TURTLE RACING LEAGUE - ENDURO Racing Series - PRACTICE TONIGHT!

regardless, we should do a race with that car on the ring...a long race :)

2-3 hour enduro timed to do 24 hour game cycle. i think it would be fun and honestly, we could do 2 different types of cars maybe for the classes. one much quicker than the other so we can see more people on the track :) (turn off penalties too)

anyway, i digress...

probably better saved for gt6 with 32 cars on track :)

We will most likely have to wait a while anyways before we have enough people to fill each of the divisions. Maybe GT6 will be out by then (:P)

Hello guys.
Looks like we are going to cancell the race for Saturday due to the holiday, we will just move everything back 1 week. I think we will still have practice this week just wont race Saturday.
Thanks guys.

I just ran 6 laps had to be real conservative I could run 6 laps in the 2:42:00 range and still keep tires on it

^That is probably about what I will be running to conserve my tires. I was able to run 2:38:00 pretty easily after just a few laps of attempts, but I was shredding my tires.

Pit strategy looks to play a part in this event. If pushing you are able to get 3 or 4 seconds more out of a lap but need to pit 1 or 2 extra times I may depend on the length of the pit. I remember losing a close race by about 20 seconds on suzuka at 560pp to guy who pitted twice more than me. If I had thrown 1 extra pit in and not lost so much time the last 3 or 4 laps of my tire life the outcome may have been different. How much time is lost between lap 2 and lap 6? Should be a fun race. And by guy I mean Mic:ouch:

If I pit every 4 laps the last 2 laps would be very interesting! :D

So maybe the slower folks that don't thrash their tires have an advantage. :)

I usually see how long the pit stop takes away from your time. (ie pit stop takes 40 seconds, when you would have passed by pit in 10 seconds, so there's a 30 second delta)

Will try tonight if I can.

Good point, but if there is a specific point on the track, or a sector that is really hard on your tires compared to the rest of the track, maybe it is wise to only slow in that part of the track? 💡

I'm not sure how the tire wear factors in, as I haven't done any laps yet due to the fact that I'm really not a fan of cape ring :indiff:

Honestly, I think it is the ring itself that wears the tires so much. I actually did some laps Saturday night after the races I like Cape Ring so much. 👍

I like Cape Ring Inside. :)

Not a fan of the loop, the jump, or that quick slight uphill/left turn/slight downhill/right turn after the jump.

I received a message to check out the Turtle Racing League. My old eyes don't have the stamina to read through the 100 preceding pages, can someone give a quick summary of how I sign up and when we race?

Thanks in advance for helping out an old gearhead-gone-virtual.

How to Join Turtle Racing League

Step 1: Post your request to join along with your PSN ID in this thread and include your request for "Division A" if you wish to use driver assists, or "Division X" if you are one of the best of the best. Also (optional, but highly recommended) choose and include a unique (refer to drivers list) car and wheel color combination. You will also need to choose a unique car number for cars with number plates.

Step 2: Accept the friend requests you are sent which will include our TURTLE_Town lounge that is to be used for practice, testing, free run, or casual pick up races.

Step 3: Purchase and break in your car(s) then change the oil. Do not tune them in any way. Races are "Tuning Prohibited" however, the "Tuning Prohibited" filter allows for changing brake balance, torque split, engine limiter, and adding ballast.

Step 4: Join the appropriate divisional lounge on Saturday night at 10pm Eastern / 7pm Pacific
