Tuner Wars by Harvey Wallbanger (First 2 battles joined 12/6/11)

such comments will eventually end in a shootout , we will have to discuss this when you get back from you're holiday ...
I'll be more then happy to race anyone in you're cars , they can even chose the track and car ( just not the nurburgring :ill::ill: )

edit on a side note , i quit my work today  , but it is ok i got a new job lined up allready :D , less work more pay 👍 , and more time to have hobbies ( GT5 testing lol ) ...

Oi, my truck is still waiting for a test, y'know? And I hear ya lyke ya 'vettes? Well, how does a '90s ZR1 at 550PP sound? :D

Ttuth is, I need someone to help me when it comes to the Corvette, it's the only car I've tried to tune so far that hasn't worked out, and considering the Mustang I just tuned...seems like it's more my lack of intimate knowledge of these cars more than anything. Bar my lack of any skill, that is. :dopey:

Well i finally have some proper game time ahead again :D , so i'll do what i promised i'll take the truck out for a spin ( loading gt5 as we speak )

and yes i love vette's then again i love pretty much everything with a v8 in it :P

Onboy's Toyota Tacoma ...

Well i finally took it to the track properly lol :D

No offline comments seeing i aint planning on using it offline , i did test it offline tho ...

Anyways first of with the new rim option on standard cars i painted it Subaru blue with some golden rims , looks actually pretty good on this car :P

As for the driving ,

Deep Forest :
Well it is what you expect of a car with these figures . Understeer , grip , oversteer . But with a bit of commen sence this is a very driveable car .
The understeer happens when trying to turn in sharp , yet it is only the first 2 meters orso . then the car settles in nicely ... basicly no problem you just need to turn in the corner a little to soon ..
When the car settles in it actually is nice and stable in the corner . well for a pick up obviously lol .. but still it can go around the corner .
As far as the oversteer goes , it only oversteers on command or unless you cant control youre right foot ( trotthle )
wich makes it a lot of fun .
It isn't the fastest on deep forest fun running solid 1.14.5xx it is still competitive for online use .

Spa Francorchamps :
This was very intresting , seeing this is a completely different track compared to deep forest . but it felt like i was driving a different car ... It was like the car was tuned for Spa ... doing Au Rouge followed by raidillon at 225km/h ( 140mph i think that is ) in a pick up was surprisinly fast ...
I did change the top speed for both tracks obviously :P .
This is a wider track so beeing able to take the corners a bit wider i did not suffer the same amount of understeer , actually there was close to none , then again there aren't that many sharp and tight corners .
Powerwise the truck was doing rather well with reaching the required speeds on the straights needed for a proper time ...
2.21.xxx . was the average time lap .

All in all a very fun truck to ride , i would suggest running this truck on the faster tracks out there , short and twisty tracks can be done bit you need to pay attention due to the heavy nose and you will need trotthle controle . Faster tracks seem more suited .
I don(t think this truck will run top 3 on a average online lobby but i am sure you can have tons of fun in the middle of the pack , if you can drive i am sure you will surprise a lot of opponents ...
All in all a very fun tune / car combination , a job well done 👍

Thanks for (finally :P) testing my truck. :D How did you get the gearbox to fit for Spa? New autoset or a higher final gear? I might try and make the gearbox shorter if you're going to use the truck at Spa. I'm guessing you're top speed around there is around 180mph?

And if you want V8s…is a 700+hp wild horse good enough to satisfy you? :D

i used final gear , always use that to try and avoid the settings to screw up ... its set to 180 yes , wich it can easely pull of due to the bhp :D

yes i tried the V8 pony , it was scary but it has potention of beeing turned into a fun 550PP online racer with little effort

Ah, good. I might retune the gearbox for short tracks, as the current top speed is something like 200+mph right?

Just take the supercharger off. Best way to tame it. 👍

Edit: DaDog, about the Tacoma, it's now back on share, but try setting B and C if you want a better gearbox for Spa, B is a slightly longer setup than C, so if you want a snappier car with slightly better acceleration, try gearbox C. If you need some room for draft but need to maintain the close ratios, use B, then for the very long and fast tracks, use gearbox A. [/epic confusion]

Nicely done so far Theo 👍

I´m 2.2 seconds behind the No Stripe at the moment with my tune but I want to try more cars for this challenge.

edit:

And my tune isn´t a Ram or Pickup ;)

raVer

Its sometime in the future... the ultimate challenge... Crossfire!

'04 Chrysler Crossfire
269hp
1360kg
450p.p.
Sports Hard Tires
Only Settings: ABS 1, Controller Sensitivity 4

Note: the power limiter was moved from 97.4% to 92.2% :dunce: after an engine rebuild. Only have my one until it shows up in UCD again.

I gave it four attempts and here is my best result.
eifelcrossfirewin.jpg

Those supercars in 3rd through 12th place are now just slow race traffic :sly:

eifelcrossfirefail.jpg

I can almost taste victory with the Crossfire, just need more practice.

Ford GT40 (no stripe) better watch out or...
Crossfire! You'll get caught by it!

