I've said it all along, that Morata is 🤬 useless!

Fantastic game, congrats to Italy... got to be favourites for the Championship now.

Italy 1-1 Spain (after extra time, Italy win 4-2 on pens)

Spain mostly dominated the game with most possession and shots, it was 0-0 at half time and then Italy scored thanks to a fantastic Chiesa strike following a great counter attack, Morata came off the bench to equalise with 10 mins to go, Spain had some more good chances in extra time but it went to penalties, Locatelli and Olmo missed a few penalties after were converted until Morata had his saved, Jorginho scored his to put Italy through to the final.

Great game to watch, I feel for Morata a bit as both he and his family have had some shocking abuse.

Had to rewatch it and Chiellini saying "It's the history of the Tottenham" is maybe the most brutal quote from a footballer.

Chiellini 🤣

Technically that should have been a straight red card for punching Jordi Alba.
And for manhandling 💪😁
Spain mostly dominated the game with most possession and shots
Yeah they were the tactically superior team today, stopping Italy's usual style of play by simply denying them the ball. But Italy would not be stopped and I think they have been the stronger team overall in the tournament.

I knew he was going to miss when I saw his look when he was walking up. I got the same vibe from Mbappe too.

Donnarumma not keeping a clean sheet means that Jordan Pickford has won the tournaments golden glove.

Football's stopping in the pub on the way for a swift half.
Football's wife has just texted to say 'Where the hell are you? You better not be in that bloody pub again!'

Great game now.

Denmark have wasted too many corners and set-piece opportunities.

England have a huge advantage now with extra subs (and the quality of their bench) if it goes to ET.

An even first half but I think England dominated the second, Denmark well organised.

Extra time...England really don't penalties with Schmeichel!

Soft penalty for England, and a terrible penalty from Kane but got lucky with the rebound.

Sterling has been disappointing tonight... missed a sitter, dived during the 1st goal (even though it was irrelevant) and dived for the penalty too. I can't stand it when quality players ruin great games with their cheating.

The only saving grace is that I think England are now dominant and could go on to score one or two more to seal it. I hope they do, because to win on the strength of that penalty would be really poor.

Either way, England are going to get creamed by Italy if they play like this in the Final.

Kudos to the ITV commentary team who also seem to think the penalty shouldn't have been awarded. That said, it's easy to be magnanimous in victory :P

Sweden started well but ran out of steam after 75 minutes or so. 90-120 was brutal, injuries everywhere. The red card was well deserved. Congratulations to Ukraine.

I predict England vs Italy in the final. Would love to see Denmark make it all the way though.
That post has aged well.
