So we've got Ac v Bayern and Psv and liverpool today.

How are milan playing in the league as of late? Have they solved the problem of all their strikers being crap yet? Has Ronaldo settled in?

Peter Crouch scored an awesome hattrick against arsenal on the weekend, they beat arsenal 4-1 so he might carry on his form into this game. Mascherano looks awesome for liverpool as well.
Hum, Ronaldo is playing alright, Gilardino hasn't started for a while, I hope Ancelotti put him in today, he really needs to start playing more often; He can't just rely on Kaka all the time. But we're playing good as a group though, a had a lot of scoring chances on the last match, too bad we couldn't score that last goal against Roma. :(

Ronaldo....sigh....you never know what to expect from him. In some games, you see him as if he's trying to have that "phenomenon comeback", I mean, you could tell that he really wants to play good. On some other games, you'll see him dragging his feet like if he's just eaten a 32OZ. steak or something :indiff:, that's why I'd like Ancelotti to start Gilardino more often.

I didn't know Mascherano played for Livepool!!👍

EDIT: And it'll be the Ronaldinho & Ronaldo duet next year! although I wouldn't like them to play against my Udinese, we would get so beaten. :(

Hard!

I mean can you imagine it, C.Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and Rooney would be a scary attacking lineup.
You mean for Chelsea? oh hell yeah! , only squeeze Kaka in there and you're invincible imo.

lmao, he said in an interview "the most important thing, is to take Ronaldinho away from Inter" because I think they were also interested in him.
But I think they will get him, Berlusconi wants this guy really bad, and he has they money so...
So who starts upfront then, is it still Pippo Inzaghi?
I really wish... Pippo has been one of my favorite strikers ever, EVER. I mean, he's getting old and all, but he still comes thru when needed.

I think it's going to be Ronaldo and Kaka for today's match iono, they haven't revealed the lineups yet.

to be honest then Bayern have a decent chance. It should make for a good match for the neutrals anyway.
I'm just a cocky ass mofo. :P I am afraid of course.

All these multi-quotes are making me dizzy :ill:

Chelsea haven't been linked to Ronaldo either, they know they'd just be wasting time. Real Madrid on the other hand are merchants at the whole "we want so and so" regardless of if he wants to go to them or if he's available or not. Ronaldo has quite clearly stated that he wants to stay at Man U but Real Madrid just won't let go. Kaka in the meantime is linked with Man U and Chelsea at the moment. I think there will be a few changes at Chelsea in the summer, I think Robben will be going for certain if Mourinho stays.

Also you signed Ballack because he was brilliant for Bayern, he is a very good player, you can't always judge them on thier first season in the Premiership. Remeber Drogba last season, a lot of Chelsea fans wanted him out, this season he's been arguably the best goal scorer in the world.

Nobody was talking about C.Ronaldo leaving, I was talking about Ronaldinho possibly moving to man u/milan and thinking what sort of horrible team man u would be with three R's in the team instead of just two.
I know, it was backing up your " Nah i'm talking about man u" after AXL said "you mean for Chelsea?". Only one player you mentioned was linked with Chelase but all are either linked with or already play for Man U. You make a good point about Ballack though, he is a quality player but you do already have Lampard, so maybe that's canceling Ballacks usefulness out a bit.

The match is underway! both teams playing ok atm.

A big shout-out at my boy Brett who helped me watch this game from work :D

PSV might as well not turned up, Liverpool were all over them. Liverpool are a hard team to figure out, in England they're a class below Man U, Arsenal (though you wouldn't have thought so on Saturday) and Chelsea, but they seem to click in Europe. Season after season they play better in Europe than they do in England.

Bayern Munich should have won their game, that penalty was laughable and unfortunate for Bayern.

Today I'll cheer for Man. United and Chelsea; If an Italian team is to win the Champions, it can only be Milan and Milan :grumpy:

Good luck!

Is anybody watching the Roma game? good game so far imo, I'm rooting for Man. United but Roma doesn't appear to be the underdog we all thought they were.

Totti=class.

I wonder how Brett is feeling atm now that Valencia is tied with Chelsea at the bridge :D. I want Chelsea to win that one though.

Edit: O well, that sucked...

I never thought Roma would be the underdog the media made them out to be. I don't think any team that is good enough to reach the Champions League quarter finals can be considered a walkover. Man U in the first half didn't play well, and Schole can't argue with the two yellows that got him sent off. Rooney scored a good goal, dissapointed with the fina score but an away goal is very valuable and we have one so not all bad.

No.
Underdog to me, is not someone who can be walked over; Like you said, obviously if they reached the Champions League is because, they were either Champions of the league they are, or they were close to be.💡

Roma was considered the underdog because : Manchester has most of the time (if not always) known for being one of the best teams in Europe, they have plenty of cups and great players as well. There is no need to go over that because it would be pretty pointless as we all know it already.

Roma, on the other hand, is a good team, they are considered above the "very good" rating, but not side by side with Man. United.
If you noticed better, the UEFA page, was making it clear that the match, would be a much greater challenge to Spalletti (Roma's coach), and the players, than it was for Man. United.
Almost everybody that I know, (in Italy at least) thought MU was going to win the match, not necessarily by a big difference, but a loss definitely.

Now, after this game, obviously Roma is no underdog, and MU fans can see this clearer I think. Of course you're gonna come out with a reaction like this, because Roma really outplayed them. Expectations of a team after the first leg, is much accurate than before it.

Still sucked though. I wanted MU to win it :(

In the second half I didn't think that Roma out played us, but in the fisrt half we played very badly. I can't see Roma winning at Old Trafford though, I think it'll simply be a case of whether we prevent Roma from scoring or not. If Roma score 1, we need to score 3, if Roma don't score we can go through with a 1-0 win.

I said to one of my work mates earlier today, the media is building all this hype that Man U should walk it, I just got a feeling that sometihng wasn't going to go right. The Scholes got himself sent off at around 20 mins.

Well, yes. But! even though, I wholeheartedly share your predictions, I expect a very interesting and fun game nonetheless.

Chelsea's game today was a shocker. And who knows, maybe we'll see something like that at the Old Trafford next week, let's not exclude the bizarre odds yet. ;)

Scusa, stai zito per favore , Milan vincerà la Copa! :sly:
(I just said Milan will win the cup :D)

Totti played outstandingly though! I really wish we bought him instead of trying to get Ronaldinho...
Roma won't use Totti for Sunday's Serie A Match, 'cause they wanna keep him good for the next leg of the Champions.

O my God !!! Rome 4 life, guys!!! 2-1 !! Tuestday we romans completed the opera...Eheh!!
I would get your hopes too high, it will be a very different game at Old Trafford. At the same time, it can't be counted out either though but I don't think we'll be a player down through most of the next game.

You mean Ronaldo?

Great night for English football tonight. Chelsea stun Valencia and Man Utd absolutely dismantle Roma. Brilliant! :-)

Great night indeed, it's looking very much like a Liverpool v Chelsea quarter final, and hopefully a fully English final after that. What a match at Old Trafford, 7-1, I would have been happy for a 1-0 win after the last match against Roma. We don't tend to play as well in European competition as we do domestically but tonight we couldn't have come back from two defeats in a better way. Chelsea managed to come back from 1-0 down to win 2-1 in the end. Chelsea are the come back kings at the moment, no matter how late in the game they never stop digging if they need a goal and time after time they score on late on.

If we'd done that against Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Chelsea ect, then I'd say it was the best performance in the Champions league ever. But not to take anything away from Man U, but Roma were shocking and that has to factor into where the game comes in the all time best performances.
