You and me both, whatever the result I'm sure it will be a fantastic game.

Interesting. Chelsea definitely has a great chance againts Liverpool tomorrow.

How about Joe Cole's goal, eh?

Drog's cross was amazing.

EDIT: Can anyone see the youtube video? I can't.

Joe coles goal was very good, the corss was spot on. It will be a good game tonight and I expect Liverpool to come out firing at the start of the game.

Liverpool have to score 3 tonight to make it through imo, can't see Chelsea failing to score.

Holy crap, what a great goal by Agger. That thing had some mega-bend.

1-0 Liverpool, I still think we need 2 more.

Only if Chelsea scores... I don't think they will, to be honest. Go Liverpool.

we are into added time, oh god this is really tight.

:'(

I cant bare to watch.

1 second after i posted,: EXTRA TIME TO BE PLAYED

HOLY CRAP. Kuyt's offsides was B.S. I thought they had to have feet offsides, not shoulders.

I nearly threw out 32" TV out the window
i ran all the way downstairs to say IT'S OFFSIDE'

god's sake.

Quit complaining. If Kuyts goal was onside then so was Drogba's chance he had earlier on where the flag wen't before he took a shot. Not that it matters anyway. Congrats to Liverpool, I was hoping Liverpool would win this. Now I'm hoping Arsenal beat Chelsea on Sunday after a Man U win against Man City on Saturday. Fancy, Chelsea losing two competitions in as many games. That'd put a really big smile on my face.

The big game (form my perspective) though is tomorrow, and I seriousely hope we do the business against AC Milan. We need an early goal, and from there we don't want to be holding Milan off for the rest of the game. Good news is that Vidic and Ferdinand may be playing.

I wonder if it's going to be a rematch with Liverpool and Milan. One thing is for sure: Tomorrow's game is going to be amazing.

I'm glad Chelsea are out. I hate watching Chelsea.

Technically, any part of your body you can play the ball with counts these days.

I immediately texted my Chelsea-supporting mate to say hard luck and even he said "Liverpool probably deserved it", a sentiment that obviously wasn't shared by Jose Mourinho... it really disappoints me to see a man of his talent and stature to behave in such a pathetic manner after the game. Sure, they must all be gutted, but to sit as cool as you like and say with a straight face that Chelsea were the better team last night takes a fanciful imagination. Someone should maybe tell him that gamesmanship and verbal diarrhea are pointless once you've already been knocked out of the tournament!

I wasn't that impressed with last nights game. Was quite lively in the first half but I thought the second half was pretty poor. Liverpool were trying to play the counter attack with no pace up front. Chelsea were poor on the attack aswell. Benitez should have brought on Fowler or Bellamy a bit earlier to add some pace into the side. The offside was harsh but from the linesmans point of view that was a tough one to call. The penalties were excellent from Liverpool, no one lost their bottle. Just wish Lampard and Gerrard could put penalties away for England.

If Man Utd win tonight we're going to have a tough final against Liverpool. Liverpool haven't got an important game left now until the Champions league final. Man Utd have got a tough run coming up, Man City away, Chelsea away, West Ham (relegation games are always tough), FA cup final and then four days later the champions league final.

I hope that Utd don't have any more injuries. I think we should leave Ferdinand out the side tonight as we're going to need him for the rest of the games.

Actually, the offsides line ESPN drew on Kuyt's call wasn't even parallel to the box. That alone reassures my thinking that ESPN in america has absolutely no clue about anything to do with soccer.

Hmmm, Liverpool are in the Champions League Final again! 👍
Has Harry Kewell declared himself fit again yet?!!!!! :mischievous:

So hopefully by tonight, we'll find out if we'll have an all british final, or an final of two red devils!

Forza Milan!

Man Utd could save the planet if they win tonight!

This is an utterly preposterous idea and a totally pointless piece. There is more chance of the next Cricket World Cup being a success than of this happening. But here goes anyway.

Italian affair: Andrei Shevchenko scored in an all Italian final in 2003
If Manchester United manage to see off AC Milan tonight, we will have an All-English Champions League final in Athens on May 23. Which means that around 70,000 people will be making their way from England to Greece at vast expense (you will faint if you look at the air fares) with huge amounts of hassle involving time off work, the inevitable scrummaging at airports, and the substantial security headaches that will be created. As if all that's not enough, there's also the future of the planet to consider.

Friends of the Earth estimate that if 40,000 fans go by air, travelling 4,800km, each one will be emitting 0.8 tonnes of CO2. By a very complicated formula that I don't understand but seems plausible enough, that means the entire annual CO2 emissions from a city the size of Bangor or Truro (and only fractionally smaller than Ripon) will be matched by supporters heading off to a game that could easily, and with a bit of imaginative thought, be played in this country.

Uefa could compensate the Greek FA and hoteliers in Athens for their lost revenue, by increasing ticket prices at Wembley accordingly. It would still mean substantial savings for all the fans concerned. And temperatures would not rise unnecessarily by another unseasonal degree or two.

It is of course absurd to suggest that such a move might happen in the next three weeks, but someone from Uefa might be reading this, and could perhaps give some thought to football taking a lead in an unusually statesman-like manner.

What about a clause in the Champions League regulations that says: 'In the event of both finalists coming from the same country, the match will be played at a neutral venue in that country. To help save the planet.'

Stranger things have happened. Although, admittedly, not many.

But shouldn't football realise that it's not always just about the blues and the reds. There should be room for some green as well.

Mamma Mia!!!!!!!! Seedorf!

I don't know what C. Ronaldo was trying to do in the first half. He's been a little too individual lately, and apparently he's too young to understand that big teams are not formed by individual players.

Agreed. Gatusso is having a hell of a game! Milan's defense is just a freaking big red wall. I don't understand why Ancelotti took Pippo out for Gilardino. But we're still owning :D, for now...
