UEFA Euro 2021 But Yet Somehow Still Euro 2020 Finals

I'm the other way round now.

Sadly, given that Sterling has absolutely played for it, and hurled himself to the floor like a toddler who has been told he can't have a bag of Maltesers from the confectionary aisle, there is the slightest of slight contacts with his trailing leg. He has absolutely conned everyone into it, he was almost certainly already on his way down, and it's a filthy way to win a game (and the product of years of referring to players as "winning" penalties; you can't "win" a punishment), but the referee has to give it.

Still, even if they are going to cheat their way to the final, they're playing Italy... and Italy are both better at it and more blatant. Check out Ciro Immobile's remarkable recovery in the quarter-final...
What do the rules say about 2 footballs on the park?

Apparently the referee can ignore it if he thinks it doesn't interfere with play.

What I do find strange though is that VAR wasn't brought in to double check the penalty.

Sorry, I meant why VAR didn't ask the referee to have a look on the screen.
Ah, I think they only do that if the VAR team flags something contrary to what the ref saw. There was enough contact (not much!) to not warrant the decision being over-ruled.

Its final day!

England fans were spotted queuing outside pubs at 10.30 this morning!

My mate from Walsall started drinking about three weeks ago.

I'm watching the game at his house tonight, so officially I am supporting England...

Just to put it out there for later, as I'm sure it will come up one way or another, online especially, the "Russian" linesman from the 1966 World Cup final was actually Azeri.

And with that out of the way, time to crack open the whiskey early doors...

Sounds like it will be back to three at the back for England.

Trippier in for Saka.

I am wearing my blue Juventus top to my (English) friends' house just to wind him up.

I've got a white T-shirt on underneath to reveal just at the moment he threatens to throw me out.

I have one green sock and one red sock on just as a hidden visual gag.

Hopefully England can win and comfortably. Personally think this is by far the strongest England team so far I've seen in my lifetime relative to the competition.

Tbh, I do want England vs. Argentina for a Confederations final... Its all up to Sir Harry Kane and company!!

Edit: 0-1 England!!

1-0 at half time, good first half from England, it was all Italy towards the end of the half but they haven't done much so far.

Rice is running the show in midfield.
