I completely forgot about the new Top Gear season :scared: Good thing I stumbled into this thread. Guess I know what I'm gonna do once I get home from work 👍

Cool they are always out making a huge scene and yet these are the first pictures from a spectator I ever seen.

They have recently been filming the special somewhere as well, Hammond hinted on twitter a couple of weeks ago that its in Australia...

If only there was someway I can watch their latest DVD, Pm if someone knows (sorry for the not so subtle hint)

Got the dvd for Christmas, watched it last night, thought it was pretty good but the ending was awful, I know they had been stopped, fined and banned but that's no excuse they could have easily put in a proper ending...

...also , there is a documentary about cars and speed with Luther and Mandela actor Idris Elba on BBC2 tonight and tomorrow night...

Found the DVD under the tree as well...

Can't be the only one who's past Clarkson's brazen and constant "cheating". Got quite cringey at times.

Also, *SPOILER ALERT* my ass that a Cayman is faster around Monza than a Huayra.

Just watched the second part of Idris Elba King of Speed and I really enjoyed it, Ari Vatenen is such a character, calling Idris Beautiful and getting into the sauna naked!

@MUSC4EVER That king of speed was pretty bad in my opinion. It had huge potential, but it was presented towards people who knew nothing about cars, yet the programme would only appeal to car enthusiasts. It also had basic, unforgivable factual errors, like saying the Austin Mini Metro was derived from the BMC Mini. The worst though was the supposed fact that MINI entered the WRC with a Countryman in 2001 :odd:

Any programme should not be aired with glaring errors such as that. I did like Keiichi Tsuchiya on it though, probably the best bit of both shows.

This basic question is more geared to Europeans around the Basel area. In series 12, episode 4(Yes, the infamous race to Blackpool), I, as an American, have been trying to put some research into the starting point in that race. I know that the starting point is at an Esso fuel station within the city, but beyond that, it remains a mystery to myself. I also know that Jeremy took to the motorways in France, which if you take Google Maps' word for it, is a 12 hour, 50 minute drive to the city center of Blackpool. I also know that if you take the route that would pass Strasbourg and Metz to Calais, then once you hit England, drive up the M1 then to the M6, is a 12 hour, 39 minute drive. This is like the 12th time that I have attempted to find the starting point for this particular race, so for my ease of mind, some help would be thankful.
