Hey CyKosis can you lay down a few times with my Lancia?

It's on share now that I have it fully broken in.

I'm posting these here rather than the official ones, because I don't think it's fair on Dee or accurately reflective of the car. I only ran each race once. Normally I'd do each race 5 times (one full cycle of the UCD ;)). Tomorrow morning I'll endeavour to do so.

My biggest issue with the car was keeping the outside front from heating. If it did, the car drifted wide like a freight train. At lower speeds, or when I was suitably tucked into the apex, the other three wheels compensated and dragged the car round beautifully. But if I'd overshot my braking by even a little, wide it went.

I singularly failed to complete a suitably clean race on the tracks and in the case of Rome, I got tea-bagged by traffic on T4 for the first 4 laps..!! At London I had a touch on the wall or traffic on laps 1, 3 and 4. A touch can be as much as 1 sec per lap lost. At Fuji I got really fouled in traffic on laps 1 and 2. And so on and so on, so bear that in mind please.

Otherwise, a joyous car to drive 👍

MoV=Margin of Victory or how far ahead of second place you finish.

@CyKosis thanks for the laps and feedback. I'll pull it off share when I get home from work and see if I can get the break point on the tires a bit better, I wasn't completely satisfied with when the various tires would overheard and break free myself.

Wuuuut Dee said. Wasn't me that started it, that was Raver. However, it's a nice little addition as we're competing under race conditions rather than time trialling.

Nice time. If you can hit 1:02s on laps 2-4, you'll probably eclipse my time. I think I posted very low 1:03s on two laps.

And speaking of which, if we were pure time trialling then the issue of heating the outside front wouldn't be a problem. But under race conditions, I often find myself diving for a gap or taking an unusual line through a corner, which exacerbates it. So it's not like it's a glaring problem 👍

My car is (sort of) finished now. Would you mind testing it for me Cykosis? Bear in mind though, the gearbox was a last minute botch as I couldn't really be bothered to retune it for Fuji as driving a sub-500hp car there is so boring I would rather watch paint dry.

Although my wife is threatening to go out for her Work's Christmas meal tonight, so there's a chance I might be able to squeeze in a few laps 👍 I need to complete a suitably clean race for each track in Dee's Lancia as well...

CyKosis, I've just driven your Pug, and my god it's good. This thing doesn't understeer, at all. It grips so much for what it is. It's also so damn easy to drive hard, I can flick it into some turns which normally require me to lift, but this just stays on the power with no issues at all. I'm really, really struggling with faulting it…I have to say, you've done a properly good job tuning this. I cannot see a single fault with this. But what I like the most about this car is that it's so civil for a car with such a racy personality. It's still perfectly normal.

Actually, no, what I like most about this car is that it finally brought daddy Onboy a victory in GT5 after several failed races in the past, it's that easy to drive.

The biggest weakness, other than the drivetrain, is if you drag the rear wheels over grass whilst turning, it will spin, particularly at speed. Whilst breaking it in at the Nordschleife, I lost it in spectacular fashion somewhere between Hohe Acht and Wipperman..!!

Glad you enjoyed the car. I'll get on yours as soon as I can. Be warned, I've just bought Oblivion for my wife, to see if she enjoys it before I buy her Skyrim. It may be some time before I get my PS3 back :sly:

Oh I know what you mean about the spinning out at speed. I have this 500PP Renault Megane, it drives perfectly well offline on SS tyres, but the moment I take it to Spa online and slap on some RS slicks, the thing will go through Eau Rouge 90 degrees sideways, flatout. :scared:

And good luck getting the PS3 back. It'll be tough, I can almost guarantee. :lol:

And also, I didn't just take my car off share and retune the gearbox before putting it back on share, no such thing has happened. :sly:

Had a go with a nearly stock car (had to add some weight and oil light was on) on SS tyres with 116 bhp , 950kg , 367 PP .

Won London , Rome and Eifel by a Margin over 5 seconds. :D

Won Fuji too with a Foto Finish ( 0.023 seconds ) vs Cooper `05.

Oh wait a bit…I think something glitched up with my sharing thing…that, and could you test both setup A and B/ There's nothing different between them apart from the parts list. And the diff.

A retune is not neceassary, just maybe a challange at the "'Ring" to see who's better :D :dopey:

I kinda gave up on the AutoZam…can't get it to feel right…that and the fact that I'm now tuning a much more exciting Corvette. :D

Okay my Lancia is back on share after I made a couple adjustments to it. Still not 100% satisfied but is better than it was.

I'll try and get my Beat Z on share tonight. Turning 1:28s - low 1:29s at Deep Forest currently on Sports Softs at 420PP.
The best time for the seasonal race is currently 4:31.xxx because of the first lap traffic. Think I can get a sub 4:30 though with a little more adjustment and some luck on the field. (hate coming around a corner to find the AI 2 or 3 wide across the track in front of me.)

Not sure if the unlimited tune on RS tires will be much better as the weight distribution all goes to the back end without the ballast. I actually put the wing on the 420PP version because my ballast reduced the PP below 420.:crazy:

I've been busy with a Holiday gift that Clueless tunes will be giving to GTP soon, so I haven't spent much time with the AZ. But my fully tuned Beat Z is ready and so is the 420pp tune. Will try to get them on share tomorrow of Tuesday 👍. I'm just not happy with the way the AZ-1 is turning out :grumpy:

I'm bored with my AZ-1. I want it to be a easy thing to drive as the Beat is going to be the driver's car, but it's just not working…unless you want me to go nuts with it and make it a bit of a murderer, that is.

Yea, but that sssss noise is coming from my sizzling rage as I hate driving sub-100hp cars. They put me to sleep.

Lap the `Ring in under 10min30sec with at least 2 wheels between the white llines all the time.


If you can manage this (with replay proof) , I shoot you a car of your choice (Inside the trade limit and availlable )

@CyKosis both the 400PP Lancia and my 420PP Beat Z are on share, or at least should be.:D

Will hopefully have a 420PP AZ-1 on share by some point today.👍👍

The Beat Z is a little screamer, I was hitting close to 130mph on the start/finish straight at Deep Forest in the Lightweight K seasonal and topping 120mph at a couple other spots.:crazy:

Umm…Cykosis, just test tune A. B is only there because I wanted to see which settings 'felt' faster.

Nope, but I can trust that by the 10 minute mark, it'll have run out of juice and be going by the forces of gravity instead. :P
