Congratulations! Currently I'm placed 1st in Italy, even though I think I won't hold the spot for long.

I've also sent you an invitation to the GTP community I've founded. ;)

Having fun in Canyon and Stadium, but I just can't get along with the twitchy and imprecise handling on Valley and Lagoon. Shame you're forced to play all four to progress through the campaign.

Yeah, I think Valley and Lagoon will keep me from unlocking the Black Series. These are very difficult to get gold. I will give it a try though.

I do really like the game though. It's very addictive.

I don't find Lagoon that bad but Valley is pretty dire for me...currently on Valley #100 which is a horror of a multi-lap. Reading for breaking my controller in half!

For those not yet there... Down and Dirty Valley #100 is bloody awful.

I'm stuck at Valley #97. For me, Valley #95 was already bad enough, but, good lord, Valley #97. How the hell are you supposed to beat that Gold Medal time?!?

Just golded the Green series. Now it's onto the Red series... I am NOT looking forward to this. :scared:

Did you gold green or blue? As the blue series comes ahead of red ;)
D'oh! I meant I just completed blue! Got my colours mixed up because the gameplay venues themselves have individual colours too.

I've already given up trying to get all golds, arrived at track 130 now.

10 Trackmaster
96 Gold
24 Silver

Sometimes I hate this game so much :P

I'm at #97... And I also feel to be on the verge of giving up an all-Gold Medal run.

Track 130 was an absolutely horrific one to deal with. Managed to get a 4 and a half second lead and eek it out to the finish. The all-gold streak continues!

So I've been watching some of the top players on YouTube and have stumbled upon something called the Super Solo series. Basically this is a mode that unlocks when you get all 200 Trackmaster medals, and it's pretty much campaign mode again, only with much, much more difficult medal times, including Super Trackmaster medals (or STM for short). These STM medals are times that were driven by actual pros at the game.

When I mean these are really difficult times, I truly mean it. For example, the STM time on Canyon #002 is a 34.94. I'm only at a 35.16 which is still around 15th place on the PS4 rankings.

One thing's for sure, I'll never unlock this feature as long as I live.

Trackmania pros are pretty much the best in the racing business. Terrifying reaction levels. :scared:

This game isn't endorsed by various eSports organizations for no reason! It's the Rocket League of racing games! (Even though Rocket League came more than 10 years after the first Trackmania, but still) ;)

Working 65+ hour week in the car business makes it incredibly difficult for me to be competitive in this game. So far I'm 4th or 5th in U.S., top 150 world, and 1st in my state. All golds in white series, All golds Green Canyon, and working on all golds Green Down n Dirty Valley. I absolutely love the game, Nadeo and Ubisoft did a fantastic job. The online play is perfection, never DC'd, no bugs, etc.

As a long time player of TM (I started playing TM around 2008, TM Nations Forever I believe it was) when I was 11 years old :D I've played Stadium (All on PC) fairly competitively, was #1 in US for a bit. Played Canyon a lot less then I did stadium but I enjoyed it. Valley was an "eh" for me, the community wasn't there, the game looked/performed/felt great, but it wasn't popular/comp. enough for me to really try.

Overall, Trackmania Turbo has really outdone themselves with bringing all 4 environments (Including the new "Roller coaster lagoon") into the same game! I was quite surprised with that decision as they easily could've "pulled an EA" if you will and Release 4 separate games onto consoles and ruin the community aspect. I truly think this is the #1 arcade racing game of all time. It takes a #2 with me for rankings with TM, I love Stadium (on PC) way too much with dedi's and the community, running 'Rounds' modes with the pros in Open dedi servers. If they brought crossplay between Xbox and PS4/PC through their servers somehow and brought back dedicated servers, detailed leaderboards, (btw I absolutely love the real time leaderboards, that is truly incredible) however detailed on how close you are to #1 or where ever the next spot is would be great.

Now finally, Echelons. WOW. It's essentially divided leagues with an emblem, seeing top guys around 3 so far, it's interesting to see how long it truly takes to get to #9. Now finally, my issue with the whole idea was that when the game first came out I figured if you were investing a lot of time, golding/trackmastering a bunch of tracks in Campaign, winning/ getting top 3's, top 5's, and even top 10's in full lobbies would really bring your Echelon rank up (For example, being #5 in U.S. should make me Echelon #9, max rank, "Plat division, diamond, etc.) Would make sense to me. And say, Top 100 for each country would be in Echelon #9, making you fight to keep your spot, rather than being say top 6k world and somehow being echelon 9 because you've played the game for 300+ hrs :D

Anyway, congrats for a very successful game launch, over 450k on PS4 on leaderboards (if I remember correctly) 9.5/10 for TM Turbo for me. Like I said, echelon fix, detailed leaderboards, this game is a 10/10 slam dunk.

My friend, you have hit all the spots with this review. This game is all in all the Rocket League of racing games, or at least it has the potential to become that. And yes, this game definitely needs leaderboards and is a perfect candidate for cross-platform multiplayer.

So, where we all at? I've hit a bit of a wall on 149 for my all gold run. I have the right idea how to do it but can't just 'get it'. :dunce:

So far:
147 golds
1 Trackmaster

I need help! This game is slowly destroying me with an OCD I never knew I had. I HAVE to get gold before going to the next even if I spend an hour wearing out my circle button lol.

I'm the opposite, I have a low tolerance for trial and error and repeating things I've just done (time trials in regular racing games tend to be the exception, but that's more for the joy of driving a car I like on a track I like than for chasing lap time improvements).
So I actually made a bit of a stupid purchase with this game - which I really ought to have known, knowing both my nature and having played a bit of a few of the early Trackmania games.

Also made a poor purchase with Salt and Sanctuary, and should probably keep myself from hitting the purchase button on Dark Souls 3 :).

I'm currently sitting at 97 Gold medals and 4 Trackmaster medals.

It's probably the most frustrating game in existence. It's so easy to get 🤬 over

I can't seem to finish #145. I alway's seem to screw up the loop before that jump, which causes me not having enough speed to make the jump properly :grumpy:

I'm surprised that no one has posted any short clips or compilations of impressive recoveries or incidences of pure happenstance that, whilst they won't have won you the race, they will have looked spectacular.

It's even enjoyable when coming off the track and going off for an exploration run - there seriously appears to be no edge to the map or a reset point. I ran my buggy for about three minutes out over a non-textures plane once the scenery ran out, except there were still hills and a sunset in the distance.

EDIT: I now wasn't to go back and play Motorstorm RC.

Motorstorm RC and all Motorstorm games in general are such amazing games. They need to make one for PS4 ffs
