Really?!!!!
We had double the number of shots, almost triple the number of shots on target, and forced almost triple the number of saves out of Van Der Sar.
So, if I tap ball to the keeper that's classed as an on target shot. I tihnk Van Der Sar only had to make one good save all game. He wasn't worked hard in that match at all. from what I can remember, if all but one of thoes shots had gone in it would have been pretty crappy goal keeping put it that way. That's the thing that's helped man U this year, just like it helped Chelsea to stay on top last year, and the year before. Man U are winning the games they're playing badly in as well as their good games.

Sir Alex Ferguson claimed Manchester United were lucky to beat Liverpool - and admitted the referee was right to send off Paul Scholes for violent conduct.
And so did I.

The Manchester United manager believes the last-gasp win over Liverpool at Anfield was a 'massive result' in the title race.
I believe it's possibly the game that wins the league.

While there's clearly something wrong with the possession stats here, the shots and saves totals make interesting reading considering this was supposedly a "negative, defensive performance" by Liverpool. ;)
Like I said, I didn't see much of the first half, and apparently that's when they had most of thier chances, barring a couple near the end after Barca were pushing everyone forwards. But from what I saw, in the second half they played like the weaker sides usually play away from home against a tougher opponent. I'm glad they went through from a Brits perspective, and I hope Arsenal, Man U and Celtic all go through today. It'd be fantastic for British Football if that happened as long as Man U go further than the other teams ;)).

"Aggregate", and no, they didn't.

yes I know we won because we scored 2 at the nou camp and they scored one at anfield therefore signalling a liverpool win.away goals :):)

Yes. A win on the Away Goals Rule != A win on Aggregate. They are wholly different things.

OMG, Celtic 0 - 1 Milan! in extra time! Big time phew! I'm just glad we passed and though I was not able to watch it, I kept updated on the UEFA web-page....

Ohh and one more thing:

OMG KAKÁ YOU'RE MY HERO!!!!!

Newcastle are 3-0 at home to AZ Alkmaar in the UEFA Cup after just 22 minutes.

EDIT: 4-1 at half time.

Chelsea have arguably the best chance, what with two home 1st leg ties and will probably face a second-string Valencia team (since half their players will probably be suspended after the punch-up with Inter Milan). Liverpool should go through, and my money is firmly on an all-Premiership semi.

The other half of the draw is much harder to call. AC Milan were poor against Celtic and have rode their luck. Bayern Munich will be a very tough test, and I think either team will probably face Man U in the Semi. My money is on a Bayern - Man U semi... Man U will struggle without Solskjaejakeajsjer, Saha and (esp.) Larsson, otherwise they'd be my firm favourites to reach the final. Somehow Alan Smith doesn't quite fill you with much hope :indiff: and Rooney has proven on several occasions that he is not really capable of doing it all on his own. Man U are still a strong bet though, and I wouldn't be at all surprised to see an all-Premiership final. Chelsea have a nasty habit, however, of choking on the big stage, and you'd be a brave man indeed to wager anything more than a bag of crisps on them winning the tournament this year, especially with Shevchenko blowing hot and cold, and Michael Bollacks failing to pull his ever-increasing weight.

We should have Solskjaer and Saha back by the semi-finals, should we make it. We should, all being well, have them both back by the second leg of the quarters. Smith isn't anywhere near as sharp as he needs to be, he can pull it off, I just wouldn't bet my money that he will. As for Rooney, he's not had a great season, his passing has been appaling imo. He's got plenty of talent and potential, he's just looked flat a good few times this year.

WE WILL KILL MUNICH TODAY! FORZA MILAN!!!!!

Plus, I'm glad sob Oliver Khan, and Van Bommel won't play :D.

OK so let's see; PSV could be a surprise for Liverpool, but I doubt it. Who's the best Liverpool player atm anyway?
