I am hoping Celtic get a magical comeback tonight.
Yeah about that.I am hoping Celtic get a magical comeback tonight.
2-0, 6-1 aggregate. Bye bye CelticWhat was the score??
The match was played at Murrayfield since CP is still recovering from the Commonwealth Games.I didn't expect them to get through but I certainly thought they'd get a win at Celtic Park. 6-1 is just embarrassing.
Ah right. Also, Deila looks pretty stupid now as I remember him saying a few weeks back that Celtic were too good for the qualifiers. The match was played at Murrayfield since CP is still recovering from the Commonwealth Games.
Not that it made a difference
Who cares - Celtic stand to gain at least an extra £10 million if they make it past Maribor! So Celtic are reinstated to the Champions League and progress to the next round for some more humiliation
Sudan beat Zambia 2-0 in a Group D tie in Khartoum on 2 June but football's world governing body FIFA awarded Zambia a 3-0 win by default after ruling that Saif Ali, who scored the second goal, should have been suspended for accumulating yellow cards in previous competitive matches
In the 2004 qualifying [San Marino Under-21s] lost 6–0 to Sweden but UEFA later awarded the match as a 3–0 forfeit win to San Marino due to Sweden including suspended players in their squad
6-1Celtic there demonstrating what happens when you don't have a domestic rival.
I'm not sure that, if I were a Celtic fan, I'd want to be reinstated. Losing 8-1 on aggregate to another qualifier does not bode well.
6-1The funny part is that the guy literally played 2 minutes of the tie - the last two minutes of the second leg of the match, after all of the goals had already been scored. And he was only banned from the match because he wasn't registered in the 20+ man squad for Legia's 2 legs against St. Patrick's in the previous round.
And when I say "funny" I mean "mind-blowingly ridiculous that an 8-1 aggregate defeat can be overturned on the basis of an administrative error that had no effect on the match itself".
