Dlc announcement is slightly dissapointing, WHERE IS THE AUSSIE LOVE.

all up thought this sounds great, will try when I get home.

I like how we get Tire wear and fuel wear in practice now.

Sorry but that was like that since version 1.09 or something, whichever update was 600MB. Now i notice that steering with a controller seems a little less twitchy when you set it to max sensitivity. The physics feel at little more natural on street tires not as prone to loss of grip so easily.

Sidenote, the in car view for standard cars is surprising useful, the dark shadow interior makes it quite easy to focus on your position. It's a much more focused feeling that when driving a premium because you are seeing way too much inside that car. I like the standard interior view, just wished they actually used the camera from that point of view in real time, because I looked out the back and my spoiler wasn't on my car, wtf?

To me shadows in 2.0 looks much better, very good. And smoke almost don't pixelate car borders (still present throught). This is great.

Adding, ABS OFF seems to be much more playable now.

this is an improvement that I was looking for... :)

Please explain! They are really better or you just thought they are?:sly:

Yeah I can't drive in the premium cockpit view because it kind of distracts me. Also the controller is way more responsive than before.

Thought it might be useful to list all the unannounced spec2 features in one place rather than shifting through the 200 page spec2 thread.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Visible damage can be turned on and off in arcade settings menu.

You can adjust the AI temperament from 0 to 10 in the same menu.

New tyre load indicator. Can be turned off in settings.

Only new photomode location is the Nascar pitstop.

Pressing triangle in photomode toggles your driver/avatar on and off. He appears next to the car and can be moved around.

Load times seem reduced.

Racing suits now sports your car's manufacturer logo.

Driver animations look a lot more natural.

Endurance race "suspend" option added as you enter the pits.

Replay controls just skip forward x amount of time, no true fast forward/rewind. Only works on new replays.

Weather can be set in practise (track settings) -
- Weather at race start (%)
- Weather Changeability (# 0-10)
- Surface Water at Race Start (%)

Option to update all garage thumbnails at once.

Ability to restrict cars used in online lounges plus specify Nascar or Super GT.

The speculated 'i' icon on the GT homescreen is labelled as 'News'.

3 set ups per car - including differing installed parts. Set the car up when on a "spec sheet". Change "spec sheet" and do new setup. Switch between them in a sub menu in setting screen. Neat summary of setup given.

Slipstream strength settings. Weak/Strong.

11x new Nascars and new GTR cost 500,000 each.

Online login bonus. As per the increased paint chips awarded for consecutive logins, now event/race rewards increase daily up to 200% for the 5th day.

Points from old seasonal events dropped to about 1/3 of what they were.

PD, I salute you.

I will no longer refer to you as DP. ;)

For the person who asked about the shadows, I can 100% confirm that. I noticed that as soon as I started the 1st race. The shadows the cars cast on the ground is now very smooth, though I think softer. But there are shadows in some places where they still look jaggie, like when a part of your car is casting a shadow on itself (anothe rpart of the car or something). You'll notice what I'm saying. But yes, the most noticable of shadows all look MUCH better.

I don't have to have that snap precision gear change before I release the clutch pedal on an upshift or downshift. It's still kind of like an off/on switch (you push the pedal in and it free revs), but there's more leeway on your shifts. đź‘Ť

I thought on my G25 that the clutch shift timing was more relaxed after the last update, particularly in race cars you could shift alot faster without missing gears.

I saw someone mention standing starts at TGTT but when I went to free run where you can create your own fastest time leaderboard I still started from a rolling start at Gambon.

Just received a "Grid-Mesh 34" racing suit as a prize for golding a time trial. Previously the maximum color number was 30, so they have added some number of new colors to the suits, and likely to the helmets as well.

In photo mode exposure is changing almost instantly, not with annoying delay like it was before.
In car list cursor no longer snaps to left when you scrolling fast through the list.

Those ugly shadows on my beloved F40 make me feel sick. Do anyone have a tip how to get better shadows in retail GT5? I hope there is some track or limit of opponents or any other combination that can at least make it less painful. :nervous:

Are you really SURE we will not see this* crap in Spec 2.0? If that's true, then... I'm finally buying a PS3! :sly:

Unfortunately shadows are the same as before... :/
Only on Tsukuba shadows are like in GT5P (but it was ike that from day one).
