The amount of times Spain have kicked the ball at Switzerland's keeper is not a good sign for a Penalty Shootout for them.

Regardless of who wins this Penalty shootout, Belgium and Italy must be rubbing their hands with glee. They should stomp either of these teams in 90 minutes. Both have now done two extra times in a row.

The Swiss lads were fun, though. good tournament from them.

Italy somehow managed to be offside twice in the same goal. Thankfully it was disallowed.

Whoever came up with this absurd new rule for not calling offsides immediately should be disciplined... preferably by the North Korean military.
Mbappé has been denied a one-on-one with the goalkeeper during the first group match, because a referee didn't follow that rule.
I prefer a ruined goal celebration than a ruined goal opportunity.
Maybe one day technology will give us real time offside accurate analysis.

That was an awful penalty shootout, some of the penalties were shocking...

Switzerland 1-1 Spain (after extra time, Spain won 1-3 on penalties)
Belgium 1-2 Italy.

A Zakaria own goal and a Shaqiri equaliser in normal time and the Swiss had Freuler sent off, and then we had the mostly terrible penalties but it was Spain who progress to the semi finals.

Another fantastic Italian performance and they were the better team by a mile, two great goals from Barella and Insigne and Insigne's strike was a banger, Belgium got one back right before half time after Doku was brought down, it was quite a soft penalty but I think it was correct, Italy used their experience in the second half to see the game out but they were dealt a blow when left back Spinazzola was stretchered off.

Spain v Italy is the first semi final of Euro 2020, it was take place at Wembley on Tuesday.

Really poor penalty shootout by the Swiss. I mean, absolutely atrocious some of them, which is a shame after playing roughly 45 minutes with a man down.

Italy showing that they might be the favorites to win it all, after today's performance.

That's going to work well in the World Cup of Death in 2022, isn't it?

Yesterday's matches were full of flopping. Today we have two guys playing with head bandages, one of them still actively bleeding from the looks of it.

Edit: Go Denmark!

I'm torn now because my English mate (who now hates Scotland, apparently...🙄) will win our work sweepstake if England win the tournament. He will be insufferable enough if England win, so for those reasons alone I'm kind of hoping they don't win.

In all seriousness, I do want to see England win tonight...

Let your inner Unionist flourish!

Deary me, how hard can it be to take a knee simultaneously? 🤣

1-0 already though, Ukraine looked statue-esque in defence!
