TURTLE RACING LEAGUE - FORMULA 1 Racing Series - EVERYONE WELCOME!

They were two of the most exciting and clean races I've done in a while. The no passing on turn 1 rule is brilliant. Thanks for organizing this series.

Great race last night!!! I really had a great time considering I have never driven the F2010 lol!!!

Cant wait for next weeks race!!
Special thanks to Shred and Psycho for hooking up the cars so I could race!!!! Much appreciated!!

My rule of thumb with engine rebuilds is around the 2xxx mark if you are trying to stay all the way competitive (trying to hit first place all the time) for people who are more on the poor side i would say old off till the 3-4K mark.

As for chassis rebuild its different. What the chassis does is pretty much straighten everything out. After many hard races the chassis will become warped and will start mess with the handling of the car along with tire wear.

As for when to do it depends on how you drive the car and how many times you put it into the wall. In my opinion around the 3-5K mark if you are into the wall alot. if you keep the car in the track most of the time you can probably stretch it out to the 10K mark.

This what i found on the Gran Turismo Wiki.

"Over time, a car's chassis can become slightly warped due to all the flexing it has to do during cornering. This makes the chassis straight once more, and stiffens it back up to new condition so that the car handles better. It is recommended that the player perform this along with Overhaul Engine if the car has done a lot of hard racing between being serviced, or after being purchased. "

Pretty much I recommended for this league to to a engine overhaul and Chassis Restore at the 2-3K and at the 5K mark respectfully.

Also for those who are wondering the cost of the engine rebuild and chassis rebuild is around the 1/3 the cost of the car for each until it reaches a max of 250K for the engine and 500K for the chassis.

This is great, thanks Friend29!

Turtle Racing League - Simply The Best

I have just received the prize 24 ticket and would like to pass it on to someone needing it. First response gets it.

We are glad you enjoy the series Joe. We appreciate your participation! 👍

Super sweet pictures FFK and shredTec! Those F1 Rocket GO-Karts are a blast. Thanks guys!

Sorry for the delay guys, long day today.... We're practicing tonight in the Turtle Town lounge, 8pm EST.

See you there!

Hey guys, working Thursday night and will not make the race.

Yeah, I'm bummed. I don't have time for any scheduled racing until next Thursday. So far I'm scheduled off and looking forward to it.

I plan on being there next thursday hopefully we can start a little earlier than next time was past 10:00 when we finally started.

My schedule was shifted around a bit and it now looks like i can make it tomorrow night :) What times are people running at Trial Mountain?

Not sure Joe I have not practiced with that car/track combo yet.
Hopefully someone will chime in with a answer for you.

I tried out a dozen laps when I found out I would be able to race. The last few laps on full fuel (don't usually test much on low fuel) were 1:04s but I tend to lose time on this track with other cars. I wouldn't be surprised if no-bull is doing 1:01 and 1:02s but haven't heard from him yet and have nothing to benchmark yet.

Anyone remember what the quick times were from practice?

Anyway, doing a split shift today so no time to practice at all until early afternoon tomorrow. Then I'm back out until just before the race.

I will post here if and when I get a chance for practice tomorrow afternoon.

That's great news Joe. I hope we get you, Maxime, and no-bull together.

I have an exam on friday, maybe I'll make it thursday night... or not

edit: I tried ~15 laps.
Best time was 1:03.750, almost full fuel too.

My best lap was a 105.073, RacingOtaku86 did a 104.6xx. So i'm sure you will get into the 101's or better. :)
