Unlocking the Sauber in the NA Version

Has anyone figured out how to unlock the Sauber C9 in the NA version? I have done every Endurance race and to much dismay, no Sauber C9. The Prize List says it is in the 300km Grand Valley Endurance. I have done it Aspec, Bspec, and winning by as much as 10 laps, and nothing. Has anyone discovered anything about the whereabouts of the missing Sauber C9?

The prize car list is not valid for the NA version of GT4 because it was made for the Asian versions of the game. Amar212 plays the PAL version of GT4 right now (which seems to be pretty much equal to the NA version), and he hasn't found a way to unlock the C9 yet if I'm not mistaken. He says the car definitely is in the game and assumes that you might get it for the completion of 75% or something, just like F310B said.

Cheers,

Is the car not driven in the licsece test of the Nurburgring like it is in the Asian version (just to ensure the car is in the NA version of the game, though theres probably no doubt that it's not there. )

The C9 is not in the license test anymore but the car is in the game, you can see it. What more proof do you need to ensure it's in when you can watch it in races or in the showroom.

I've got BAD news for you guys! There's NO prize car for 75%! MistaX (he's around. he just doesnt post here) told me this.. He just surpassed 75% a few moments ago. So if the sauber is given for any percentage, it would most likely be 100%. :(

That would be a little upsetting to say the least. Maybe as has been said you get the C9 for the Formula GT Championship with the Black F1 car coming for 100%. At least that way you could get it a bit earlier in the game.

Use a code breaker ( all cars available at the dealer for sale $ 1.00 ) Or game shark for the full garage have all cars code. See problem solved .

What's with the obsession for the C9? I routinely blow that car away using the Toyota C88 or Mazda 787 race cars all the time.

I forgot which race did I won the car nor have I ever check the diary, but I had atleast 70% completed on GT4.
This car blown me away like never, and I would rate it the best car in the game.
Don't get fooled by it's age, it has the power and handling like a dream and even for today. Power incline is smooth, handles just about the best out of all the cars (stock).
C9-C11 are the cars Sauber race team used before they turn to Formula One racing by the FIA. The current model Sauber race car use for the Formula One is C24 and the Engine n Transmission they use are from FERRARI.

I blew away a ZO6 in a Honda Civic - what's your point?

Historically the C9 is an amazing car.

This bit of info might also help answer your question:

"Sauber's C9 propelled Mercedes back into motor racing in 1988 after an absence of 33 years and Sauber was named Mercedes' official works team. The C9's double victory in Le Mans, a total of eight victories in the Sports Car World Championship and first place in both the Constructors' and the Drivers' Sports Car World Championship made 1989 the most successful season in Sauber's history."

You have the NA version? If so, you need to check your diary!

If you don't understand the point of the question then don't answer. Your childish sarcasm only shows your immaturity level. It was a legitimate question and one which you don't have a legitimate answer apparently. History of the car means nothing since I'm not driving one in real life, what is the obsession of getting one in the game if its no better than many of the other cars? Sure you could say, "just to own it", and while that's fine, I don't see everyone obsessed with some of the other cars "just to own it".

hey blackout.. your reply is uncalled for... the guy gave a perfectly good answer and you flame him for it...

I certainly don't consider the opening of his reply to be "perfectly good", sounded like a big heap of sarcasm to me. I asked a simple question and he gave me an answer that had nothing to do with my question. I didn't ask for the history of the C9, I asked why everyone is so obsessed with trying to get it.

His point was still valid, in GT3 you could beat the F1 cars in an R390GT1, does that make the R390 a better car, no because the AI is utter crap. The C9 is probably the best non-F1 car in GT4, if you can beat the AI in one with an 88CV you'll beat it even more with the C9.

His answer was completely unnacceptable and didn't even answer the question, your reply did answer the question. Thank you, I thought it was fairly simple question, didn't really need to know the history of a car, nor did I care. This is a game, not real life.

im in the process of finishing race 14 of the formula gt championship i hear you get the sauber at the end of that, ill let you guys know

btw, dont try an be cool and run around the nurburgring on one bar of gas, the game will pimp slap you and make you run around the rest of the track at 50mph.

which is quite annoying

GT40racer
yea you get the sauber when you win the formula gt
strange to me the only place you can get an F1 is the 24 hour enduro it will take 12,24 races to get each color of the model if it gives you a different color every time.

Uh... duh... he did answer perfectly well. The reason people (me included) wish to drive the C9 is because it is a car steeped in history. It also happens to be quite fast, but that is secondary.

Just because you are ignorant of the background/history of the car doesn't make his answer a bad one. It just makes you ignorant.

Guys .. can we please get this thread back on topic? This is no place for a flame war or trying to argue your way out of one. Show some maturity here.

edit:
So the C9 is from the Formula GT Championship .. awesome. And it sucks that there isn't a car for 75% completion. :grumpy:

here goes
940hp stock
987 with oil change
1197 with stage 4 turbo

Is that HP figure the one that you see on the graphs when you are adjusting the settings? as that tends to be higher. Also what is the weight (I would look myself but I'm in the middle of the F1 Champ.) I'm trying to figure out which of the group C cars has the Highest P/W. So far my best is the 88C-V. Down to 1211 HP after a bunch of endurance races and an oil change. I belive it weighs 850KG
