Some comments on the video above are still complaining about the departure of CHM after 3 seasons... They seriously need to get a life.

We're blessed to have two great motoring shows airing alongside each other, what more could people want?

Looking forward to the stuff they are going to do with luxury saloons.

The announcement of Paddy and Freddie for the next series kinda makes me wish this lot could continue!

The thing with Paddy and Freddie is that we don't really know what they'll be like. They could be utterly terrible but they could be brilliant: it's now just a waiting game.

I hope they click, can imagine it will be very 'lad-ish' but its also whether it works on the car side of things, that will be interesting to see.

They do all seem to be very similar: they all like cars, they're all roughly the same age, they like going fast, they like winning court cases (OK maybe not Chris),... But, of course, that doesn't man they'll get along. But if they do, these similarities may help them out.

Series 26 starts tonight at 8pm BBC Two.
Betting on about 3.5 million viewers (overall, including iPlayer). Hopefully I'll enjoy it - although I'm certain I will.

Am I right in saying that the main film tonight about the estate cars was actually recorded for last series?

The Power Lap record gets broken in tonight's episode, I unfortunately know which car it is the breaks the record as it was in the Daily Mirror on Friday. :grumpy:

^Well no surprise really. The GT2 RS is on the same level as Ford GT/Huracan Performante/720S so it's bound to beat the old 675LT. I'm surprised it didn't beat it by a bigger margin to be honest.

The previous 2 episodes were boring but this one brings the excitement back. Just straightforward car reviews without filler challenges. That Speed 8 is just  Makes me wish Ascari is in more games than just GT6.

The latest episode with the 6 grand luxo barges was fantastic. Reminded me of CHM's endurance race with the diesel BMW in a way. Probably my favorite episode of the series so far.

Yeah that episode was honestly up there with some of the best CHM stuff.

Harris-LeBlanc-Reid Top Gear has generally been better than a lot of the later Clarkson era Top Gear tbh.

Chris Evans was a mistake but I feel like the show's now had a breath of fresh hair where before it was starting to go a bit stale

Agreed this episode is their best yet. Harris' V12 Merc sounds godly  Shame this season is so short and this week is already the last :( While nothing is as good as classic CHM, this trio has really gelled in the past few seasons.

Also, they've been knocking it out of the park with the Extra Gear guests this season. I always skip SIARPC but I watch the whole interview on EG.

That final episode of the LeBlanc era was excellent. Every car segment was really well done. If only every episode from the past few seasons was like that.

They also had the teaser for the next season...

Sad to see Matt go, he really surprised me and he brought a lot to the show.

Decent episode tonight but I feel a little underwhelmed by the whole series, some good stuff like the Silverstone race last week and the Tuk-Tuks but generally the series was quite meh for me.

I wish they could have kept Matt on, he really carried the show and would have probably been a good fit with Freddie and Paddy.

Got notification this morning that the cable company added BBC America back into my lineup.

Haven't seen a new Top Gear since Clarkson was canned.

So Netflix and Amazon don’t get Top Gear anymore but Motor Trend does?

Downloaded the app today but won’t use my free trial till they release the episodes.

Guys, did you know that just several days later at 17 June we'll get a new Season 27 episode actually airing, in just 3 months after the last episode of season 26 aired?

Nobody seen this coming. Anyway I'll won't be watching to be honest.

New series starts tomorrow night. Freddie Paddy and Chris have their first adventure together in Ethiopia in versions of their first cars, whilst Chris tests the Ferrari 488 Pista and the McLaren 600LT.

Sunday Night 8pm, BBC Two.

Top Gear has gone back to a format which made the original trio so likeable; the 3 presenters have chemistry and their comments bounce off each other really well. Only downside I can see is that the serious car reviews are going to be done by one presenter only, but if the comedic segments are as well executed as they were in today's film, I won't miss the car reviews too much.
