First time I completed a legal lap was half a second clear for gold (G25 & ABS1, everything else off including racing line). This car just has no grip. If you overcook a braking, you're done.
Gonna turn SRF on (aka god mode or understeer off) to see how far can I get. I don't dislike the car. Just the lack of proper tyres.

Hmmm...not a fan, just seems to have little grip, I seem to be ploughing away from the apex if I even think about steering before I've shed aaall my speed. Plus I've never mastered many of the turns at Laguna Seca.

Well I believe the event is even harder on Laguna "experts" since you can't really throw the car and 4 wheel drift maintaining speed where you're used to (T4, 5, 6 and the penultimate one). Really have to drive it very clean to get a good base, then start to shave time off of each braking IMO.

Have to say that these time trials HAVE GOT TO GET HARDER!!!! Just got home and golded both without even pushing it 1st or 2nd clean lap on both... GT6 must either be geared towards new players or maybye it's the hundred's (thousand's?) of hours played in GT series... Get the sneaking suspicion if I wasn't used to the tracks it would have been a LOT harder!!!

I got 1.31.2xx after a few laps (ds3, only abs 1), but then i noticed like everyone was using srf, a guy on my friend list had a 1:29.8xx so i tried with srf on, even though i don't like it at all, got 1:29.2xx at the second lap.
Calling it ''god mode'' isn't enough, i don't understand why they still keep it there.
Watching the top ten with pro players with the best steering wheels using srf is kinda funny to be honest.
But well, since the option is there you're not killing everyone if you use it..

I goofed my first lap trying to alter the Brake Bias... I prompty chugged about that lap locking up watching the two good laps of my pals taunt me up the road.
Next lap I just took it steady - I still had find the right amount of input to get the brakes slowing the "Hefty One" down without them locking every wheel (Even the spare tyre was flat spotted after one lap)
Just managed to Gold it on that second lap. Had more fun at Willow Springs in the 20 miler once I had toned the brakes down.

The only reason I disagree: What technical information does PD have to base a car off of? Sure, they could make it any way they want, I suppose. But the idea is that the car is a concept, it will never be a car that goes into production, it is meant as a marketing tool only. I feel that the fact they have the car in the game is cool, but it was never meant to compete with the Ferrari, Lamborghini, Pagani or McLaren's that are actually production vehicles.
I think we all need to be realistic about our expectations of what a "concept" car really is... a concept.

Played it for a little while yesterday. Best time I got was 1.35.318. Gonna try it again tonight.
The car handles pretty good, despite the mid-quarter understeer. I don't like the looks of it (personal opinion) and I don't like the sound of it. This is probably a car I won't use afterwards, but it's always nice with prize cars.

Nice to see Laguna Seca again, it doesn't seem to appear to heavily in career mode. I managed gold a after 5 or 6 laps, though the first few of those were written off due to me being caught out by the braking in various places round the circuit.

I have to say it took me 2h at least to get it gold...
first clean run was something like 1:47...
If they took the "train mode" off it might give people a bit more challenge.
If its too easy take the helps off...
Or i am just darn bad driver...

took me more than 2h to get gold. and not a great time, like 1.33.XXX...
disabling all helps or not, the car spin round like a yo.yo... in turn 2 and 4. bah...
am also quite pissed off by the fact that normally am the fastest of my friend list (and am on the average top 1000 of the list...yeah i know that here we have some cream of pilots around and they are all imba-able), and now am stuck at more than 2 seconds from the top one...(of my fl)...darn.
got me a lot of frustration... but i'll try more anyway.
(was so pissed that took me a lot of time to get gold on the other new seasonal...doh!).

I find it more rewarding to gold this with just abs 1, nothing else for driving aids and also on DS3. I don't really care for the rankings. I thought the car was fun to drive because it was challenging. I have seen suggestions to separate times with different driving aids used. I wish I could see my ranking that way!

I must be in the minority here, but I happen to like the car. Sure, it may not have the handling of an X1 and stay glued to the road through each corner like some people seem to expect from every car they drive here, but to me it does just fine. I golded it after about 3 laps and kept going for about 20 minutes more before I stopped with a time of 1'29.067.
People need to stop and think, not every car in the game is going to handle like its on rails or otherwise be easy to drive. Just because it may not handle with the greatest of ease, doesn't mean its junk. That's the challenge of driving different cars in the game, to test yourself with each cars handling characteristics, each one is going to be a little bit/a lot different. And, with this being a concept car, of course its not going to handle the greatest. Sorry if this hurts some people's feelings, but dismissing a car just because it doesn't handle great or is as easy to drive like you think it should be, is just wrong. Put your "big boy" pants on and challenge yourself a little, not every car is going to handle perfectly.

Couldn't agree more, I've been running this one without any aids using cockpit cam, its very rewarding when you get it around in one piece! Some so called 'hardcore' drivers have given up on this one reverting back to 'assisted drivers'... tut, tut tut
