Well, I always wanted to join, but I only have a population of around 195, which is below the minimum requirement...

I finally worked my way up to 150 a week ago, only to find the minimum population limit for GTP-R had changed the day before.

That minimum is for non GTP members, as a member of this forum you are welcome to join GTP-R regardless of your population.

Each consisted of a whole 1 Imperian, who would have been killed just looking at my villages, never mind the defences which were sitting about in there.

I figured it's a cheap way to scout - send one troop who WILL get torn limb-from-limb and you'll get a report anyway, detailing the battle. Of course, since I'd sent several battallions out before the attacks hit, he didn't get the whole picture - no catapults or rams, for a start.

You don't get such info when none of your troops return.

The only use of one troop "armies" is to send fakes simultaneously to real attacks, to confuse your ennemy so he doesn't have a clue where to send defensive troops. Whoever did this clearly didn't have that intention.
