Cars now wobble when they have suspension damage... or maybe I did not notice this before. The engine sounds are more "broken" sounding when the car is well... broken.

Explain about suspension damage please!
After 1.11 I've tried to damage my Mclaren F1 and broke the front-left wheel among with suspension - and it was noticeable visually and handling-wise.

Don't know if it's been mentioned: a small but annoying bug has been fixed, namely...cursor does not jump off track when quickly scrolling through garage, horns, paint chips etc.

If you damage your suspension by hitting the corners of your car into a wall the car will wobble because the suspension arms are no longer supporting the car and absorbing the bumps and undulations of the road.

Mt Aso. feels a bit more customizable now... it was pretty locked on corners format before and looks like its more "free" to create new tracks on it.

any more info on the manufacturer logo on suits? tried it with a couple of suits and can't see it. Tried it with in cockpit view in replay and photo mode avatar

The wobbling isn't new; there were always two types of wheel damage, but now the wobbling is oddly intermittent. Watch the tyre force display (thing) as the wobble switches on and off :odd:

The sputtering (ish) engine is cool, though.

I heard a rumour that if you play the audio on the new spec 2.0 intro movie backwards you can hear the devil's voice saying "Forza 4 Must Die" ! lol

Or it is just a voice inside the head .... :scared:

Any news on tyre wear between hard and soft compounds? Who wants to volunteer to test that, lol? :D

Menu response and loading is a lot quicker. GT caught me out earlier; I went to scratch my ass between menus but I no longer have the time :(

Didn't see this one in the list:

In time trails, when you pit, it doesn't just drive though, you can actually pit for fuel and tyres + there is a fully working pit crew

Just went for a trial run in Practice mode with the N24 GTR on Nurburgring GP/F, and I don't know if anyone has picked up on this, but I can report that:

  • In the menu screen where the camera pans around the track, there are new camera angles/shots (at least on Nurb anyway) looking at different parts of the track.
  • If you go even a tad wide across the kerb on some of the corners your lap is invalidated. Seems like the Penalty Boundary system has been improved.
  • Engine sounds for the N24 are very impressive, in fact quite superior to anything else in-game IMO. Dare I say there could be some sound improvements in the future if this is anything to go.

Overall I'm loving Spec II, it has gave GT5 a breath of life, and the naysayers can criticize it all they want, to me this is a very promising step to what we could be receiving in the near future.

This is too funny man. 👍

How are our cars' headlights? Do they light the road better?

Sorry, I didn't check that. I was at one of the special stage circuits where I could never see a black car in my rearview mirror. You can definitely see them now. I only checked with the new GT-R so other cars may be different. The lighting at special stage is never a problem. I'll need to check la Sarthe for our car's headlights.

Well now you can even back out of the vehicle tune and main car view screen by pressing "O" now. Wasn't able to do it there before, now it's just like everywhere else in GT5. Shadows are noticeably smoother and less strange looking, still looking for new things but right now about to get into FM4 and check that out. I still have yet to try out my G25 because I was too busy just going through cars and setting tunes, I am loving the much improved response with tires and road surface. If they keep tweaking with this game the next one will be incredible. Wish they would let you turn off headlights completely.

I'm not sure if anyone else has picked up on this, but when I was driving the Caterham, the insides of the tires were realistic! As in it wasn't a wall of rubber, but you could see the inside of the rim, and actually see through the tire! I'll check if it's changed for other cars, but I'm stoked if this is true :D

That's true for all open wheeled cars, but other cars tend to not draw the side you don't see, weird considering from the visible side you can see all the way to the brake pads and beyond. Strange thing to see when you spin a car or flip it, heck it's visible even in the Spec 2.0 intro, when the muscles cars go into a spin on SSR5, you see that flat tire wall on the inside(nasty to see).

Collecting Cr. from your shared online Bobo drivers also rewards with +1xx% boost (cr. & XP) from daily login bonus.

There is no raised cap after A-40, same as before.

Selecting "default" on some tune settings, example, transmission, gives different new default values than old original default values.
I suggest to default all cars, and re-enter your tunes.

I don't know where Tune sheet settings B and C come from, some arbitrary stuff in there.

my Tyre load indicator was off by default.

I have assigned my G25 button to flash and toggle headlights, both of which I was never able to do before.

I saw a Spoon Honda Civic @ 73,000 Cr in my UCD this morning, so I nabbed it.

I haven't played the game yet, I have to go to my inlaws tonight...

I took Friday off :)

How are our cars' headlights? Do they light the road better?

Tested the 787 at La Sarthe and at the Nurburgring and the 03 garaiya (standard car) at the Nurburgring. I never had huge issues with the lights before but the 787s highbeams were good, lowbeams were awful. The garaiya's lights weren't as good but not nearly as bad as the 787s low beams. When the cars were packed together at the start, they almost looked glow in the dark but that toned down when they were spread out on the track. You could see the 787s headlights way behind you on the last straight but the Garaiyas had to be pretty close before you could see their lights.
