriate to the current situation...

The important thing in GT6 is not the driving but the struggle to stay online, the essential thing is not to have conquered, but to manage to complete a race without disconnection!
P de Kaz.

I hope to see you in the Cappuccinos Patrick. 👍

Oh Damn!! Sorry to hear that Patrick... Not sure what is better, Race as a ghost and get pushed around and get A LOT of penalties or Not make it at all
These are indeed different points but both are a real tragedy...
Regarding my case, all was good till Jocke "pressed" the start qualifying button. I got at once a "blown engine" and the race was done for me... I'm still swallowing my rage and my disillusion... :grumpy: :yuck: :ouch:

Hey Paul, thanks a lot for the kind words! :) 👍
I give up the championship, but I think/hope, I’m allowed to follow it and to post some funny “bullsh:censored:it” in the thread…?...
@JockeP22, you’re the boss. If I may, so please give me a sign!...

Don’t worry my friend, I don’t forget the words in my signature. We had, Jocke and I, a talk per PM and I told him that when I do something, either I do it on the whole or I don’t do it at all. The most important for me is, when I did it, regardless of the result, that I’ve got the feeling to have fought well for this!!! And this is what the words in my signature mean…
I need to keep the control of things that I do. And Tuesday, is wasn’t the case at all… I didn’t fight at all, I didn’t make any mistake (nobody did it) and in the end I get penalized… :irked:

As you wrote, I’m still ready for non-sens, anytime… But on the track, I’m absolute serious and I bother to be a good, fair and serious guy/driver (same as you Paul ;))…

The important thing in GT6 is not the driving but the struggle to stay online, the essential thing is not to have conquered, but to manage to complete a race without disconnection!

Nice interpretation P de Kaz. 👍

I hope to see you in the Cappuccinos Patrick. 👍

I really hope that Smiley can manage the event today. I’m waiting since a few weeks for my very first time with it. Looking forward to meet you there again… :D

Luckily, there are lots of fine guys here. That make me feel better… Thanks! 👍

It's a pity PD have made it so the race directly follows on from the qualifying without a break. It would be better if qualifying could be run separately and the race started manually afterwards. This would give the drivers the possibility of a short break and allow anyone who joins late/has problems to race, even if they were to start from the back of the grid. Much like in real life races really.

I must look in the suggestions forum to see if anyone has put the idea there.

I agree 100%!!! I dumba:censored:ss have been waiting the full qualifying session, hopeful that I could even though take part to the race... And after the session the poor Jocke wrote me: "Sorry Patrick I can't do anything" (or similar)...
And I broke down... :(

I couldn't find one, so I made one - Separated Qualifying and Racing - Online

In one of my previous suggestions I asked for proper race starting lights with varying delays - and we got them.
Who knows but perhaps PD look out for my requests. :D
