Well Done Itz! . . . Sorry didn't make it into praccy last night lads . . . was having a few laps with some mates at the London course in Arbaths and Evoques of all things! Hahahahahaa --
My new modem is due to arrive tomorrow (Wednesday) so hopefully all will be good this week with no drops! But we'll see . . .

Time to do the drivers briefing for round 7 of the series.

I'm really impressed with the driving from everyone in this series. You have all provided exactly what I wanted from you all and it is certainly making my job a lot easier. Everyone is playing by the rules so I dont need to remind everyone of them everyweek.

As far a track limits are concerned they dont bother me this. If you arent on the racing surface then it is most likely you will be finiding a wall or facing the wrong way!

This week we will be starting at 7:50pm ACST @NW48 ;) The last 2 weeks had been very busy for me and I do apologise for that. Thankfully everything is back in order regarding race cars (all the maintenance on the Wingless was finished tonight!) so I will be starting proceedings a with the spec check 7:50 as stated and like it should be.

I can also confirm that the car specifications in the picture below is what we will be running for this weeks round. There have been no changes from the last 2 rounds, I have just tidied up the forum so everyone is on the same page when looking at drivers briefings, the OP and when the arrive in the lobby.

^ Also mention that track edge (the grass/kerbs) is incredibly slippery. We found that out the hard way in the RMTC. Also, as I've mentioned, I won't be racing this round as I'll be in the air as you guy's race flying to Brisbane for the Race of Stars on the Gold Coast. (Which is apparently being broadcasted LIVE on Speedcafe.com!)

No problems about missing this week NW48, as ive said to you in a message, the real world stuff comes first! :)

and yeah the kerb out of turn 1 is incredibly slippery i tank slapped up to turn 2 last night after i clipped it on one of my laps! and there are a few other places to be wary of exceeding the track limits.
 
Welcome Aaron! any plans for another prac session? last night was great! i cant find any more speed out of the engine, gears and lsd are perfect so im just looking at dropping drag aero wise!
 
Yeah i think if i'm available tomorrow night, I will have another practice session. Just to give erracht and Aaron some track time before we get racing on Thursday Night! :)

I only bought game Monday and trying to race so I can afford the car first ahah need another $200,000. But yes I will need all the help I can get aha
 
For quick credits Try and get to the red bull standard challenge and race that. If you win the whole thing you get about a million credits. And then if you ever need more money, just keep racing the Silverstone and Nurburgring races where you can get away with short cuts and you get easy wins! :)
 
no probs mate, the season challenges online are also worth a fair few coins so could just complete 2 or 3 and would be able to afford that 200,000 easy!.. prac day this eve sometime, will send you over some car setups for you to try out

let us know how your new modem goes Gas!, i got one yesterday also, a MUCH more powerful one so my bro can continue to download the whole internet (seemingly what he is doing, computer on 24 hours a day downloading!) while i race!, of course it wont work properly like anything these days so may take a few hours on the phone with the company figuring the bastard out!. back to the old one for now!

on another note it was my birthday yesterday and PD surprised me with a free 1983 toyota!, its so getting lowered and drifted! ha ha ha!

Happy Birthday for yesterday MT!!! Did they give you the AE86? Old Skool Sprinter?? That'd be a win! Well, raced last night . . . first time in 5 weeks that I didn't suffer a dropout . . . new modem seems to have done the trick . . . so . . . looking forward to Opel'ing it tonight at BH! Seeya's there!
 
!! thats great Gas!! fingers crossed its all good!! i will let you know what the car is when i get back online, have totally forgotten ha ha ha and thanks VERY much for the birthday wishes!, was a really nice day! i bought myself the fanatec clubsport gear shifter for a present..... pre order though... wont get it for 2 months!!! booooooo! but at the same time i can wait! (i dont even think it works with gt6 but i may be wrong!) really looking forward to tonights round! am 2 tenths of Itz but thats my best lap... not an average, back to pressure tactics!! lol!
 
Turns out the birthday pres from PD was a Honda Ballade Sports CR-X 1.5i '83 i wonder if they ment to give me a 1984 car (my birth year) hahaha, that would have been even nicer! (and suck for anyone born in the early 2000's.... lol!)

The back of the track where it goes around the forest is probably the worst place for the track edge problems.

Happy birthday Mtla1984! It's only a few days out from my birthday (Next Monday), so I'd be right thinking that October is your favourite month!? ;)

Well that's it from me now, bout to head to the Airport to fly to the Gold Coast to meet my Dad who has my kart down there ready for me so I can hit the track for the two practises tomorrow morning. yeah NW October is a wonderful month for me and my fam, My Father, Grandma and myself all celebrate our birthdays within a week so its always nice!

Yeah I've been through the disconnections a number of times myself in the past, it's even worse when you are on the last lap, with a comfortable lead, cruising to the win and bam! Disconnected... -_-

Thanks again to all who joined in last night. I hope our 2 new drivers enjoyed themselves. (I know Aaron did)

I still haven't checked my gallery to see if I saved race 2 or not. I'm hoping I did because I would like to use fastest laps to break the tie for the final podium position!
 
yeah that sucks gas, i had the worst ever issues with dodo for around a year, constant drop out, had telstra technicians sent out everyone other day to check the switch and cables n blah blah blah... really is the most frustrating thing!, make sure you push them for a few coins off the bill, mine provider dropped off a few bucks from our bills as we never got what we paid for...

yeah Itz i def didnt save race 2, i have every other race of the series but cant believe i forgot!
 
Hi guys, yes . . . up until around 5 weeks ago - i couldn't really complain . . . but since then (nothings changed by the way) it's been a living hell. I've been onto them . . . i've had techies come and say it's the exchange - they fixed that - still problems - came and fixed it again - still problems - came to my house - blamed the central filter on the back to base alarm (which wasn't even powered up) - so I got an alarm mate to come and disconnect the phone line from the alarm box . . . still no better . . . got a new high speed dual band modem - worked awesome for one day - then (last night) back to being crap - admittedly not as bad as it had been . . . but for $100 a month I think i'm entitled to be than a little peeved that after 5 weeks they still have no resolution! I've got them doing more line tests tonight . . . they are saying they want to re cable to the point in the house from outside - but will only do it if I pay half the bill . . . they charge $240 per hour!!!
We'll see what they come up with after the line test tonight - and yes, i've already told them that i'll be seeking compensation for service that i've paid for not being provided . . .
 
Gas mate, yeah that is pretty much what i had to put up with,.. the techies sent out to check the exchange and line connections was bad mouthing the service provider as they never gave relevant info and the customer always yelled at him... poor fellah, he was really nice but i'd never want to work for one of those companies... they really dont treat anyone well.. now ive moved a few suburbs away and my internet is like a dream, still many issues as im sure everyone has, but the drop out has stopped for now.... fingers crossed!

if anyone from this series wants to think about joining me for one of the core 24 hour races (or 12/6 hour enduros) let me know.... i wouldnt mind getting a team together just to see how we fair, they stream them live online so we can all watch and can do it networked from out own homes.. i think it would be great! depending on how many drivers are keen it could be from 2 to 5 hours each (depending on the length of race) so we would do some longish practices to see what your concentration levels are like over that period! anyways, private msg me if you like the idea and lets see what we can shake!

Day 1 Recap: Terrible... From the way the event is organised to my kart setup, everything is terrible. It was suppose to be a different track from last year but it isn't. And weirdly enough, I'm a whole second off from where I was last year so that leaves us with 2secs to find by the end of tomorrow to be up front. Not happy today but we've been in this situation before and have pulled out with a strong finish so I'm not too worried.
