I made this final render using the GR Concept as a reference.

I just hope the car won’t have a high gap between the wheels and fenders. We’ve seen that a few times from spy shots and it’s making me nervous. :scared:

BMW always have their cars sitting nice and low. Even their base cars. I think it's ride height, is going to sit perfect.

You see the difference? Which one is correct? I think the screenshot.

The smaller proportions have its ups and downs. The drawback is that it is not as imposing as the MkIV, but finally we have a car that is not bigger than its predecessor in a world where cars are always increasing in size. It also looks far more athletic than the MkIV too.

Coming to think of it, it looks more like a reborn 2000GT than a Supra.

If those photos are not the real deal, I wouldn't be surprised. However, I'm almost certain the pictures are 99% accurate even if they are renderings. My feelings are still the same. The proportions look pretty ordinary and the car has fussy detailing, like every other Toyota in 2018/2019. I am not a fan. I really want to see this car parked next to a GT86 just to get a sense of scale.

I also have a strange feeling that, as with the MKIV, Toyota is releasing this car at exactly the wrong time. I wouldn't bet on the booming economy to continue much longer, and a $60k Toyota in a recession is gonna be a hard sell.

I love it. Not because I've been posting positive thoughts, but because it's so close to the concept car. It's closer than what the FT-86 became.

This Supra looks aggressive. Awesome rear end. Sits nice in this render. Again, as with the 86, the tuner community is going to do it justice. Just lowering it, will set it off. Color choices. Volks or a mesh wheel will definitely change its appearance. Next, the race cars. Those are the ones I'm really wantinng to see.

Only thing are the headlights. That rear reflector Kia Stinger thing. That DRL, is like the white stuff in corner of an eye.
About the size of the car. If they kept it like the concept, that looked about the size of an LFA. I think it would be more of a successor to that, than a Supra. Glad Toyota went with this low volume "affordable" coupe.

It looks funky. You can't take a design from a concept that was low and wide and squish it into a smaller car. Isn't working.
Looked quite like a proper supercar when the concept debuted. It could have easily justified its possible $60,000+ price tag looking like that, imo.

I mean that the Z34 design was ahead of its time because it does not look 10 years older than the new Supra. Yes, it does look older but not 10 years.

The same definitely can't be said for the interior, even just by looking at the gauges.

Interiors have stepped up across the board for most cars. Even the new Sentra coming next year surprised me when I saw it.

True, you can easily spot a 10 year car by from its interior design. Infotainment systems and connectivity have also seen massive improvements over the past decade, and it is something you will notice on a daily driver.

First thing I'm going to do next year is make an appointment with a local Toyota dealer for a test drive with this new Supra.
Not sure you can do that so easily. I wouldn't be surprised if test drives were only as a passenger, and after you have put yourself on the waiting list, like with Audi RS models and M cars.
