I liked it when they picked The Stig up from the Airport lol.
That was my favorite bit 👍

BTW, What was so ''British'' about the Ascari?? If i remember correctly its built here right? But that makes no difference on how fast it goes! It could have been built in Egypt and still would have been as fast! Thats not a British car and i wouldnt call it a super car either even though it proved to be quite fast.

The fact that it's built in Britain by a British company makes it British. They never said where it was built had anything to do with how fast it would go, only that they'd been waiting for a British car to get in the top ranks of the power lap board.

True, but imo its not a British car which set that time so i wont acknowledge it as a British car in the top ranks. Thats my opinion though, yours may differ...

Because they named it after an Italian? If the company that makes it is British. And it is built in Britain. Then i think it qualifies as a British car.

Exactley and if your going to split hairs that not all the parts are built in Britain then you can pretty much count any British car out of being British and the same goes for many other manufacturers. It's like saying Noble is African.

It's a second slower than the British Ariel Atom. That "top ranks" enough for you?

If Britain played a bigger part in the car other than constructing it then maybe i would agree with you guys.. but i just dont think its British. It doesnt even look British.
Like i said, thats my opinion, i maybe wrong...

I forgot about that car.

I think you guys are taking this too seriously. I didnt say i was right, its just my opinion.

Ian Wright to be on this Sunday's Top Gear, as this week's Star in a Reasonably Priced Car.

Other Highlights

Jeremy finds out what is faster, a rock climber or the new Audi RS4?

Not to be outdone, Richard and James buy a pair of scruffy old barges and have them converted to be driven by a radio controller. To their horror they discover they are pitted in a contest against a remote-control racing champion, who's also a 13-year-old girl.

Meanwhile, the dazzling Porsche Cayman is put through its its paces folks.

In last weeks episode, when they showed clips of what was to come, I think I saw a bit of that remote control bit. From what I saw, May was controlling the car, and Hammond was sitting in it!!!

It looked very funy when he crashed!

I can't stand these countdown posts.

whisper, less than 15 mins now.

Yeah I'm not overkeen on the Audi face either. The RC cars were cool and JC got absolutely hammered by thoes climbers. I liked his opinion of the Cockster too.

The RC cars were funny! Especialy when the 13 year old girl came along. :D That map search thing was funny too.

Shame they didn't like the Cayman that much, I like it myself.

The climbers at the end were MAD!

I think the Cayman has one of the ugliest rear ends to grace a sportscar, the front's not too bad but it's looks like every other Porsche so it shouldn't.

This weeks episode was v-good indeed, I love the look of the RS4 and i would easily buy it over the BMW M5. Yes that Cayman is a foul looking car but it looked good when driven, but im definatly not keen on it at all. i would give this week a 4/5.

I liked the bit when they were talking about people wanting to be in a car with Clarkson. That bit was a laugh, oh put her back on.

I found this episode a bit lacking in actual car footage.

Good verdict on the Audi however I cant wait for it to be tested against the upcoming new M3. I think BMW will have to up the power of their V8 to atleast 430hp to keep up with the current trend of the german horsepower war.
