Ugly But Appealing Vehicles

The SD1 is possible one of the coolest cars on the road right now, it just looks... hard.

If you had one you may have been either a farmer, with a shotgun... Or a gangster, with a shotgun... Or a
Rover employee obviously.

SD1s look pretty cool I wouldnt mind driving one in the states.

The 800? Not as keen on the original 800 fastback. But I do like it. (Which still carried the Vitesse name, I see.)

TBut the facelift 800? What a beautiful creature! Especially this one with some 'sporty' trim.

Oh, you're not wrong. The post-facelift R17 800 is what sprang to mind first in fact. While the original 800 lacked those subtle curves and the Rover front grill I've always liked, it's not a bad looking thing. The Fastback especially.

And unlike the SD1, it was available in an equally handsome coupe guise:

Shut up and take my money.

I'm sure that's strictly a government vehicle though. Would be surprised if you can have one legally on the road.

I see one all the time Driving the Streets of Albuquerque have also seen CUCVs and Pinzgauers too. Should be no problem getting it registered.

Edit button is your friend; multiposting is frowned upon.

And the DeLorean is... an example of the opposite of this thread.

Handsome but unappealing. A terrible piece of engineering which resulted in Colin Chapman and John DeLorean stealing taxpayers' money.

It got a role in Back to the Future

And that's why it's supposed coolness annoys me.

People want the time machine version with a flux capacitor. Not the Belfast-built death trap with Ford Cortina brakes.

I wouldn't call it handsome. It's not ugly, but far from a looker. However, it is very very appealing, even if it's a piece of crap.

I Really Find the 2007-2014 GMC Yukon/Yukon XL Ugly But Its Very awesome for Long Trips and can tow Heavy Boats all day long And it has a Very powerful Engine the 5,3 and the 6 Liter and 6.2 For the Denali Trim

They are great cool cars but the Z31 is always been ugly to me. Plain wedge with very little styling. Now the MKIII Supra is much better.

(Know I am going to catch hell for this one)

I love Ford of Germany for making cars like this:

It's another one of those cars that some people don't like the look of (mainly because they're calling Ford Aston Martin copy cats now), but the Fiesta ST is quite Epic!

Buick Regal GS. Factory supercharged V6 240HP. Very easy to get way more HP in a boring boring wrapper. One of VERY few FWD cars I would own.

That same engine was installed in the Grand Prix GTP and will run 14s in the 1/4 being FWD, totally stock, with 200k miles on it.

Also been a fan of this although most people I talk to say it's terribly ugly.

I like the Carlton. it reminds me of a 4 door Fox Body Mustang.

.

Exactly 3800 V6. The Regal is 200 or so lbs lighter than the Grand Prix as well.

The Grand Prix had the 3800, the GTP models at the L67 version with the Eaton Supercharger. The engines were based on the same thing but a lot different because the bottom end had to be built to accept boost.

Quite aware of the NA vs S/C differences I have been thinking about buying a S/C Regal for about 10 years now. Ever since I saw a Thrasher performance modded one in Hot Rod Magazine back in '99 or so.

I saw a mildly built L67 in a Grand National last week that was blowing away 350 SBCs down the track and other cars, and my friend who has an L67 in his GTP kept saying it just goes to show what that motor can do. Helluva V6. I've worked on early 3800's in school before. Didn't like to stay running with open headers, with cherry bombs it still ran hot. Even melted heat resistant paint lol.

Most notably the Ford Fusion, looks very similar to Aston Martins. But I suppose that's due to Aston's designer doing Fords now.

*cough*and ruining the mustang*cough*

The new Fusions are selling remarkably well. I see them literally everywhere. The front is still a little bit funky but in person they look a lot better than they do in pictures.
