Welcome to the United Motorsports Club

Our first and main goal is to provide our members with a high variety of clean, competitive racing experience as possible over every genre of Motorsports while maintaining a level competitive skill base. A competitive, existing field of drivers of similar skills will be provided that will allow our members to develop their driving and race craft skills over a number of different platforms. Our motto here is “IF YOUR TIRES ARE NOT SIGNING THEN YOU’RE NOT DRIVING!!!” If you’re interested and wish to find out more about us please continue reading.

Uniqueness of UMC

United Motorsports Club offers a mass array of motorsports racing from our members, Historical, Muscle, GT, Touring Car, Rally, Drifting, along with number of different races format, sprint races, timed endurance, point to point just to name a few. We also have club series’ “United Sports Car Championship” a multi-class series that will challenge some of the seasoned drivers, “United Sports Car Challenge” drivers honing their racing skills in race prepped street cars, “International Race of Champions” leading driver(s) from our member’s series will be invited to take part in a diverse racing format to crown the Champion of Champions.

Another unique aspect of the club is the United Motorsports Driver Development Program that members can participate in. The UMC Driver Development Program is a comprehensive detailed program designed to help upcoming drivers learn proper racing skills, and get up to speed as quickly as possible by cutting the learning curve in half. These programs cover car control, learning the proper driving, racing with others and to understand the way of basic suspicion tuning. In the future UMC-DDP will over cross training programs in different race formats to assist drivers in learning new skills in that area of racing. For example, a seasoned NASCAR driver decides to try the art of Rally racing, they read over the Planet tuning forms to find a reasonable setup, they go out to try they hand at Rally racing and unfortunately they are discourage with result they've achieved. The cross training program will link this NASCAR driver with a Rally driver assist in the learning process and to understand the art of Rally in much clearly scope to better understand the Technics need for Rally racing. The UMC-DDP will continue to evolve to assist drivers.

The United Motorsports Club Board thanks you for paying us a visit to learn more about us. We’re also sending out early warm welcome to new members. WELCOME TO THE UNITED MOTORSPORTS CLUB!!!!

Remember we're here to have fun while being professional

If you like to join please PM for the moment. Title header of PM as follow "UMC" The entry form is still be formatted.

Divisional Promotion and Relegation for Driver and Teams

The Untied Motorsports Club divisions are as fallows. Driver divisions Beginner (D5); Casual (D4); Gentlemen (D3); Pro (D2); Veteran (D1), Team divisions Bronze (D5); Silver (D4); Gold (D3); Platinum (D2); Diamond (D1), drivers and teams that wish to participate in any of the Club series will be required to run the Goodwood qualifier. This qualification process will separate teams and driver’s in the appropriate division accordingly to that driver(s) or team(s) time. To ensure that our races are as competitive as possible each division race in their own lounge so that only drivers and teams of similar skill level are allowed to race with each other. Regardless of which division you're in, you will almost always be fighting to gain or defend a position on the track. A single driver classification is simple and forward though the team qualification is different.

Teams are allowed 4 drivers; 2 car teams in each divisional Championship, each driver will be preforming a Time Trail in a pre-demined car along with setup at a track of the stewards choosing. Each driver will have 7 laps to put in their best lap; driver’s times will be calculated and teams will be placed accordingly. The divisions have a performance program base for all team(s) and driver(s). The fastest; high placement driver(s); team(s) in each division are promoted to a higher division the following championship season, while the slowest driver(s); team(s) in each division are relegated to a lower division. Driver(s) and Team(s) that are being moved to a lower division have the option to run a series of Time Trails to keep their divisional placement along with being put on a performance base probation. These Time Trails will have a combined time, if the driver(s) or teams(s) meet the required time the driver(s) or teams(s) will be allowed to remain in the current division.

The performance base probation period will span for the first half of each race season, at mid-season the driver(s) or team(s) performance will be reviewed to determine if the driver(s) or team(s) will be able to remain in their current division. If the review determines that the driver(s) or team(s) haven’t meet the performance base probation the driver(s) and team(s) will be delegated to a lower division at the end of the season.

Team Divisions

Once the team or teams are placed in the proper division the team(s) will be scored throughout the season teams will be given points in the following area’s Driver’s fastest lap of the race; Drivers starting and finishing position; Team and Driver points at the end of the race season. The team pointing system is being finalized.

