Krenkme's set-up got me under my target of 3.00 (thank you, sir) although I couldn't get the gear ratios to match. Maybe because I've got an S800 not a 500? Then, taking note of what a few others had said, I added a high rpm turbo and made up the difference with extra weight. That gained me a 2:54.5. Five seconds faster!

For the rainy one I've been trying a Honda Arta NSX 06 with full downforce and power-limited. It's still a bit slippery though. Only managed silver so far and thinking of giving in and putting TC on.

If you are trying to Gold the race without using the 2J then try using a 4WD race car such as the FTO super touring. I tried it and ran a 2:20.890 on my second lap. I applied minimal tuning, added full 200kg ballast, max downforce and tune back engine output to 550. A few minor tweaks on the suspension. No TC or driver aids needed apart from ABS=1

Thanks for the tip. I don't have a 2J and gold will do me. I'll see what I've got in my garage tomorrow and give it a go.

I'm good for about another full second with this set if I can just put it all together. Ballast is 200/-10. Like I said, add everything, sports air filter is the only exception so I could power limit the least. (99.9%) Good luck all, some nice times so far. Peace.

Nice 👍. As far as the tranny goes, it might be a different car as well as the turbo, but glad you liked it, and it helped :dopey:
 
The S800 showed up in my UCD today. I added Stage 3 engine upgrade (no weight reduction!), all power adders, custom suspension left at default settings, all drivetrain add on (left LSD at default), slight too speed adjustment on the trsnny, added full weight to meet PP requirements, won gold easily with delicate patient throttle inputs. If I want to set my best time, I'd seek a tune. This is good practice for the rain TT.
 
whats the best way to set the 2j 70 is it min power less weight or max power more weight???????
My first tt in the 2j 70 its only got 3 gears omg???????????

in running 2.09.5 miles off :(
My 2J is 350 HP 936 kg so maybe less power more weight. im 4469 so hardly the best time but it worked out.
 
Argg....2j with 350hp and only 936kg and its a sucker....How can any other car hope to compete PD!?!?!? very few race cars can even get to that PP with 350hp and 936kg and if they do manage it they dont have any downforce....

I'd like to see how people have coped with race cars other then the 2j and how they managed the tune in the wet. So far i have found the NOMAD Diablo to be hairy but ok. JGTC hondas ok but not really any better... Altezza touring car ok but peaky on the revs...i might return to the altezza and reduce the power to try and settle it down a bit...

Will check my Honda time and if i'm still up at p1158 might share the tune because its different to what everyone else has posted.

Took your S500 out and managed gold on the second lap. Missed it on the first lap by less than half a second. Good tune. Thanks again.

No FTO in my garage unfortunately so tried a Calsonic Skyline with not much joy. Sticking with the 4wd idea I had a go with my Peugeot 205 turbo 16 rally car and finally got gold. It took a while but was lots of fun.

I thought both of these TTs were quite enjoyable. I used the DLC R32 TC for the wet - full ballast and slight power limit, and minor suspension changes. I haven't done much wet driving so did a few lock ups on the first lap, but soon the got the hang of it. Just beat the gold time by a second.

lsd acceleration should be much higher i am on 50

Finally...put it all together at Suzuka, gaining time in all sectors. Sitting at 2:48.410 133rd at the moment. Really had a nice run gaining well over a second on my previous time. Figured out a good entry on 4 of the corners I was having problems with. Now that I have things figured out, pretty sure there is more time to come off. Usually only run this track with NASCAR cars which is quite a bit different than this little car, lol. Still running the same tune as I posted above. Peace.
 
The red alfa 155 2.5 V6 TI '93 got me gold. Still needs more tuning with the suspension. I'll be interested to give the R32 TC a go, still haven't tried that yet. I'm keen to persist with the NOMAD Diablo some more too.

Finally! 2:45.011 for the current 1st place time :D I lost about 2 tenths on sector 1 though. I'll worry about that once I get passed :)
