Flippin heck tucker!
I thought I was doing ok with a 29.1. Tonight should be pretty interesting. Thanks for sharing your set-up Tiggles, would be interesting to how Joe's differs.
See you guys tonight 👍
Apparently - The PD servers are offline. Update imminent.
I switched to tiggles' setup, as I found it easier to get to the point of doing a lap close to a 1:27. I added in 2 things from my own setup, which are: full aero on both ends, and my max speed 7mph higher than his (I'll post my ratios within the next hour or so). They're the only differences. The aero doesn't change much, but the extra 7mph let's the car reach hgher speeds, due to how it looses power in the higher RPM. I get very close to hitting 120mph before turn 1 on an ideal start to a lap/exit from the last corner. Also, don't expect that kind of pace from me in a race, as that was a perfect lap. I'll probably be in the mid 1:28's once my tires warm up after something like 4 or 5 laps.
PD servers still seem to be up, by the way. All online features are still working.
EDIT for transmission:
First, hit the "reset to default" button, and then set set the "max speed" to 124mph (1 setting higher than the 190kph/118mph tiggles had at this part on his setup). Now for the actual ratios.
1st- 3.287
2nd- 2.227
3rd- 1.588
4th- 1.226
5th- 0.945
The whole lap is spent in 4th or 5th gear, with the possible exception of the uphill left in the first sector, as I'm not sure if 3rd or 4th gear provides the best traction out of it. If I have to add more top speed to my setup to allow for drafting, that'll definitely become a 3rd gear corner.
My max speed is 138mph, so I'll hit the limiter at 132mph. As I said above, I hit just under 120mph before turn 1, so I may need a few more mph to allow for drafting.
Any idea how many laps each race will be?
EDIT: Well, it took a 22 lap run to do it, with half worn tyres, but I finally hit 120mph going into turn 1.
