Do you guys mind if I change my colors?

Plus, I can still race in division 3 rather than 2 right? Personally, I would rather stay in 3.

It is fine to change colors as long as the colors are not being used by someone else. Yes, you will be in Division 3. 👍

Turtle Racing League - Enduro Racing Series

Race 27: Indy Road Course
Car: Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR '08
Laps: 29
Tires: Racing Mediums
Date: February 16, 2013
Prize: Level 20 Ticket

The "Golden Rule" of Motorsports
"It is the responsibility of the overtaking driver, meaning the car that is attempting to execute the pass, to make sure that the pass is made cleanly and incident free."

Rules

You are expected to follow The "Golden Rule" of Motorsports and adhere to the GTPlanet Online Racing Rules and exercise Good Racecraft at all times, especially in turn 1.

"Rubbin"

This is a non-contact sport. Let me put it another way, if you are "rubbin", you ain't racing in this league! We will not tolerate individual drivers taking the fun out of racing for everyone.

First Turn

You are not going to win the race on the 1st turn or the 1st lap. Therefore, it is the policy of this league for you to hold your position in turn 1. Holding your position in the first turn is limited to the first turn on the first lap. You must hold your position through the 1st turn and make no attempt to advance it unless the following situations occur: 1) The driver directly in front of you is asleep on the start. 2) The driver directly in front of you runs off course with at least 2 wheels off the track. 3) Obvious race incidents that must be avoided. Other drivers may draft past you before the approach to turn 1 if it can be done incident free. In other words, if you are able to fully draft past someone without incident or disruption to the other driver(s) with a reasonable distance before approaching the first turn you may. This rule is in place for 2 reason: (1) to avoid incidents in the first turn, and (2) so that drivers doing their part to avoid incidents in the 1st turn of are not taken advantage of. There is no sense in causing an incident in the congestion of the first turn. Furthermore, it is inappropriate to take advantage of other drivers doing their part to keep turn 1 incident free. If a complaint is filed, the decision we make will be one that promotes an incident free first turn.

Dive Bombing

Dive bombing is unacceptable, and only results in accidents. It is not the same as passing under braking. Dive-bombing is when a trailing car intentionally brakes late to dive underneath the car in front of them as they are turning into a corner. The trailing driver must move to the low groove for at least 3-4 seconds prior to corner entry, so that the leading driver can see the trailing drivers intentions in his mirror. However, running the low groove is not a guarantee that he will allow you to pass, it is only an indication that you wish to pass him on the low side.

Procedures

• Division 1 will race at 10pm Eastern in the TURTLE_Division1 lounge

• Division 2 will race at 10pm Eastern in the TURTLE_Division2 lounge

• Division 3 will race at 10pm Eastern in the TURTLE_Division3 lounge

Connection Issues

Please follow the procedures below to help minimize connection issues.

Step 1: Reboot your modem/router before entering the appropriate Turtle lobby
Step 2: Reboot your PS3 before entering the appropriate Turtle lobby
Step 3: Clear your GT5 in game System Cache before entering the appropriate Turtle lobby

Pit Stops

Drivers need to be very careful entering the race track when exiting the pit. Please look at your map to see if other drivers are near the pit exit. Drivers exiting the pit need to stay in the pit exit lane until the track is clear of cars on the track. Cars on the track have the right of way.

Penalties

The corner cutting penalty system works very well on this track so we shouldn't have any issues with corner cutting.

Quitting

Drivers are expected to finish races no matter what position they are in. Rage quitting is frowned upon! :grumpy:

Microphones

Although you are welcome to use microphones during the race, they should only be used to communicate your proximity to other drivers in order to avoid an incident. Otherwise, either mute them or make sure any background noise in non-existent.

Reminders

Be sure to break in your car. If you did not get a chance to break it in, you should at least change the oil.

Race Incidents

Legitimate complaints are encouraged, they insure a better racing environment for everyone. Complaints should be addressed by "Private Message" to the race steward of the race in which the incident occurred. Please include race number, lap number, and time of incident. A ruling will be announced after a video review by an independent steward.

Final Note

Race Clean and Have Fun!

Just a track boundry question, when coming out of turn 12, can we go up to the wall or should we keep at least 2 wheels right of the white line on the outside?

Thanks

I would say that as long as the game doesn't hand out a penalty there its ok. Do you gain any time by going wide?

Div 1 and 2 have joined in division 2 lounge. If you race in division 1 and no one is there go to division 2.

Roy was too fast for me tonight and I still ran constitant 33s and 34s man he flew great racing in division 3 guys!!

That was a blast tonight! Most fun I've had since visiting NASCAR speedpark... good racing tonight guys... great job Roy

I think I'm on the regulation bubble in Division 1. Since we had a limited number of Division 1 drivers show up tonight, we joined Division 2, and while it was a good race, I finished last in our group twice. Therefore, I firmly believe that I am on the bubble, and if I race next week and finish last, I'm going to Division 2.

Thank you guys and thanks for the clean racing. Someone asked me my fast lap. Race 1: 1:33:116 race 2: 1:33:225. Qualifying was 1:32:977. I never could get there during the race even with lower fuel and a draft. Vipers at Indy! I was excited!

I thought it was a great call combining div 1&2. More people on the track is always better. In Qualifying I set a 1:30.6 or something like that and had similar fast times in the race. I loved how this car drove off the corners, plenty of grip and lovely rotation. The tire wear was excellent through 10 laps of my 1st stint so it allowed me to change my brakes from 1-0 to 8-6 to allow for more efficient braking and allow the rear end to rotate while turning in. Made the car a bit nervous getting into turn 4 but nothing too bad.

I hope some of you watch the replay and see if there is anything you can learn from the way I was driving compared to your styles. From what I could tell turn 4, 6 and coming out of 10 were my advantages. Turn 10 I accelerated in 2nd gear, I don't know if anyone else was doing that.

Probably won't be around next week.

Great racing guys, especially the battles between me and Casa :P

I was so exhausted from the past couple days that I had to park it in fear of hitting someone.

First off great racing by everyone this weekend congrats to the winners!

For next week I noticed there was a circuit de la sarthe 2009 version and a 2005 version and really the only differnence is the 09 version is .01 Miles longer. So I'm just wondering which circuit de la sarthe it is.

My fastest time was a 1:32.1. I started with a 0/0 brake setup in the first race and ended with a 0/4. I was able to run consistent 1.32 and my tire wear was pretty even front to rear. Great track car combo.

Last night was a blast. The Viper was fun to drive at Indy.

My first race was pretty good.

I decided to challenge myself and beached it on the first lap of the second race, reentering well in last place. The other Turtles, being such a friendly bunch, didn't want me to be alone in the back and several decided to park in the grass at the entry to the banking. Shocked by such an act of generosity I drove slowly to let most back by. About 10 laps to go, I finally recovered and put in some good times (for me). Mbobb put on a similar (but better) charge and really closed the gap. Unfortunately he had used up his tires and I managed to stay ahead.

Overall it was great fun.

Next week was quite a challenge, the F40 is a bit of a handful around Le Sarthe.

I had a good race last night as well, no lap times to set the world on fire, but consistent. Overall, I think division 3 had an awesome night! Turn 4 gave me the most trouble personally, but I only had 2 or 3 off tracks, I just could not get the entry right.

Division 3 photos will be up tomorrow.
