Tuner Wars by Harvey Wallbanger (First 2 battles joined 12/6/11)

So has anyone tried my 5 Turbo yet?

Yup. Just did. Great drive. Complete opposite of mine, whereas mine was stable until you woke up the turbos, this was stable on throttle, throughout the corners. I think it's really the work of the diff (though I hold no merit to what I say, so don't take what I say for any reference), in fact…I might copy it on to my car and see what it does. I think the only issue with it is that you've limited the rotation too much, which sort of hurts it on London's tight sections. Otherwise, a great drive.

And one more thing, I'm not sure if you saw it yet, but here's your Mira with some new shoes.

Thanks for the feedback, just a little confused by your saying I've limited the rotation to much. To me it still feels like it wants to over rotate most times...:odd:

Keeping the rear end in back is what makes tuning these French MR Hot Hatches such a challenge for me as they'll whip around at the slightest notice.

Well, it's very controlled…though if you think that's unstable, you should try that Europa I've got on share, you still need to test it, remember?

Trying to get the new DLC and update to 2.02 this morning. Will test it when I get that done.

Onboy, I'm getting ready to test your...:yuck:...F.O.R.D....:yuck:. Holding back my true feelings for the car :dopey:

On a side note, this is called "tuner wars" sooo, this car I have, has been having a problem with getting no respect, while a "Heavy Honey" was getting all the press in the "Tons of Fun"... so Mr. Wallbanger, Big Brother would like to know it Isabella can come out and play at the Daytona Road course :D :dopey:

Guess I'll need to put "Isabella" on a diet as she's a good 600kg heavier than your "Big Brother".

I'm sure she could compete in handling okay but that's a lot of extra mass to get going and stop.:D

Ya'll have room for one more? I can setup a Camaro and set my lounge up for Daytona Road Course if you want to join in on some online fun. :dopey:

Give me a few hrs and I'll contact you on PSN. I don't have a mic :dopey:

Haven't been able to connect and download the DLC and update yet. Hoping to be able to do so in a little while.

Sounds good. No mic for me either. Having one of my bobs run the Camaro in now looks like arond 575pp max out of it :grumpy: I may check the Ford Mach 1. I'll have a Dodge on standby also. :sly:

I hope Santa brings you good health, and a better interweb connection. :( :dopey:

Getting the kids fed, and storie time, then I'll be back on.

Wow wait so I can just call out any tuner and they have to make a tune for any restrictions I say?

I call out Onboy lol. 2002 Audi A2 1.4 '02 will be the car. Full out race max everything battle and i let you choose the track. Don't let its small size fool you. I got it up to 200mph drafting and 245mph max when being bumped lol.

Yup.

Woah hold up, you want to challenge little me?!?!?!?! I'm not particularly bothered, bar one thing. I need to find that damn thing and I have not seen it once in my UCD.

Yeah... its a quick automobile when max tuned...

I remember having a fun battle driving a tuned A2 against a slightly warmed over A8 both on sports soft at the ring. Good times:tup:

Just need to keep that stage three turbo in line!

I have a new challenge for you Guys and Gals.

Build a 450 PP car that can beat the "Ford GT (No Stripe)" (starting from pole) on the Eifel track in the new "Stars and Stripes" seasonal.

Restrictions:

Power Limiter : max 5%
Tyres : Sports Hard
Aids : only ABS allowed

raVer

Well, I gave your Eifel challenge a shot with my own attempt at a Troll Pink :dopey: 450pp, 390hp, 1806kg Dodge Ram 1500 tune. I used sports hard tires, abs 1, and steering sensitivity 4. This was the best of three attempts at that race.
eifeltruckwin.jpg

The Ram isn't the fastest vehicle on four wheels but still managed a respectable top speed of 154mph when drafting the supercars on the straight.

eifeltruckfail.jpg

That lead '05 GT40 (no stripe) wins by a mile everytime! :ill: I was about 1-2 seconds a lap quicker than Mr No Stripe on laps 2-5  Better try something else as the Ram isn't even a car... maybe detune my Talon :)

Nicely done so far Theo 👍

I´m 2.2 seconds behind the No Stripe at the moment with my tune but I want to try more cars for this challenge.

edit:

And my tune isn´t a Ram or Pickup ;)

Hey!! Krenkme!! Y U NO TEST SUPA SNAKEY?! U SCARED OF A FORD?!?

Not scared, embarrassed :dopey:

Okay, so let me start by saying, I'm not a good reviewer, I'm not a good driver, and I've recently been told I'm not a very good tuner :dopey: , but that being said Onboy asked me to test his "Supa Snake"
mazdaracewaylagunaseca2.jpg

Now holding back my true feelings feelings about the Mustang (the third best Ford named after a horse, the first two being the Maverick and the Pinto), I got to work.

First thing I noticed was that you captured the American Muscle idea of cornering, let the back come around for you, while you point the front the direction you want to go.

mazdaracewaylagunaseca4.jpg

The gearing felt good, the accel was good as well. The handling was loose, but managable. It can keep up with, and pass, most of the cars on the track.

mazdaracewaylagunaseca6.jpg

(I didn't test at Daytona)

So besides the fact that it's a Mustang, It was very fun to drive. Just maybe try to get the rear to be a little less lose.
Oh, and by the end of testing the looks of the car kind of grew on me :dopey:

Thanks for that test, glad you liked it. ( though WTF did you do to the bumper?!) but the thing about making it less loose is that if I do anything to the diff, it'll go from slightly snappy to stiff as a thingy and just refuse turn.

I'm leaving for a couple of day (VACATION!!!) But if I get a chance before I leave I'll mess with the settings if you'd like. Did you try Daytona @ Daytona yet :dopey:

Assuming you haven't already left, go ahead! I need some input from others, I'm still new to this tuning thing.

Yup, it's so easy to drive, even on sport softs, for such a big ole brute.I do remember it topping out when drafting the GT no stripe. I'll check up on that when I'm back home.

and I've recently been told I'm not a very good tuner

such comments will eventually end in a shootout , we will have to discuss this when you get back from you're holiday ...
I'll be more then happy to race anyone in you're cars , they can even chose the track and car ( just not the nurburgring :ill::ill: )

edit on a side note , i quit my work today  , but it is ok i got a new job lined up allready :D , less work more pay 👍 , and more time to have hobbies ( GT5 testing lol ) ...
