Really wish there was an option for a timed race instead of a set number of laps to fit in with the GT feel

What did you have in mind?

I had fun tonight and I think Gary has supplied us with a lovely track for the RUF RGT '00 and I'm sure Alexi will agree. The track has all the rumble strips in the right places, not to many or if any blind apexs's and it's challenging for the driver as the last sector has a high speed, sweeping and slightly off camber butthole as Mikey and I would like to call it. Really good fun:tup:

If anybody needs the RGT'00 RUF please let me know.(Oh thats if everybody agrees to go with this combo)

My thought on timing was that most GT races are a set time rather than amount of laps. Instead of saying 20 laps, you have a 25 min race for example, the winner is the one who completes the most laps in that time, the chequered flag coming at the end of the last complete lap after the time hits zero (like the 24hr races on a smaller timescale).

Maybe the update will bring us something....

Interesting as this would eliminate drafting......Sorry I'm thinking of running in practice mode with a rolling start. Mmmmm nice and very interesting we'll have to try it some time. And I suppose it gives people the chance to join in anytime as long as they move out the way for the leaders. Or have a race marshall waving the blue flag(through texted) or get kicked lol.

I'm hoping at some point they might add it but I won't hold my breath, shame because I think it would suit some of the combos we have done well and would satisfy Jon's endurance needs!!

Don't forget what John said about possibly adding some camber (I think he said up to 4) to the first 2 sectors of the lap, Captain Disaster.

I actually have time, but I got so much things I want to do in GT5. Got to support several online events, WRS and I got to tune the cars too.

Just did a 1:30.912 on the 7th lap of a race, with no draft. I think that's the fastest non-draft lap so far.

EDIT: 1:30.656 on a perfect lap while some 3 or 4 seconds behind the leader.

We've got something very special for you this week. The RUF RGT 00 is a very unique car with very unique handling. To me, it feels like a giant go kart that needs to be gently persuaded through the bends to get the best out of her (or him). See you on the track!

Very nice track 👍, smooth and technical aswell.
Best I ran in practice just now was 1'29.491, btw I see the post says sport soft? But we ran sports hard tonight, wich was good with this car I think.

EDIT:

I forgot to write down the tune as I dont think its that good, its easy to handle and control a minor slide. As far as I remember I only did Weight reduction stage 3, and Engine stage 3 and detune it back to stock. And all the other parts that have no effect on HP or Weight.
I did start very slow indeed

I had such fun tonight as the night started of well for me winning a few races and having some good battles with Wes but then it came apparent,.... that I need to have a setup to mix it up front as Enrico started the night off slow but then was untouchable towards the end. Enrico it looks as if you have the car working really well.

I managed a 1:30.1xx in a standard RGT.

Can't wait to get back on Gary's track.

Just had a pretty good test session.
The set-up needs a bit of tweaking, but managed a 1m30.060 and then messed up several laps where I was 3,4,5 tenths up

I think we'll get a few 28s soon.
