TURTLE RACING LEAGUE - ENDURO Racing Series - PRACTICE TONIGHT!

My stop was the same mic the car stopped for a split second before it pulled into the pit box. The drivers crew behind me were all set up also. I just thought I came in the pit lane to hot though. Maybe not.

I came into pit on the 2nd race full speed and didn't notice any delay. Not like on daytona road where you come in to hot, it kicks you back to the start of pit lane.

First race though i came in slower because I wasn't sure if the track did it.

It must have been because the driver in the pit stall behind me was on his way into the pits and the game slows you down to a stop almost before entering your pit stall.

The two races were quite Fun. Back and forth with Psycho race1 and then trying to keep Drex for hunting me down race2.

Thrilling races like that where it's a battle the whole way are what makes this group so much fun. I hope the rest of you got some battles as well 👍

i love the reverse grid races, it is such a challenge for everyone and i hope it helps everyone to engage in those fierce battles; it generally allows us to race with everyone on track! and that is a true joy:dopey:

I enjoyed listening to Shred cussing at his car all week too HAHAHA!

Thats one of the main reasons this Series works so well.
Well also all the good people involved. You gotta have that to make it work.
Shout out to all the Turtles.👍

I'm glad someone enjoyed it. :) I just could not handle that 🤬 car.

Great pictures. I like that Orange in the 8th pic from the bottom. Anyone know the exact color?

I think that's Casamofo's car.

I'm trying to dial in the size to get 2 photos side by side to save in the lenght of the post. Next time I'll go a little smaller.

I think the width for the forums is 900 or 800 wide.

Nice pictures by the way.

For whatever reason, I felt the opposite, I thought that it was fairly controllable. But then again, I messed up the break in and was down some hp.

Well I'm back! Ill like to join you guys with #33 with blue car and blue wheels. Let me know if theres something wrong I will probably begin starting next week

Hey Ph1sher, welcome back! The color combination you have chosen is available. Someone already has light blue/light blue so make it a medium or dark blue please. The number you chose is in use however. Please refer to the Drivers List to see what numbers are available. Thanks, and we hope to see you on the track soon!

Welcome back Ph1sher.
See you on track.

Hello guys jay*doc will be hosting practice tonight at 8:00PM EST. He will start practice races at 8:30pm est. We hope to see some of you there.👍

What I what do is take the largest size and then post. When you post something that exceeds X width and height(don't know exact values) the website will re-size it down to a more forum friendly size.

As mbobb said, I'll be hosting practice tonight. I know we have a few new racers with us, so as a reminder, practice will be in Turtle Town, found under your community tab, and join Turtle Towns Lounge. Car will be the Impreza TC, tuning is prohibited as always.

Hope to see you all there!

You da man jay*doc, thanks for hosting! 👍

For people that had gotten new wheels, if your using a DFGT, mod the brake pedal. You can find videos for these on you-tube.

There are several options.

A. You can take the pedals apart and adjust the spring.

B. You can use a bungee cord method.

C. You can get a spongy golf practice ball and drop it in the hole behind the brake pedal. That's what I did before I got my g25 pedals. I did two things differently than the videos/pictures.

1. I super-glued the ball in place.
2. I took an awl/knife and pierced the ball all the way through to make a little more spongy.

I did find the sponge ball method was maybe a little to hard to push, but was definitely a whole lot better than the stock method.

Getting used to the wheel just takes time. Basic rule of thumb is that every track you are going to re-learn. Yeah you know the track and all the turns, but it's such a different can of worms using the wheel.

Spinning out is still a problem for me. I will catch one every now and again and save it, but sometimes your just going to lose it no matter what. Lower powered cars seem to be easier to catch it if your losing the back tires.

Tip for DFGT users. Re-map the sequential gear shift knob to something else besides shift-up/shift down. Use the paddle shifters for changing gears. I have my seq shifter set to e-brake and reverse.

YES!

Truer words have never been spoken. Ever try finding reverse while trying to go lock to lock to get out of a trap or off a wall? I felt like a cartoon and my arms would tie in knots!

Also, I noticed Friend say he turned down the sensitivity, I found that 0 or +1, 2 help with the spin out reduction, because the tires respond to the steering wheel faster. I'd rather quicker steering response and rely on my own feet to go light on the gas and break than vise versa.

I read it as the setting in the Driving Options Menu, but I could be wrong?

With traction control and such. I believe that setting is just for DS3 controllers. I think the only adjustments made to wheels are in the front screen options menu where you can map buttons.

Another DFGT tip. Map two buttons to "look left" "look right" I use the L & R buttons that are on top of the wheel spoke. I think they are L1 and R1

Those functions are already programmed into the round controll pad next to the left thumb. If you dont want to reconfigure the shifter. Some times on tracks like Cote when going thru the hairpins I will use the shifter because the paddles are way out of position.

Interesting, the mind is a powerful thing, I thought I had better response with it on +1, but wound up back at 0 anyway. But, if it were related, I'd still think more is better.

Well I wanted to save my 1,000th post for something good, instead it's something bad.. My trusty g27 has failed me.

I just completed the 9 hour Tsukuba enduro in our Impreza TC last night and this morning my wheel is not calibrating correctly and I've lost downshift on the paddle! Seems the last 3 hours straight on the enduro has killed it. I've been inside it all morning trying to solve it.

It was a used g27 and I've had it for over 2 years and use it almost every day.

I'll be looking for another and I have my tax return on its way so I'll get it soon but don't know how soon!

CRAP!

Hey NJ, sorry to hear that, but on a slightly different subject, I used to live in Bristol, PA and was in the mini truck scene. Are you in a car club out there?
