I honestly think that Harry can get one over on Mourinho. If spurs go into the game with the same confidence and lack of fear they have shown so far then we may well all be in for a shock. Tottenham Chelsea final would be too good :)

I'm not very confident of the Spurs chances after watching them dominate West Ham this past weekend and only come away with one point. We'll see how they look two weeks from now.

4-0, game over.
The same can be said about Inter - Schalke. I can't remember any team conceding 5 at home at this stage.

I woudn't quite say that one is over, but Inter will have to play a whole lot better in the second leg, it certainly isn't looking good for them either.

Mourinho 4 - 0 Tottenham I say 0 - 2 in London

Internazionale game was a surprise to me...

Real will play a defensive possion game at Spurs, I can't see Tottenham getting much out of it. I was hoping for a better contest tonight but Crouch was stupid going in for that second tackle straight after being booked for a similar one. Some refs might have given him a warning not to do it again but you can't say he was unlucky because they were both bookings.

I didn't know which match to stay watching.....Schalke's asswhipping of Inter or Real's demolition of Tottenham, all I know is each time I switched channels, another goal would be scored!! I saw around 8 or 9 of the 11 goals from both matches.

'Schalke' the Nerazzurri tonight, indeed! Methinks they got in touch with their inner-Peter Gabriel. Maethinks Inter will need at least 4 goals more to have a chance to stay alive.

As for Spurs, methinks a viewing of their match against Young Boys is a must for inspiration before they have the return leg at White Hart Lane.

Don't even mention it. Changed channels and stayed watching some women. Switched 10 seconds later, and Adebayor had scored the first goal of the match. Wanted to kill myself for that. :ouch:

Personally, I believe both Tottenham and Inter are out.

On the Peter Crouch sending off, a local sports commentator said that in England, one was more likely to get just a verbal warning the first time, then get the cards.

Lets go United! London's hopes for a trophy could be ended tonight.
EDIT: Way to go Rooney! Let's keep it up!

Fantastic performance by Barcelona. If nothing extraordinary happens in second legs, Barca will play Real fourtimes in two weeks, due to their La Liga and Copa del Rey meetings. Incredible

Really good performance by United as well and first win at Stamford Bridge since 2002. Solid defending from all defenders and VDS, Carrick played really well today as well.
It's a shame really that it is overshadowed by ref's decision about Evra fouling Ramires in stoppage time. It's not a good decision, but I think that Essien should be booked twice (3rd minute tackle on Rooney) and so should Torres (outrageous diving more than once). So it's quite even. Also, I doubt it's in the penalty area anyway (http://yfrog.com/gysfdywj).

Have a feeling Manchester will get dominated at home tomorrow, I'm thinking 2-0 Chelsea with a Lampard pen for good measure.

Seriously doubtful about that, United are pretty much invincible at Old Trafford this season. United have momentum, winning 6 matches in a row in a month. Chelsea have a very slim chance here, they need much luck to get a decent result. Or 🤬 ref, which is more likely.

Manchester have got lucky a number of times this season, they haven't even been playing that well at all, a number of their draws should have been defeats. Chelsea need much luck, eh, what... Their team in perfectly capable of going to old trafford and getting a 2-1 result, it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest. Newcastle fan here by the way, so bias views :P

We'll play on the counter tomorrow which means Chelsea will likely have most posession but we'll be very compact at the back and hard to break down. If we get a goal on the break then the ties over imo because I don't see Chelsea scoring 2 goals at Old Trafford, it's within the realm of possiblity ofcourse but I don't think it will happen. Unless they score first, then maybe, but if they haven't scored within the first 15 mins I think we'll keep them out.

Either Torres needs to score or Carlo needs to bench him and go with his squad that scored for him. The big boss will axe Carlo with a real axe if they don't progress in CL.

On another note Barca need to come out guns blazing cuz shakhtar can do some damage on home grounds.

As for Madrid. Well I don't think spurs have it in them to beat em big. Great run by them though. Bale was def talk of this season the way he ripped both Milans open!!!

Torres had a good game by his recent standards... he touched the ball atleast twice this evening... that was £50 well spent if you ask me... no, wait, £50,000,000  Ouch.

Ryan Giggs, on the other hand... what can you say? One of the greatest players ever to grace the game... created all three Man U goals in the tie - epic performance, and epitomized the difference between the nouveau riche in the Premiership (Chelsea/Man City) and plain old-fashioned greatness.

Rooney played brilliantly tonight, and Park re-affirmed his status as a solid and often under-rated player. Chelsea were unlucky not to get a better result in the first leg, but they can't complain tonight, esp. since Ramires got himself sent off. Man U look good to reach the final, and Man U v Barca or Real will be a very tasty game indeed... would be a very fitting tribute to Giggs and Ferguson if Man U can get a third Champions League trophy each...

Ancelotti's decision to play Torres instead of Drogba from beginning is pretty inexplicable to me. I can't help thinking that Torres was Abramovich's whim and Ancelotti does not want to play him but he probably is under pressure from Roman. It's like with Shevchenko.
Giggs - just fantastic, 37 and playing so well. Created all three goals against Chelsea, just incredible. Same applies for Raul, who's found back of the net once again.
Heurelho Gomes 👎 How is it possible that CL quarterfinalist has such a poor goalkeeper? Another howler, Spurs need to look for another goalkeeper in summer (just like Arsenal and United, actually). But you have to admit that Real was just better and fully deserved semi-finals.
And interesting fact from BBC:
Schalke 04 defender Atsuto Uchida has made his own piece of football history by becoming the first Japanese player to qualify for the semi-finals of the Champions League
