A small addition of custom wings makes many happy like a little child in a candy store. I just don't understand it. It more feels that it's added to calm down many players and it seems to work...kind of...

I find it a very cheap trick that is being pulled off by PD here. Well another day in the world of GT6....once again they throw sand in our eyes to manouvre away from GT real problems.

What a circus!
I see it as them trying to aid what has been a huge complaint for years, customization.

Would I rather have a livery editor? Yes. But does this add life to the customization side of the game? Definitely.

Why people look at a step forward as a negative thing, I don't know.

I suspect it's also a lot of fans are younger and like ricer wings. Us older guy just don't get it and never will, lol. It's our generation though as we believed in go before show and today's stuff is all show. But the younger guys LIKE to put wings on everything. :) Heck, I live in a town full of rednecks where even though Fast and the Furious is so 90's, they still think it's current and put wings on crappy Sunfires and Cavaliers here with fart pipes (even four doors! ) and think it looks and sounds good so maybe there are still people who are fans of the look. It could be worse y'know. They could have added a "Pro-Street look" option. EEEK!

So I tried out my newly made Aventador with a custom Wing at Monza and it could just be me, but I swear the wind noise seems really different then before.

The sound has changed, I noticed it last night myself.

I agree. The wing options do make some cars look a little better. But it's not some amazing new feature. It's just being able to select and change size of the options that were already there basically. Probably something that's always been there for the developers. Just opening it up for the public to use now.

The rest of the update....pretty much a yawn. Data Logger could be useful if I ever felt motivated to really push for lap times in this game. Since there's still nothing to motivate me in that direction it's pretty well useless. And I honestly think the GPS Visualizer is something Kaz put in for all his friends and Sony execs to play with. Useless for 99.999999% of the rest of the players.

Edit - And oh yea, I never really got the whole "vacuum cleaner" sound thing until today. That FT-1 sounds just like the Dyson in my closet.

It is, I tested this in the FT-1 seasonal.
Nice, some of the none important graphics have been lowered. I wounder what the frame rate will be now.

I'm not sure if data logger is new to GT or if it was in GT5. But it looks like a great feature. It would be even better if we could get more data - suspension telemetry, tire temperatures, etc ...

It was in GT 4 and GT 5.

whoa! Vagabond made a thread that'll most likely get locked? What is this?

I personally think this update was pretty small, but at least we got something.

That is what I was looking for last night, but I just see a billion options for ride height instead : /

This is a decent update as it seemed to put in some things that make sense but still forgetting others. Tire track width should have been included as well also real time PP information changes need to be on screen in every mode of the auto shop. I want to see what the old PP and new PP will be whilst perusing the body mods. I haven't played at length but I am upset that PD did not include old school spoiler for the older cars(Nascar style wing). All in all we need a wind tunnel, especially if those wings are functional which I believe they are. PD also needs to change those really low aero values as they are woefully too low. Would like to see much more work in that department as I am pretty sure that wingless street cars get horrifically worse at high speeds. Anyone see any changes in the NASCAR bump drafting and do cars become loose if you tail them closely in turns?

I'm wondering if the GPS subsystem is part of the Course creator and how detailed will the topography be when they actually use it, will it just be the elevations or more and possibly if they allow you to select the level of detail to better create a more visually pleasing course(layout wise). I know it must have limits so I don't expect to see buildings unless PD has somehow taken all the trademarked businesses and removed them from their world map system and will add in sponsored placement for those paid for already. I can't wait for the next addition, although I think that data analyzer should have been placed in the same place as the one in GT3 at the pre-race menu or in the replay load section. No access to the game right now, but I will try out things to see what good they are.

Thanks for making a proper thread Chris. đź‘Ť

I have to say, I think this update is pretty good. I did miss the data logger a bit and the new wing customizations are pretty cool.

Hey,
Anyone ever checked, it was only me or what happened,
but, it is now possible to walk the entire trail without cars lose traction?

ie we walk in the fields of leaks, and other traces on the same track without speed control?

If this post is not correct in this trhead, or question has already been made, please disregard this.

EDIT:

Question answered in OP

Thanks, iain đź‘Ť

This is why:

Other improvements and adjustments
- The Traction Control System (TCS) which is activated when driving off-track is now used only in sand/gravel pits.

I'll bloody well lock you in a minute.

Wow, I'm tremendously disappointed. Don't get me wrong, I love GT6 and I have some really nice league racing, but it's just mindblowing how many things we had, as organizators, to change just because there is a stupid and archi ireal bug that spoils most of the fun on making some different strategies with the tyres.

Yes, the tyre bug is still there, and I don't even understand how is this possible. It was good in GT5, GT4, etc., so it's not a fact of not knowing how to do certain kind of things. They make it wrong and they keep focused on stupid things rather that on solving the huge bug list that they have in GT6.

Furthermore we haven't seen any DLC since whoah... And they even bothered to promise that we will receive at least a new car or track every month. Just unbelievable.

From deception to deception, I don't see a turning back point. They could have said since the beggining that they would focus on PS4 generation or whatever they are doing. People who loved this game would have bought it anyway and now they wouldn't feel treated like stupids as I do, at least.

Quite sad that after so many years of developing GT5 they are taking this huge amount of time to re-develop GT6 when it could have just been a GT5 expansion with a lot more content that GT6 has.

Let's hope they at least respect a promised based on Ayrton Senna for 1st May...

Even if it were an actual sim, it'd be more useful, but even then, questionable.

Hope PD reads this at least:
Need GT7 or some revolutionary GT6 content that will make the game interresting, please no more boring updates. If you do update GT6 then do it so its worth playing and starting up ps3 again. If not then drop it, announce you wanted more but couldnt handle it and move on. Blame it all on the hardware :)
