Track Limit Abuse by most Top 10 Drivers

Name one GT title that's had a different approach to track limits.

In fact,
-GT5: Deep forest, you could use every bit of the concrete in the last left corner in the T1, after one specific update your lap was invalidated if you had more than two wheels on it, but the concrete under the bridge just after, you could use the concrete just as usual, no difference.
before: (2012/04) :
after:

the GTA TTs aswell, they added cones at some places because they knew the limits of the basic penalty system.

Now, you might notice some turns (at Maggiore specifically, T4, T8, and the big bowl turn T11) there is white concrete beyond the candy cane curb which is clearly painted with red stripes. Red stripes are spray painted onto the white concrete to indicate that this concrete can be treated as an extension of the candy cane curb. As long as you don't go 4 tires off, you are within the track limits. Very simple.
Why is no one replying to this ? Is this true ?

There were multiple leaderboard resets during at least two GT Academy events for 'cutting,' wall riding, and colliding with AI at different times. IIRC the wall riding was fixed upon reset by slowing the car greatly upon contact with solid objects, the cutting was fixed by altering the limits beyond where the lap is rejected, and I don't recall what changes impacted the AI traffic events. I think 2014 was the 'worst' year for resets, in particular for 'cutting.'

For using normal track limits that exist in the standard title?
They threw out Indianapolis entirely as an event after one day and switched to an Eifel course creator track in 2011 when people started doing laps just like they had been in the 2010 event. The following year from that was also when they started placing cones on the inside of corners where they thought people might cut (though not necessarily where people actually did; since PD still didn't change how penalties were assessed in relation to the track borders).

No, it i has red sausage-kerbs across it not painted stripes. It IS however painted white, unlike the forbidden tarmac. This is consistent on Maggiore. White painted tarmac is part of the kerb.

Jesus.
Whatever helps you cope I guess. I'll take the emotional response as an obvious indication that you can't cope with other people's differing opinions without having an aneurysm. I thought you could read between the lines to a degree, but obviously not.

Bwahahaha.

Do you know what "rofl" means? It means "rolling on the floor laughing". If you take that as an "emotional response" and "having an aneurysm", I think I see why you have such a hard time with this.

You accuse me of not being able to read between the lines, when you can't read the lines I actually wrote? Roflmaowtfomgbbq.

Red sausage kerbs in reality mean do not cut or drive over, why PD put red sausage kerbs there and then let you drive beyond them is poor design and most probably an oversight.

On a different note does anyone have a contact email for PD? can't find one anywhere.

Yeah it is a weird thing. the White painted tarmac is consistently there where you can drive and only where you can drive.. which strongly implies intent. but the sausage kerbs should be a warning to not do so. Poor track design.

This is funny. It is a GAME, not a simulation. Albeit, in my eyes the best one out there even with its faults. In real life there are almost no penalties unless you ram someone (which usually ends your race anyway....they should put that in the game as it would stop people from ramming), passing under yellow, or cutting the track to gain a position and do not give it back. Heck in monaco you can skip the chicane if it was somewhat accidental as long as you do not advance a position. If you did it a couple times you are going to get a drive through penalty. if it is qualifying, your lap just wont count. There is no time penalty in real life. Most wannabees cry about that fact. Truth is they are just crying because they are not fast enough. My attitude towards REAL racing was always, the vehicle is just a tool to be used. If it breaks I fix it. If you are too afraid of damaging something be it your car (but usually it is more your ego) keep it in your garage and shut up. Most of those people are usually just moving pylons that have a big enough wallet to race. Keep your tears at home please.

That is true, but you're talking about the 20ish most high-profile F1 racers in the world versus millions of ****heads on the new PS4 game that santa just brought them for Christmas... No one skips the chicane at the Monaco GP more than once a race, and only by accident. It's okay if that one mistake goes unpunished at that level because there is absolutely no room for a F1 driver to exploit that to his benefit. In real life you get at least one warning before the driver is penalized... if GT Sport adopted that same system, the one free unpenalized cut would just become a necessary tactic.

Then if somebody does that just give them a drive through penalty or if they crash remove them from the race. In real life you cannot go banging cars around as they will not last. Then also make them have a 'you cannot join another race for 30 minutes, do it twice and you have to wait until tomorrow.'

I guess I just do not think that if I don't brake into a corner and send you into the gravel at 100mph and I only have to scrub off a 2 second penalty over the next 5 laps is really fair all while ruining your race. When in reality it would have totaled both cars. That's why it is a game, not a simulation. Mommy, should have bought those '****heads' you mention grand theft auto instead. At least it is expected there.

Oh, and it is not just monaco, most tracks are like that, even in amateur racing. I just picked a real obvious example.

Whatever you say slick.

I wonder if the clean race bonus is more strict than the penalty kicking in for cutting the track?

It is. I can run wide at turn 2 exit at Nurburgring GP and have a legit lap. Wide being more than two tires over the curbs/green turf. If I do that during the race, I won't get a clean race bonus.
