That was Kovalainen, not KobayashiI can't speak for his passes though, as I never paid any attention to him, though, the one thing I remember about him in F1 is the crash he had with Webber at Valencia.

Was it? I always heard people talk about how it was Kobayashi? Very similar names so I can see how one can be confused or mistake them for either one. That was Kovalainen, not Kobayashi
Even so, I don't see how Kovalainen can be blamed for that accident. Webber had just pitted, so was on new tyres, he had a massive car advantage and was quite a way behind Heikki. Kovalainen had every right to defend as he did, and braked as late as his car could, but Webber forgot that he was racing a Lotus and not a McLaren, which is why he hit him. It's the same reason neither Alonso nor Gutierrez were penalised following the Melbourne accident. Was it? I always heard people talk about how it was Kobayashi? EDIT- Yeah it was Kovalainen. My mistake.
Never said it was his fault or anyone's, but valid points raised there. 👍Even so, I don't see how Kovalainen can be blamed for that accident. Jacques Villeneuve was nowhere near as untalented as people made him out to be.
A git? Absolutely.
A terrible driver? Nope.
Sebring needs to be repaved and should have been repaved years ago *grabs popcorn*
*to help take the old concrete apart so it can be repaved**Grabs pitchfork*

Most of these have been very arguable. You win hands down.Sebring needs to be repaved and should have been repaved years ago *grabs popcorn*
You can still replace the tarmac and concrete with new tarmac and concrete, it's just bumpy horrible and unaesthetic as it is.How about we flatten Eau Rouge - Raidillon, while we're at it?
🤬 blasphemy.

Yep. Totally unpopular alright.Fuji is a hundred times better after the redesign by Tilke.

Sebring is such an American focused track, it perfectly resembles the crumbling infustructure America has in track form.Sebring needs to be repaved and should have been repaved years ago *grabs popcorn*
Imagine a nice, smooth turn 17 with a little banking so guys can go 2 wide and not end up in the wall for no other reason than that the tires were not on the ground enough to turn the car. Boy that sounds amazingMost of these have been very arguable. You win hands down.
Probably been said already, But new Hockenheim is way better than old Hockenheim.
I think the popular race tracks in England, 'Brands Hatch, Silverstone, Donnington' are only popular due to historical value, if people removed the sentiment of historical reference they would find them to be outdated, boring and recommend that they all be bulldozed for development estates,
I there is a place for power circuits on any racing calendar. But I think it only works when there is variety in the circuit types. You can't have a calendar made up entirely of power circuits, just as you can't have a calendar made up of technical circuits.Probably been said already, But new Hockenheim is way better than old Hockenheim. Power circuits like old Hockenheim and Monza are usually quite boring. Monza could probably use a layout change as well.
Enna Pergusa is better than Monza

Silverstone I don't care about but Donington, Oulton, Brands and Knockhill are the four best tracks in the UK and rightly so.
Add Thruxton too if you like power circuits with an added challenge.
Compared to those other five, Silverstone gets a hugely disproportinate level of protection and support.
This is a thread for unpopular opinions! Not sensible ones that I agree with!Silverstone I don't care about but Donington, Oulton, Brands and Knockhill are the four best tracks in the UK and rightly so.

They may be the best tracks in the U.K. But they're all terrible...
Monza is really overrated.
