Edit:
Well last night Gary, Cobani and twitchy came and tried the endurance race, for which I apologize that the weather did not play the game as it should have. I dont think we know just how lucky we are having members like you in TCR, willing to support and iron out any problems to try and make combos work, I take my hat off to each of you.
One race the good old British weather didnt change, well it did, it got worse by the time we pulled the plug on the race, it was pouring down with rain and standing water was 100%, on inters it was worse than ice driving without spicks.
The suggestion was try this for a Wednesday, as we cant predict what the weather is going to do, if we do run this for a Midweek break I think best to use setting like.
Time 09:00
Time progression 60 (This gives you morning sun and mist and late afternoon sunset)
Weather 50% (25%)
Weather changeability 10
Surface water 20% (10%)
Don't try to control the weather but just take what comes.
As in F1 have 4 tyres available to use racing hard, Sport softs, intermediates and full wet tyres.
The weather is unpredictable, so pick whatever tyres you wish looking at the conditions before race start, make two pit stops compulsory.
Tyres usage simple same as F1 if its a wet race use whatever to get to the end with 2 pit stops.
If its a dry race you must use RH and SS but again 2 pit stops.
If the race is part wet /dry; use inters or wets and RH or SS but still with 2 pit stops.
Sticking to F1 rules on tyres I think makes it very easy for all who take part as most of us know these; the two pit stops make the strategy very interesting, as you never quite know just where you are in the longer races till almost the end, making pit strategy key.
Gary, Cobani and I are in my lounge
Sorry Bart missed you, managed to get on at 2pm but the grand kids are demanding my attention, I will be on a little later as they will be going home soon.
If any member has the track feel free to open a lounge, I'm sure you will find the combo entertaining enough even running it dry.
I'll try to get on asap.
Phillip.
Edit. Just opened my lounge, but I got a worrying message when turning on that, I did not turn off my system correctly last time and the file system may be corrupted, PS3 will restart and reinstall if this is the case.
Going to save my game again, just in case and restart my PS3, fingers crossed.
Going for dinner with the grand children back on track soon.
