Tested the 787 at La Sarthe and at the Nurburgring and the 03 garaiya (standard car) at the Nurburgring. I never had huge issues with the lights before but the 787s highbeams were good, lowbeams were awful. The garaiya's lights weren't as good but not nearly as bad as the 787s low beams. When the cars were packed together at the start, they almost looked glow in the dark but that toned down when they were spread out on the track. You could see the 787s headlights way behind you on the last straight but the Garaiyas had to be pretty close before you could see their lights.

👍

So it's still sorta the same as before? Well I can live with that, I taught myself to drive super fast in the night over the months.

Don't know if posted allready, i found a nice new "change":

- the Replay cameras have new angles added on the tracks, also the distance to the car was changed (zoomed out)

The cars appear now smaller cause you can see more of the track. AWESOME! I like that very much :dopey:

All Nordschleife layouts have new angles and the "zoomed out" camera also the car preview demos were zoomed out.

If you did not notice any difference yet, load a old replay from NS for example and compare it to the new one.

Cams look more like a TV broadcast imo 👍

Anyone checked the TGTT?

One unannounced benefit of Spec 2 is my save game file dropped a full megabyte. It was 4.3 mb before the update and 3.3 mb after even though I added 12 new cars. As much as this game auto saves, the smaller the file the better.

From videos I've seen - Suzuka has new camera angles in replays.
That's good thing! 👍

Navigating through maps and lobbies online is so much faster now.
The grip is much better now, almost impossible to spinn out but it feels really good, total controll.

I don't know if this is an "un-announced" feature, but I just noticed this:

I took my ITR (DC2) out for a spin on the Eiger (Weather, No Rain, I had the Weather setting's at their lowest percentage) & watched the replay. I noticed as I was going down that downhill bit (after the start/finish line) that the plant's (flowers/dandelions?) get pushed away as I past them.

Has this always been in the game, I knew the plant's could move by themselves, but never knew when you drove past them that they blew to the side.

Anyone wanna try it? and/or let me know if it's new?

That's been around for quite a while. I remember being shocked by it several months ago, thought I was seeing things at first.

Kart drivers now really lean into turns and the D flashes when it thinks you should brake. Terrible addition, that one. May be the same for all automatics, Karts are the only autos I drive? I know the D did not flash on previous Karts.

I did GV300 in a stock RX-7 '02, starting on SH, switching to SM after 20 laps and to SS after 40 laps.
Initially I thought my SM tires were wearing faster than my SH, but it was so little that I wasn't sure. Once I finished the race with SS, it was quite obvious they hadn't worn any faster than neither SH or SM though.
After reviewing the replay, I had about 35% thread left when I swapped tires after 20 laps for each set, so I doubt they've changed anything there.

Or, if they've changed anything, it doesn't have the desired effect. I remember running more laps on SS than SH simply due to not shredding SS tires because of the extra grip back in "Spec I", so even if they have added a slight difference in wear, it's negated by grip.

Not sure if anyone has posted it yet but shuffle mode has been updated, seems you can set a PP basis for the cars used in each race and the tyres are now sports hard

Maybe not that important to most but as a shuffle race addict its brilliant to me :D

Maybe this is something that slipped through the Spec 2.0 net... wouldn't ii be nice if all tracks had weather/time of day? Maybe these weren't supposed to be in Spec 2.0 but are being worked on.

Bare in mind, this is COMPLETELY SPECULATIVE. DO NOT TAKE SERIOUSLY OR AS FACT!

Have the Remote races been updated or are they the same races .... i hadnt looked at them in a while lol

Can you tell more about that? In menus (options, GT Auto etc)? Race loading times are improved? How it feels?

Insanely fast... and I'm running off of the disc. I've noticed that the race start can get delayed, because the cars aren't loaded along with the track. They're loaded separately. It makes a large difference.

They have changed several of the "cinematic" camera views when loading/looking at an online lobby. For instance, I loaded up an online lobby hosting Top Gear test Track and saw a camera angle from above the track that I have never seen before. I also noticed different camera angles while loading Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Has anyone else noticed any new camera angles when loading a track online?

Arcade mode single race on Autumn Ring.
- Before Update: start from the back of the grid (P16)
- After Update: start from the middle (P8), and the AIs are noticeably faster than before

Anyone checked the TGTT?
If you see the Spec 2.0 opening movie, the camera angle from TGTT is exacly the same as the show (from above the tires)

Looks like I'm the only one To notice it but the "game menu" in the option where you could learn how To use GT5 have also been updated.
This is where I learn how To POP up Bob in photo travel

I think that part of the G27 support is that the travel needed on the clutch pedal to activate the clutch in game has been decreased. I've noticed it with my Clubsport pedals, and I can actually be competitive while using the clutch now. The whole feel of driving is better too which also helps, but the bottom line is I can really drive with the clutch now, and it's awesome.
