Unlimited number of engine swaps

Did Sony/PD ever acknowledge there is a glitch? I don't think so... we, the users, are the only ones calling it a glitch. Until Sony/PD officially say so, this is not a glitch, it's a feature...
The thing that burns me most about PD/GT7 is that it's so counter-weighted towards them that even if they left this "glitch" in place and the Tomahawk Tokyo as well, it still wouldn't save the game (but it'd be a step in the right direction).

I was at 75 Mill with all cars collected last night.

Woke up to find I had 15 mill and q load of old mercs from the lcd... :D
My script also very much likes the AMG lol.
I can absolutely verify that the 2 modifications I made to the script keep this from happening. 24 hours and counting and not a single trip to Legends (or stop of any kind).

The best thing PD could do would be to fix the glitch but make engine swaps and other "special" parts available for purchase in the tuning shop.

This glitch, intentional or not, is a win-win for PD. Players are returning to the game, and access to engine swaps and a good chunk of money over a few days of using 4/6 star tickets quells the negativity about the economy and engines being hard to get.

As @Techlet said, they should allow engines and special parts to be purchased in the tuning shop - or maybe, for parts, behind some challenges for each car, if they want these parts to be something you earn.

In the early pages of this thread there is a script with instructions.

It works with remote play from your PC to your PS4/5

I stumbled on to a document with instructions but it doesn't say where to input them and I'm not even sure if it's the right document because later I saw something that said it was removed.

It's using a PC to connect to the PS4 remotely, so it's not a PC version of GT7, it's the PlaySation Remote Play app.Download that, download AutoHotkey and then create a new AFK file with the script pasted into it and away you go. It's faster to do it manually, but less tiring to use the script, and you can leave it running whilst doing other things of course.
I have the PS remote app on my smartphone which is a Galaxy Note 20 ultra. I basically use my phone for everything. I didn't see a place in the app to input any kind of instructions.

"... Gran Turismo 7 on the PC"
chuckles
Yes, I'm that oblivious. I didn't think it was made for PC but when the real technical guy started talking about scripts and hot keys, I thought maybe they did.

Do you have a mac
No, I have my Galaxy Note 20 smartphone. My daughter has a laptop but she's on it a lot

Then you probably need something like this.

Basically you just need to find a way to automate the clicks. Auto Hot Key (AHK) is a program for Windows/Mac that emulates keystrokes, so you just need to find something similar for your phone.

That said, it's probably easier to borrow someones pc for a week or two.

As mention already by others in this thread if PD wanted they could of hot fixed the free tickets within 24 hours.
Looking back over the time this engine roulette has been a available and still not patched I'm wondering why they haven't.

I haven't been keeping count but I have been seeing quite a few of the cars that accept engine swaps in the used car dealership over the last week or so.
I belive there have been nearly a dozen show up. There are still 5 or 6 in available today. Add the half dozen available in the new car dealership and that comes to what, about two thirds of the cars that you can do engine swaps with? Seems like alot in such a short time span.
On top of that this weeks A race is tuning allowed and allows entry with engine swaped cars.
I'm now thinking, Could it be that this so called glitch is really an Easter egg?

It wouldn’t surprise me one bit if this is an Easter egg, given that it’s PD. They have a history of doing weird, quirky and off-the-wall stuff from time to time with no explanation or official acknowledgment of it, leaving people to find it and guess and speculate whether it was intentional or not. I’m guessing this one will be temporary, and we may never know if it was intentional or not.

I'm completely against putting certain parts in the tuning shop by default. People ask for this because they're no longer used to playing racing games with consequence. They want to be spoon-fed, although there's also the Dark Souls edgelords who think you need to live for the game. These people are the first ones to complain they're bored once they win everything they can in a week of playing the game. I had a lot of fun doing High Heat Level 5 races in NFS Heat to unlock the Ultimate+ parts in the garage.

There's been a multitude of games with hidden parts. The problem in GT7 has always been that you can't reliably farm the parts, since you only earn one ticket every day and this ticket may not even be a high tier one. But I'd be perfectly fine with a mechanic that allowed you to win these parts (or 6-Star engine/parts tickets) as a prize for winning certain World Circuit events as well as championships. Also worth mentioning that very few of these parts give you an actual edge over other players due to the PP system, which means you have to nerf the car anyway to meet regulations.

