I think that Drogba was genuinely injured for a bit of the match because he went down holding his calf a few times and divers usually grab there head when they go down. He probably didn't warm up sufficiently. As I can see, you are from the US so you probably don't know how cold it was last night here. I can tell you it got down below freezing point.

I don't agree with that, Drogba is a pathetic sod, he whinges about everything. The sooner he disappears the better. Everytime he goes down, I bet he is looking out the corner of his eye, waiting to see if his play acting is working.

You mean like he did against Napoli, that was pretty funny. There is probably a video of it on youtube. Here you go, Drogba doing what he does best.

So much for the beautiful game. Hopefully Barca will get the job done right on Tuesday.

The problem with that is some of their players are no better, Sergio Busquets I'm looking at you.:sly:

If Barcelona was Real Madrid, sure. But Barcelona is Barcelona, and Pep Guardiola would never think of taking the game to physical extremes in order to win.

Barcelona will play the way they always play. Keep control of the ball, move it around, search for spaces, and do their best to score when they find them.

By the way, most games usually games more yellow cards than goals. :P My prediction is that Chelsea will have more yellow cards than Barcelona in the next match. Barcelona will do everything they can to break through Chelsea's defence, and Chelsea in turn will do anything (even if it means resorting strong tackles) to protect their goal.

Usually, but the poor sod that they call a referee didn't issue any in the first half when he should have.

A bit late but saw both matches. I believe Real Madrid will knock out Bayern Munich in Madrid and I also believe that Barcelona will exhibit even more possession domination but win out big at Camp Nou for a classico CL final. Would love to see Chelsea knock out Barca though!!! Barca though... on paper... total domination! 80% possession, 24 shots, 2 off post, Chelsea barely doing much and still Barca lost.

Fabio Coentrao was being slammed by the media lately as all of Real Madrid's losses apparently came from when Coentrao started, and Lahm beat out Coentrao on the wing for Bayern's 2nd goal. To me it looked like he slipped a bit but I feel Coentrao is simply a better defensive minded LB then Marcelo. I like Marcelo but 1/2 the times he forgets he's supposed to be defending, not just attacking on the wings.

This Saturday is the Classico at Camp Nou... seeing that both clubs played tough games for CL mid week, and they play each other on the weekend... this could really hurt both for the 2nd leg matches. Chelsea faces Arsenal over the weekend but I think the classico is going to impact the spanish sides a lot more. Bayern Munich is fairly locked in 2nd place and won't win the Bundesliga so they have it the easiest right now. Rest most of the starting squad specifically for the return match.
Should be interesting!!!!

PS I can't stand Busquets...

Munich is a pretty tough team this year in Champions League competition. One would expect that, on paper anyways, that Real Madrid would make it a tough match up, but they would not get by Munich on Away goals.

If I had a choice between the two Spanish teams, I would say that Barcelona would get by Chelsea. They are a ball possession team, an attacking team, they did everything right against Chelsea in England, but a lucky goal in Stoppage time in the first half put Chelsea over the top right now.

So who wins today? I hope for Chelsea but a Barça and Real Madrid in the Finals would be awesome too:).

Anthony Percival on Twitter: "Interesting to see that John Terry has gone with the same team selection from the first leg."

 Come on Chelsea, truly believe they can do it. Score draw.

Not sure if I want Chelsea to loose ASAP or if I want them to loose in the final to show Fernando Traitorres up the most..

I think it says something that 8 of Barca's starting 11 are from their academy.. Nothing like that anywhere in England I can think of..

:( Oh dear not looking good now.

Terry sent off, game over.

2 - 0, this could get embarrassing.

Wow, an away goal as well. Now all they have to do is put 5 at the back at defend all second half.

Pathetic display by Chelsea, hopefully Barcelona will get another goal during the second half.

IMO, Chelsea getting to the finals will be pretty unfair. They are certainly not a better team than Barcelona.

Barca missed a penalty. It shouldn't have been a penalty anyway due to Fabregas' awesome diving skills.

Portugal lost the EURO 2004 against Greece like that...👎

It's a shame to hear about it.

Fernado Torres scores against Barcelona. I don't believe it.

Wait, he scored with only Valdes ahead of him. Now I believe it.
