One thing to remember about that hanis turn 1 during the race will be people taking the inside line to gain a place.
I'm sure most will be taking the far left side of the track before turn 1.

Probably going to bite the bullet and get a new video capture device to record from the PS3.
Will probably just get the standard definition one instead of an HD one. Unless anyone wants to donate then we can talk about it.

Practice tonight was great. Everyone's times improved. The practice races went well. Even the 1st turn wasn't bad. Great jobs guys!

Thanks. I thought for the one race I was involved in I did fairly well. At the end of 10 laps I think my front tires were about 50% and backs were around 60-70'ish.
I figured micantony and psycho were going to catch up to me at some point. I think both of their passes came on mistakes for me. Definitely remember going wide into the cones at last turn and psycho came up around me.
I think my fastest lap was 2:15 something, but I was surprised how long I had kept a 2 second gap on you guys. It did seem as the pack stayed together for longer than I expected.
However, I think on this track with close traffic it's easier for the lead guy to get away. I have nothing in front of me and don't have to worry about when the guy in front of me is going to brake for the next turn. It's like that on any track, but here you can see it a bit more. At this track if you go off on a turn you're screwed.
Once psycho got in front of me he was gone.
I think I only had two shortcut penalties, one at the chicane and one at turn 10 where if you go to wide it thinks your shortcutting. Once into kitty litter and then into the cones around lap 8/9.
Hopefully I can do better on Saturday.
So was something said last night about people posting times on Racing tires? So what are the fast times people are getting. I had a 2:15.1xx in lounge by myself the other night.

to answer your inquiry:
my best lap was a 2:13.2xx
but my lap times are all over the place right now. anywhere from 1:13.5's - 1:17.5's for the most part.
and i find the harder i push, the slower my lap times, so i definitely have work to do to find the proper technique for entry and exit on several corners. I rarely drive heavy cars like this that aren't race modified, so driving this camaro fast and consistent is a real challenge to me.

but my lap times are all over the place right now. anywhere from 1:13.5's - 1:17.5's for the most part.
and i find the harder i push, the slower my lap times, so i definitely have work to do to find the proper technique for entry and exit on several corners. I rarely drive heavy cars like this that aren't race modified, so driving this camaro fast and consistent is a real challenge to me.

2:12.876 was my fastest on sports softs.. It was legit but I can only get that low on the first or second timed lap. After that it's 2:15-2:16-2:17 and I struggle with laps 8-10. Tires are begging for a pit stop..