The engines could be in the shop, I guess. When it comes to the engine swaps it goes much deeper than their limited availability. The current lineup sucks ass. It's an underwhelming feature. There are very common swaps that can't be done in GT7 despite the engines existing in the game. Instead we have Forza Horizon meme-style swaps like 1,200 bhp S13 Silvias which are completely useless IMO. I have no real interest in swaps that break the cars. Let me do mundane **** like swap an RB26 into a Silvia or an S54B32 into an E30 M3. Is this too much to ask?

When doing the glitch I ended up with millions of useless engines because it's a very limited feature.

I agree about High Heat 3 and 5 parts in NFS Heat and am ALL for a similar type of reward systems for special parts and engines in GT7. Maybe if we got extra tickets for every 50 or 100 miles raced every day or you got a ticket that rewarded a random special part or engine for completing one of the longer 3 or 5 race championship events. Pretty much anything increasing the chances of getting them based on how much you play but still making it something you have to play to earn. 1 ticket a day with the current odds of winning aren’t doing it for anyone as you could spend literal years waiting to get a part you can use and even then you still might not get it, and that’s just for one part for one car.
I know a lot of people complained about not having enough credits early on but 5,000 and 10,000 credits as potential prizes on roulette tickets are a joke to anyone who has more than 10-15 hours in the game.

I love doing the Heat 5 races in NFS Heat. They were also intense as hell. PD should have implement that kind of system only with 5 chilli races in seasonal events IMO.

I think it's pretty unlikely that it was intentional. If they wanted to make engines temporarily easily available, there are better ways of doing it that would generate more good-will for them. If you're going to do something nice for the players, it's pretty dumb to disguise it as a bug.

I did stop playing turismo before this ticket clitcht. Now i enjoyded the game more than ever. So maybe they should make better games and not this kind crap. And if they take hard line i will sell my ps5 and take the money in 30.seconds.
Same here, I hadn't played the game for a while, and this glitch got me back into it a little.

Wise words here, and let med add: Even if we`re able to swap those wery few engines into wery few cars it`s for no help as long as we`re not able to finetune tirewidth, specially on RWD-cars. No, in this silly game we`ll have to run stock skinny tires even after quadrupling the engine-output.

The tuning-abilities in this game is another joke. GT7-tuning looks like something from PS2 compared to FM7. The so-called race "fully adjustable suspension" is nothing more than a slightly adjustable sports suspension, and the adjustable ranges are far too narrow to make good setups.

Also ridiculous as they keep coming back here and bitching about the glitch when they could just play the game the way they wanted and stay away from this thread.

Yeah , and I find it weird that they constantly bitching on people sticking the engine into a tundra and ramming people , but they conveniently forgot that , there is a confirmed free engine from order 3 for everyone. So, maybe, they hated that PD gave a free engine as part of cafe menu completion ??

Finally free. I wasn't able to stop myself doing this glitch 🤣

Oh well. They really want to get rid of this 🤣 updated to 5th July.

Same here. I think I’ll have a little time tomorrow after work to try it out, if I have the time zones right, before they go into maintenance.

Updates are normally planned with weeks in advance, and it not easy to change that schedule.

If it were a game stopper, then they would, but not for this exploit.

Not really, no.

You seem to be forgetting that one one of the three new menu books offered a 6-star ticket that only contained engine swaps. As such its perfectly understandable that cars and evens to use with that exist, they likely exist simple because PD had planned on most players getting that ticket once.

To address the hotfix point, PSN is not Steam, and while they most likely could have put a patch together within a day or two, it still needs to go through Sony's internal testing, first party studios don't get a free pass on that.

Once it's patched, maybe mass tweeting at Kaz with a broadly similar message along the lines of "for two weeks we finally enjoyed the fruits of your labour, and now the glitch is removed, my enjoyment is going to fall down markedly" might illicit some more feeling of unrest directly at him. Before this glitch, I was almost sick of this game.
