Eh? Seriously?

I weighed it, it was 40 grammes, I chucked a 2nd class postage on it...if you have to pay something for it, i'll re-pay you in a couple of weeks time. Unless the ellipsis is highlighting that you are on a wind up?
 
Seriously. Was the packet particularly thick or wide, 'cos they have new rates for "large" things. If it was a Jiffy bag, it'll have been too big for 2nd class.

Either way, the surcharge is less than the cost of the petrol it'll take me to get to the post office, so I wouldn't worry!
 
It was in a jiffy bag. It was a standard letter-sized packet, mem cards aren't particularly thick...

I'm about to go to the Post Office to pick it up, and the cost is going to be £1.15. You can buy me a diet Coke at the Nono to make up for it ;)

So atm we have 7 PS2s, Hugo has given us that network adaptor (thanks), shall I bring my fattie along and we put it in that? Or has it got put in the back of a fattie, already? We're going to have to steal some PS2s I think....or, and this may be a silly suggestion, but can't you sometimes rent consoles? Do they have them in Newark?
 
I'll have a look on eBay and see if I can get one or two cheap ones, they always come in handy.

For the second time in a year, i've bought a PS2 purely so we have enough equipment for a GTP LAN!
I got another PS2 this morning which takes the slimline total in the Famford household to three :lol:

Well, it'll come in handy as a DVD player when we move...
 
Also, I forgot to mention that the PS2 i've bought comes with a copy of GT4. And also Buzz so we can have some non-GT4 fun ;)

So, with Hugo Boss's network adapter and a volunteer's fattie, we have nine. Since we currently have nine racers, that'll be enough. If Car-Less turns up (please let me know ASAP!), he'll be bringing his own things, so we'll have 10 for 10. If Alex and OiF1 turn up, I hope they're bringing some stuff with them. Either way, we're all sorted for Saturday and Monday, with Sunday's Dutch-inspired antics TBA.
 
I'm scared now!

I can bring my fattie, it'll be fine for GT4, hopefully.

I have something special planned for this too, btw, and you won't know till I turn up on Saturday morning, but I think it'll be really good.
 
Diary free - Check.
Transport available - Check.
Finances adequate - Check.

I guess I am in then, but Famine was incorrect as to my equipment.
1x well worn DS2.
1x billionty revolutions GT4.
1x Memory card containing the events I PM'd him about.

I have no wheel (and won't require one), my Fattie has no network adapter and has started to DRE, and my only telly requires the rest of a 7 year old desktop PC to operate so will be staying behind.
 
Can I suggest someone brings their fattie too, then IF mine does break down we have another to put the network adaptor in. I don't think it will, I use it regularly still (Red Dwarf is my night time story btw).
 
My 'new' PS2 arrived this morning. I only won it yesterday!
And the seller wasn't kidding, it literally only has been used a handful of times and comes with a nice shiny DS2.
 
So we look set for 9 racers. Will this be a 5-machine LAN and 4-machine LAN, set-up then?

Got my hair cut, so I'm looking trendy. I'm all set, just got to pack next Friday night. Anything else we need to sort out? Everyone got accommodation sorted?
