Destroyed means lvl 0 for resournces and gone for buildings, I agree that the interface isn't great.

@ tsleng, I've noticed that too, but not always, it's only on longer distances.

i think the main building is back on level 0, because it started on lvl 0, you didn't have to build it in the beginning

That's what I'd have thought too. Though whether it applies to satellite village that you DID have to build a Main Building (albeit through the auspices of your Settlers).

I just had a go at bombing the Main Building again, to see if I could. In fact, my trebuchets chose their own target and took out his warehouse (which, frankly, is a bit of a pain in the arse).

Presumably if you select a building which doesn't exist, it reverts to "random" and picks its own target?

Can I assume that, even though the Cranny cannot be targeted individually, the "random" function includes the Cranny AS a target?

It is not a rumor. I have seen attack reports which say 'Cranny destroyed'.

OK, another quick question:

Do I have to research troops in order, or if I upgrade my Academy and Armourmy (speeling?) etc. can I then "jump" troops and develop better ones, leaving one undeveloped?

Make sense?

What I'm trying to say is that I don't want to develop the Prätorian yet, can I jump ahead and develop the Imperian without having researched the Prätorian?

Yes. Then build times are 100% Look at the stats for people with populations of 0, these people have been used as target practice for catapults and trebuchets.
