I think this is a case where the best defence is a good offence.OmnisMenglan = 0 pop. .
lol. What's the best defense against catapults? I need to build some of my own.
I was pretty successfull in destroying 4 catapults with a handful of clubbers and a couple other troops. This guy sent two waves at me (one just infantry and cavalry, the other infantry and the catapults); I just completely avoided the first wave, but made sure my troops were back in the village by the time the catapults arrived. I destroyed them all. He only sent about a dozen infantry units to escort the catapults, though.Ev0Unless of course, someone here actually has sucessfully defended against a catapult attack or has heard of a tested defence that worked.
blue_sharky39Wow... no replies for almost a day...
I'm currently producing:
Wood: 48 per hour
Clay: 42 per hour
Iron: 42 per hour
Crop: 4 per hour (in need of a big rise...)
(is this fairly good for a population of 107?)
blue_sharky39So, not really?
FamineWTF?
I just attacked some other guy. Here's the numbers:
Me: Population 383, sends 40 Theutates Thunders on a normal attack.
Target: Population 100, 77 Clubswingers (as it turns out).
This guy has no defensive wall whatsoever, according to a scouting I performed immediately after.
The basic simulator says - 40 Thunders attack, 1 Thunder dies, 77 Clubswingers die.
The plus simulator says - 40 Thunders attack, 2 Thunders die, 77 Clubswingers die.
The plus simulator says - 40 Lvl0 Thunders attack, 6 Thunders die, 77 Lvl20 Clubswingers die.
What actually happened was all 40 Thunders died and 28 Clubswingers remained alive.
How is this possible?

I would assume Famine put that information into the simulator.jpmontoyaThere is some sort of defense bonus for smaller villages against large ones.
