Two more maintenance periods, 7th & 9th July

I'd really like to try keep this thread on the rails this time and not have to read more than 6 pages of nonsense.

I mean, by all means feel free to get excited, but please, PLEASE, for our sanity and reading's sake, do it when it's over something more than blind hope.
 
I wouldn't think anything would happen until after the second maintenance. But even then,maybe next month we will see something.
 
speculations that tomorrows maintenance will bring us a "big" update?

since the servers are still the same, I think that the deal with those two long maintenance periods are preparation for new content not server upgrades.

Well since maintenance is going on with some Sony games , PD could have known this before than us and have something ready , not that i think that was the case but i'm just saying.
 
As I expected no content immediatly after but that's not to say that I'm mad at PD, has anybody noticed improvements in online gameplay? I have not yet been able to go on and being actual maintenance surely there has to be some improvement.

Slightly improved as for now.

It feels the same to me. The usual disconnects, invisible people, etc issues still exist.
 
You should adjust quality of your room.

I sets "standard" for course and "very low" for tchat and it works well for me and my friends.

We were able to finish a Super GT championship without problems - 8 races / 1h30 each -

The problems still show up on low for the quality, we've tried it. PD's servers are VERY hit or miss. Sometimes, you can get an OK room. Other times, not really.
 
Second part of the maintenance periods has just about started. If I'm correct, it says there 11:00 GMT is the start. Converted to GMT+8, that's 19:00, or 7:00 PM where I live. And it's now 7:00 PM. Guess I won't be able to play GT once I get home. My login bonuses :(

I'm not gonna get my hopes up on new content, I think PD is just going to surprise us with whatever they've got. If they're going to revert the physics back to pre-1.09, that's good enough for me. :D

Either way, you're not playing until the wee small hours of the morning - but if it ends earlier than the 0100 GMT+8 schedule, you may be in luck.

Also you don't have to play every day to keep your login bonus up.

1 AM, by which time I am already asleep. Oh well.

My problem is that I don't have my login bonus yet up to 200%, I wanna get that first before I do the Seasonals (including the SRT Tomahawk event, YES I haven't played that one yet). Running low on money at the moment because I bought and tuned cars I've never tried before.

Set XMB timezone to the next to reach midnight.
Boot GT6 up.
Receive bonus.
Manually save game.
Exit.
Set XMB timezone to the next to reach midnight.


Best time of day to do it is starting at midnight GMT+6.5 as there's a cluster of timezones at 6.5, 6, 5.75, 5.5, 5, 4.5, 4 and 3.5 that will allow you to bump up extremely quickly. Utilise daylight savings too, to add in another 0.75 timezone.

LOL, that's like the old ticket duping days in GT5 for our birthdays and stuff. Man, how many accounts did we all create with Sony back in those days of collecting tickets? :lol:

There were some months i spent more time duping and using the Bspec widget than i did actual driving i think :dunce:.

I remember doing that quite abit. I would copy my game save to send one of my cars without actually losing any of my cars and I even farmed the hell out of certain expensive cars between two accounts without using so much money

That's the only reason I even have a gfaqs and gtplanet account. All to make friends to trade with. My stupid butt still keeps three accounts going just in case.

I was thinking just this morning about sending 5 chrome chips a day to a sub account for ticket trade bait.