NEWS
*Please note that the first few post will change from time to time, to accommodate the forth coming changes.*

I’m happy to stay the United Motorsports Club in now official as of last night. I don’t remember the time though, but we’re underway. I wish I could say things will be slowing down though there not, things are just getting fired. With Thanksgivings for state side coming upon us, along with days of anticipation of the release of GT6 we’re revving up for what you can say is an OPEN HOUSE “Hope I didn’t sound to geeky there” to bring an new era of the Gran Turismo, along with letting everyone know who we are and what we’re about. As we all know shortly after the mass update to GT6 some will be looking over everything with a fine pick, some will be flooding the servers to get their race or testing going to see how much the new physics have changed since the GT Academy demo. Some will be exploring 7pot car rig to better understand how it works within GT6 to that edge early game. In all we’ll be very busy for few hours to say; until the fire to press the throttle starts to roar alive.

With this in mind we’ll be holding testing a sprint races all through the day to test, tune, race to build up credits to fill out stables with those wonderful cars we all so adore. Our first test and sprint will be at the iconic Daytona Road Course during the night with rain, and then it’s off to the MOUNTIAN, Mount Panorama to test our nerves. From there we’ll be visiting Ascari to see what it’s like to drive every famous corner in the world on one track, then to the home of F1 SILVERSTONE, while traveling to the infamous proving ground for every British Touring Car race driver BrandsHatch to see if the old girl still live up to her name. A little hope over to Spa at night to enjoy the hills, then off for a bash at Twin Ring Motegi to run in the lights while playing in the rain, then we’ll make way to Willow Springs. While working our way to explore Matterhorn and Gran Turismo Arena, we’ll be finishing our trip by paying our old beloved track Apricot Hill Raceway for a romp in the leaves.

We look forward to having you join us on our little travel of these tracks, we’ll see you on the track.

All drivers are expected to follow the UMC Driver and Team OLR, and pursue good race craft at all times. We’ll be sharing videos and links on good “Racecraft” along with one pacific video first which express Motorsports Golden Rule “It is the responsibility of the overtaking driver, meaning the car that is attempting to execute the pass, to make sure that the pass is made cleanly and incident free.” If you’re a driver that can’t adhere to this ruling of Motorsports then this Club isn't for you. Please read over the UMC track and penalty ruling.

A tentative car list for the GTLM and GTD class has been posted on the United Sportscar Championship thread. And tentative car list will be released along with the cars specs. With more drivers joining the Club and driver list will be up soon.

The track and collision ruling will be streamlined into one form, the new rulings will be available soon.

After confirmation that the power limiter will be returning in GT6, all cars that will be listed for the United Sportscar Challenge will follow the same performance, tuning algorithm that was developed for the World GT Challenge. If GT6 pp system follows the similar algorithm of GT5 all the cars be in within .001 of each other.

Gran Turismo 6 is just around the corner, everyone’s anticipation has been fueled even more with the information that has been shared within the last few days, information will continue to poor but it’s not GT6 1.01 which we’ll have shortly after the day one update which should bring some changes. I’m looking forward along with the anticipation of the upcoming testing, racing that we’ll endure over the next eight to ten weeks before the series start to ensure all the cars will be even. The most complex testing will be focused around the United Sportscar Challenge which is sought to be the most competitive series next to the CUP series. Testing will start as soon the day one update done and everything is confirmed OK. I’ll be sending out friend request from the club lobbies shortly after post of this letter. Later during the week I’ll be posting the test format for each lobby to help speed along with testing so there will be no confusion.

From here on any news related to any one the series or the driver program will be posted here. Driver and series chatter must be kept in those threads to keep the clutter to a minimum. We’re really looking forward to what’s to come along with the level of competition that it will bring. The future of the United Motorsports Club is looking very bright.

The car list classes for the GTLM and GTD have been removed but the list is still intact. Thanks to the early information changes will be list is under way to place the cars in the correct class.

Tracks that will be used for Divisional placement in the future are as follows. Willow Spring (variation will be given at a later date); Goodwood Hill climb and Rome, Goodwood or Willow Spring will have wet conditions. Car that will be used in the divisional placement will be given at a later date.

The frenzy of GT6 has started and drivers are on their way to top license so they’ll be able to compete on-line later today with the rest of the world. It has been noted that it should take a little over an hour to go through all the events and test which means the virtual raceways will start flooding the severs within the next few hours. Going into the afternoon, I’ll open our first UMC lobby willing the servers are stable with the masses. I’ll post the lobby server number in the OP when everything is ready, until then happy driving in the morning.

I've open up our first lobby to kick everything off, I've posted the lobby number in post #5. I'm still working on advancing the other lobbies so everything can be set up ready to go. The current lobby is open, any changes to the lobby will be posted in #5.

Testing of the cars for GTLM and GTD has been moving along well. I have most of the cars need to finish testing of these classes. I'm hoping to have the cars set within class, from testing and looking over the numbers some cars may be moved up or down a class. The GX class testing will start here shortly once a few more cars have been purchased. Testing for the Sportscar Challenge may take a little longer.

I would love to become a part of this when I get my copy of GT6. I love race car racing and multi-class racing, so this should go well.
