Hey we're all professionals here. True, maybe one of us may fell the giants, however I doubt that they will go down without a fight.

I know on speed and handling alone my 2000GT won't be able to win, but I'm hoping the beauty of its timeless design and the symphony from the engine (turn your music off please...) will win over a few.

It was a real toss up between entering this as my car or a GNX.

BTW Delta, this should be good. :cool:
 
BTW, sorry Rotary Junkie if you'd decided to go with this, I didn't want to steal your thunder... it was on my early list of possibilities and I love it too much not to enter it now that I know there are seperate drivetrain layout classes.

Hmm, I'm still feeling confident with my Caddillac but perhaps I should enter an AWD car too, but what to pick? Note to self, too many Japanese cars, don't pick a Japanese car.
 
what about a lancia delta, ford rs200, golf R32 or 98 audi S4?

I seriously considered the RS200 myself... GREAT car. HIGHLY reccomend you give it a test drive. Still trying to pin down my rear-driver though... my M3 CSL and S2000 are in serious contention but those are so... expected. I'm thinking about something that recently surprised the hell out of me. Here's a hint: If you pry out the rocker panels, you might find traces of a mysterious white powder. Still not sure? Another clue. The "Mr. Fusion" device will not be part of my tuning package. :sly:

And we Finns ARE the giant slayers.. have been since 1939.. :sly: and we will definitely not let the win slip from our hand. I have high trust on my Z and GT-R. with proper tyres and gearing that Z pulls off 1'43.xxx at GVS, keeping up with lighter 500bhp cars while not killing you.:dopey:

It's just a shame GT doesn't accurately model flaming skidmarks... which now that I think about it would be a good name for a post-punk band. Either way, its now time to figure out which wheel looks most like a locomotive wheel :sly:

I know what car your thinking of, but I've never driven it. This should turn out interesting.

This is my rear drive entry for the challenge. This is a brand new car and i haven't tuned it before. anyway, this is a great car. it is nice and quick, it is drift friendly, and is a fun car to drive. It has 424 horsepower but can easily beat Zondas and Dodge Vipers. This is a very user-friendly car, anyone can drive it. i hope all of you like it and give it a try. I forgot to mention this, high speed cornering is a little hard, the car oversteers and then when you try to countersteer the car whips around and you will probably spin out. To over come this, just let off of the gas a little or touch the brakes a little and you will be fine.

I'm starting to reconsider it a bit... it's REALLY quick for its WPR and a lot of fun to take balls-out through the corners, but there are some small issues with it which I may not have the time or will to iron out. Besides which, I've already submitted a really tailhappy entry in the AWD category, so I may go with something grippier for RWD (a perverse irony, I know). The M3 CSL may see the light of day after all. But if anyone is interested in settings for a 450ish hp DeLorean, let me know, I'll post 'em.👍

Not a contender against most of you since it is a FF but it is awesome none the less.
If you have doubts about FF cars please give this one a try after I've posted it up or after the competition starts and we need judges in the FF category (as I'm hoping that's the only category where we might see a lack of judges).

In any case, the car is a Civic Type R '01 (EP) and it really is the best FF I've ever tuned. Easily faster and more balanced than my Accord 250 from this thread and although it isn't faster than the Mk V GTi I posted in this thread, it does feel better than the GTi. Further, the Civic isn't tuned to the extent of those others, it's barely tuned at all and so once I have the chance to post the settings I'm sure you will all be suprised to see such a light modification to my entry.

I hope that stirs some interest. 👍

I can't really tell if that is a good thing or a bad thing but the "👍" means good in my opinion (a ":rolleyes:" would mean bad :ouch: ).

I know it's hard to believe any FF is worth a darn but I am confident even hold-outs will have to recognize this car as a great tuner (although it will take a mind open enough to honestly try driving a FF).

In any case, that's the only submission I'm making and so once it's up I will be all done (until judging :D ).

Looking forward to the challenge.

I have trouble tuning the FF cars plus I never bother (maybe that's the problem) so anyways, I may not be the quickest driver out there but I certainly know how to pick a car's faults and pluses. What I'm trying to say is, I'll be an FF category judge if'in you please. 👍

Just quietly though looking around I'm feeling really confident with my Cadillac CIEN, not that there isn't hot to touch competition. Oh by and by, will you make a list of each car in each category with links to the cars for easy judge reference when the time comes, when does judging start?

I am definately going to make a list of cars (that also serve as links to the original replies) for easy judge work. Hopefully when the time comes we will have a great list of cars with plenty of entries in each division. 👍
Further, I really hope that the entries are formated well in their original replies so we don't have troubles with setting up the challenge. :bowdown:

Well, I am going to test the RWD class and so I'm sure I will test your Z. As should every other RWD judge... Facts are, you must test every car in the class if you wish to judge.👍

i am not very good with FF cars and i was wondering if i could substitute my FF for an FR entry. if i can't it's ok, i was just wondering.

Of course its a good comment. Honda is my favorite Car company, BMW is second, and Subaru is third.
 
Kent, I will test your SIVIK Civic ESS EYE TYPE ARR Type R.

I don't feel TOO bad about my FF driving skills, just can't tune one for S grades very well.
 
OK, I will be an AWD judge as well, I can't make one myself that I feel is quick enough and people won't expect, maybe if GM had an AWD like the new Saab I could enter that but nope. So I'm judge for FF and AWD and competitor in RWD.

If you mean the SAABaru 9-2X, it's a luxed-up and slightly de-tuned rebadged Impreza WRX, borne of GM's short-lived corporate flirtation with Subaru. There might be a new AWD SAAB I'm unaware of, but with the exception of a couple of concepts, their American website turned up nothing but the 9-7X. Even the Sportcombis are FWD, alas.
 
It's a hellova lot easier to tune when your GT4 game disc doesn't crap out every two races :( Anyway I will hopefully have my entries up in a couple of days.

Look up the new Saab Turbo with what they're calling an XWD system, granted the system comes from a different company that supplies awd to many brands it's still more or less unique to Saab, it won't be on US site as I'm not sure it's in production yet in USA.

Thanks, found it... very nice! Apparently it's based on the Aero X concept and according to the press release, will be appearing in the US as well. Why it's not on the official website I'm not sure... lol. Dunno about there, but here it's going to be offered in a 2.8 turbo V6... unusual! Then again it IS SAAB, unusual is their stock in trade. Maybe we'll see it, or at least the Aero X concept... or any SAAB period... in GT5.
