No, I believe there's an age limit for teams fielded in the Olympics (<23/24?), with an exception for 2 or 3 players over that limit which (naturally) rules out a sizeable majority of those currently playing in this tournament. Are these teams going to go play in the Olympics also?
I wonder if the teams frome the group of death are falling apart due to, not only dhaving less time to rest between the group stage and last 16, but also the way that group was comprised of high intensity games until the end, where literally no team had an easy game, compared to the other groups.
France played two group games in very hot condition - so hot that the UEFA inserted refreshing pauses during the game.I also heard that France would "up his game" once they got out of the group, and yet it didn't happened.
...and the quarterfinals are now set for Friday and Saturday.Tough on Sweden to lose in the 120th minute like that, it was a bad tackle but it looked like he went for the ball and just followed through, it always looks worse in slow-mo.
Last 16 done, and what a few days that was! Quarter finals start on Friday.
Did he...did he just pick a booger and eat it?
Now pair that with 3 highly demanding games very close between eachother, 2 of them against top opposition and 2 of them with the opponents having home advantage. Pair that with being the group with less time to rest between the group stage and Last 16, and then, atleast Portugal and Germany, facing top opposition that were already through to the last 16 after their 2nd group game, so they could rest some key players if needed. Not to mention that atleast England played at home.France played two group games in very hot condition - so hot that the UEFA inserted refreshing pauses during the game.
I'm used to see Mbappe play (like once a week), and i never saw him look this tired, and it was very early in the yesterday game.
France has been unbalanced by a lot of injuries in group stage, which led Deschamps to change his system during the first half against Switzerland to adapt to players, using Lenglet in defense despite him not having played one single minute for a month - he's responsible for the first Switzerland goal and was replaced at half-time. Once France switched back to its usual system in second half, despite Rabiot moving to an unusual position, France was back on track. Stats show 26 attempts at goal, not bad at all...
The major error occurred in the last 15 minutes, as the team didn't choose between keeping his pressure and pace to continue to overwhelm Switzerland, or lock the game and switch full defense. They took the middle path and got what they (and Switzerland) deserved.
Only he can answer that...Did he...did he just pick a booger and eat it?
[vomits a little bit in mouth]
It's not the first time. He has a habit of picking andDid he...did he just pick a booger and eat it?

No, definitely not.Did he...did he just pick a booger and eat it?

Finger food.It was only a small sampler, an appetizer perhaps.
We're better than 2 teams! Get the open top bus out. 😂As a light illustration of the madness, here's the current table if the tournament was a league, and taking results at 90 minutes (but counting all goals):

That second one shows very clearly that Netherlands, the best eliminated team, have as many points as the two worst remaining teams combined... and a better goal difference!
Also all four Euro 2016 semi-finalists are now out - and only one quarter-finalist will survive, as Italy face Belgium...