:) Happy Holidays Everyone! :)

Hey, DaDog, if you didn't read the edit from my last post, there's now 2 newer gearboxes for the Tacoma that's on share, one's longer (slightly) than the other, but both should provide decent acceleration and top speed for Spa. (Bear in mind that the gearbox was a complete botch as I can't test it much due to the family needing the TV)

Assuming you haven't already left, go ahead! I need some input from others, I'm still new to this tuning thing.

Yup, it's so easy to drive, even on sport softs, for such a big ole brute.I do remember it topping out when drafting the GT no stripe. I'll check up on that when I'm back home.

Yeh, you had it off-line before I left (taking pics for your post no doubt). So I couldn't take it for another spin... sorry

It was just someone that sent me a FR on PSN saying they were a fan, and then told my my tunes suck, I only tune easy cars, or ones that noone uses, blah, blah, blah, ect., ect., ect.,. They may have a point and I may need to rethink the way I tune, but thank you for your support 👍

Glad you got a better job! See you in the garage soon :dopey:

Oh, it's ok. :D

And if so, tell them that if they could tune a fully spec'd Dodge Charger/Challenger/Chevrolet Corvette/Chevelle/Chrysler 300C on SS tyres better than you have without the use of any driving aids at all, then he can say so, but until they have tried to tune themselves, they have no right at all to criticise you for what you do.

Anyways…MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL!! :D

Thanks Onboy. Thank you very much. You have a Great Christmas as well 👍

During some time to play GT5 online some friends wanted to set up a Holden race series, and since the Outlaws and Clueless did a GREAT job with the Pandas, I was wondering if they could battle to set up a great Holden tune too. :D Maxed tuned with racing Med. Is that okay?

I might (like Dog said which one?) but it may ne a while, as I'm not quite sure of my tunning at the moment, so I hope your series doesn't start soon

Side note - hope everyone had a great few days. Happy holidays

I'd like to run the Commodore (because I have that one) but a tune for the "Monaro" (I think it's called) would be good too 👍

It starts Jan. 10th. And I, as well as others, think your tunes are very good! "dancer" is very fun to run in the Stars and Stripes seasonal, and most (I don't have all) of your "Christmas Special" are very fun cars to drive. Keep up the good work. 👍

If you're second guessing yourself and the tines, then that <censored> bastard has won. His aims was almost certainly to dishearten and discourage you, and doing this means that he's succeeded. Don't let the words stick to you for so long, or I'll have to scare them out of your memory by means of a 610hp Mustang on bald rear tyres! :D

Oh, and battle of the boxes anyone? Nissan Cube vs Toyota bB. :D

And about the Commadores, how about we do a collaboration tune for it so that there's still an element from each of the two garages while still giving frosty his car.

I like feed back, good or bad, that's how we learn to tune better, and enjoy the game more, but all out hatred for a person and how/what they tune can stick with you for some time. But I will not let it bother me and I'm not second guessing, just trying to plane my method of attack to answer my Haters.

I do have a Cube that I was tuning some time ago. I think the Scion Toyota has the advantage though

I'm up for a joint effort in tuning a Commadore, that might be fun as well :dopey:

*mutters* Commadore, mate…wrong car……

Think of it as a drive then, there hate will power you forward to get better, to prove them wrong. :D

Ok then, fully tweaked and tricked, the Nissan cube it is! And speaking of the Scion…anyone up for entering it in the Stars n Stripes seasonals? :dopey:

Yup, it's settled then, the car will start in Clueless and we'll add the finishing touches…just one thing though, where the hell do we put it?

Good. :D

'Gooder'.

Hmm…Lawless Cluedout?

Anyway, started work on that Commodore (Spelled it wrong all the way, until of now ), it's pretty easy to drive…though I am only driving it at 490hp and at full weight on SS tyres.

About tuning it is very strange at certain times , i have tested cars that stick to the road and cars that feel lose as hell but still run the same track within tenths of a second it all depends of wich style you prefer .

About tuning easy cars , i think looking at the garage list we don't have many commen and easy cars .

As for cars that nobody uses ... well not knowing the person who said this to you , but it was the most important note of the message , indeed we don't have much cars you see continously online , and thats why i love the garage , granted i might not be here for that long and might have little credit to make bold statements yet , but if he wants easymode car tunes ( Honda NSX or BMW m3 ) please tell him to go 🤬🤬 and some 🤬🤬 oh and don't forget to 🤬

yes i am beeing polite :D , you and wallbringers garage stand out because of this and that is what makes it so much fun .

Might want to ask the head outlaw before we join forces :nervous:
:dopey:

Hope you all had a great weekend! :)

I gave the Scion xB a go at Laguna Seca in the Stars and Stripes Seasonal. It took me the full racing soft tires and a broken driver side turn indicator but I managed to complete ruin an American Supercar event with a 223hp, 426p.p. front wheel drive box. :dopey:

perfectly good photo of a GT40 ruined by an xB. 👍

You beat me to it

@Onboy, '98 or '02 cube? :dopey:

That's cool that you would join together. (are you going to merge the two Garages? ) What ever you come up with it is sure to be great. (series starts on the 10th :D )

Nope, we're not merging. Just for you and your Commodore, we're joining forces once only to see what kind of crap I can cook up for the guys at clueless to fix. :dopey:
