Toyota FT-1 Super Lap

dfgt wheel
-TC off -SRF off -AS off -ASM off -ABS off

Time 1:33.897

And i don't have interest to get it any better...
Although it would be nice to know what kind of times you are getting without helps?

In my opinion it helps a lot controlling the car if you use brake and throttle while entering the corner without helps--
So it's easier to hold it steady, also early sift to 4 gear...

I bet the srf guys will be knocking low 23's at the end...

No driving aids here <----
On my first attempt i've recorded 1:34.4ish
I think i could get 1:33.89x if i did a clean lap and everything went right.
Its hard work but the car comes to you with practice and once you get to know it.
SRF is giving people this much of a legup on TT times is it?
I don't mind all of the other driving aids, but the fictional driving aid SRF being in TT is a bit pointless.

This is officially the worst car I've had to deal with in the game or real life. What the **** kind of handling is that? INSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANE understeer and as soon as you get to a certain speed, instant oversteer as soon as you touch the throttle. Gold is easy, but getting it to drive a perfect lap is impossible with standard driving techniques.

I've been consistently placing 3000-10000th from the first 2 or 3 laps in seasonals, but this one took me over an hour to get a clean lap. I don't even remember my time but it was more than a second ahead of gold.

After looking at the top guy's replay, apparently I have to use the brakes to fully rotate the car, floor it and then try to correct it on the exit. Lovely car to drive, isn't it?

I rather d

That's just my style...can be done without pulling the handbrake..

I personally like driving this car due to it being different to drive than most other cars in the game. My first complete lap without driving aids such as ABS and SRF was 1:32.6XX IIRC. Will try with driving aids soon.

This car is barely drivable without ABS. The tyres can't handle the braking power available and the undulations of the track. ABS is probably worth 2 seconds per lap in this car/track combo by virtue of being able to find a better, later braking point. SRF probably cuts another 3-4 seconds.

I found it to handle pretty decently, but I usually just go for gold. I only do it again if I'm quite far off my friends times since the leaderboards are not really a concern as I'm never going to get up there.

I doubt ABS is worth that much, a few tenths at most I would guess. SRF is where though I think a lot of time will be found as that is the area where I saw most of my friend list ghost lines pulling away from me, braking was quite close though.

This is one of the reason the car sucks. No-ABS works because it rotates the car more under braking. You can brake in a straight line, then start brake-turning into the the apex then fly off.

Also, throttle with this thing is a lot harder to modulate with controller than other cars because oversteer seems to be more speed related than throttle. It can't be the Turbo lag alone.

It is with this car ;)

Give it a go. Can't hurt to try.

No ABS works similar in most cars, think it is definitely slower though. It is a lively car for sure, shame though once SRF is turned on, it loses some of its fun factor.

Will give it a go when I'm next on. I didn't manage to do many laps with SRF and ABS on 1 in the end so set target of getting within 1 second of the number 1 time which I just managed to do. Dropped away about 4 tenths compared to my ghost in a few of the corners. However I managed to finally do the corner which was where I kept on messing up and I think I improved by over 3 tenths in that high speed left hander leading up to the corkscrew and quite a few tenths in some of the other corners which just helped me achieve my target.

Was thinking about giving it another go but PS3 crashed after looking at rankings and that was that. It was quite fun jumping up the leaderboard though. Well done to the people right at the top, I can imagine it is very hard to achieve the times they achieved due to reliance on SRF to do its magic in the right moment.

Gave this TT a quick go today and ran ABS off/SRF off | ABS on/SRF off | ABS on/SRF on and ran 1:32's | 1:31's | 1:28's respectively on each setting.

SRF was and still remains very strange. I wonder what code gets applied by the game when you turn that driving aid on.

Besides the understeer I quite enjoyed this one, but then Laguna is fun in any car in my book.

If you lap with just ABS 1, have a laptime on this seasonal around mine (1:31.837), and want a bit of competition to extend the life of the seasonals a little bit while we wait for PD to bless us with more content, then please add me (PSN: icleolion). Sorry, not looking to fill my friends list with the aliens amongst us or those too much slower than my time, just looking for motivation to do more laps! :)

Found this fun, car I feel has some good grip until you start trail braking, then off you go.
