24 hour endurance races show a special level of dedication to the race in order to complete the event before you can do anything else.

Add game saves and you utterly destroy the entire point of having a 24 hour race.

It's not simply a case of "If you dont like it dont use it". Add a save feature and you destroy how special an achievment finishing a 24 hour race is. That effects every player even if they dont use the save feature themselves.



How does adding a save feature stop you from having to run the race by yourself? If you want to have the "real" endurance race experience invite a few friends over for a endurance race party. Saving does absolutely nothing to address that particular issue.

How about a feature that only let you save once or twice during the race?

It wouldn't stop the ones who love a save game cheat, but it would at least stop game save inflation where you save every lap for instance.

Props to PD for all these improvements. They have upped the experience points to where you can actually make some progress grinding the Indy events (Like The Wind, American, or Dream Car) for cash. It devalues the experience points offered in the one-time Seasonal Events, but that's fine. I'm just glad I won't have to resort to Endurance races only if I want to hit 40 now

I can also stop using a spreadsheet/mygranturismo to keep track of my cars. I don't really trade, so I all I care about is whether or not I have a particular car, and now I can tell without backing out to check my garage. I didn't see that mentioned on the first post yet, but that is a new feature.

I agree with the people saying that GT5 just got a lot better. Too bad I am at work and only had a couple minutes to check it out before I left home

I love that Mt Aso track in the 4wd drive challenge.

I have user BGM selected but it still forces you to listen to that stupid boring elevator music everytime you enter a dealership or GTAuto or tuning.
PD are so useless it's not even funny. It's getting really old having to mute the tv everytime i enter those places Why is it so f'''ing hard???
God i wish this was on PC. This would have been modded in a week to be a better game PD could never manage themselves.

I understand why people find the menu music irritating. For me it's ok, but I'd also like to play my own music in the UCD, GTAuto & other stuff.

It's just those little things PD could solve if they had an appropriate marketing team, which I think they don't have. They don't need to change the core of the game, just a few obvious tweaks for non japanese people

a) Elitist endurance snob
b) Unemployed bum
c) Kid with too much time and not enough life

Keep in mind that even in chunks 24h is still a lot of time to dedicate to one race in a videogame. So don't give me the bullcrap about lack of dedication, etc. 👎

I confirm that for A-Spec some races changed start type from standing to rolling. Like Euro hatchback race.

What is the poin for this change ? it's only 3 laps not 10 or 20..

BTW Do you find weird that Bspec online suggest using one car like Aston martin or Super GT Nissan and when you race there are lexuses, ferrari , nissans...

?? Maybe they wanted to Categorize it for race classes ? :>

I think PD is currently learning how to make a well established offline game into a game which meets current standards. I'll be amazed if they don't bring this experienced into development GT6.

I know 90% of this stuff should have been in the released version and there is no excuse for it...they had a ton of time after all, but at least they're improving it and adding features that were missing.

and there are some people that feel this update is useless; i think there are those that feel differently.

From the list, I think I'm happy with this set of updates until the next one.

I really wanted to see 24hr endurance saves...I like the idea of limited saves, but maybe a trophy or special gamer icon/car/helmet/suit for those who don't use them to show off online.

Also wanted to see a few standard to premium cars...especially the supercars like the veyron.

and progressive damage.

I don't think that would make either side on the debate happy.

I would still think it devalues the race since it means people dont have to complete the full race before being able to do something else and people that want the save feature becasue they dont want to tie up the PS3 for days doing a 24 hour race would still have to put in 8 hours worth of racing between saves (assuming 2 saves possible in a 24 hour race).

It's certainly a better suggestion than unlimited saves for me but I dont think it makes either side happy.

The way I see it, you two (and the others like you) have a few options to consider.
Stop crying about all the things wrong with the game.
Stop posting your tears about the things wrong with the game.
Stop playing the game if It’s “so bad”.
Or enjoy the game within the part of the game that you find enjoyable.

You race for 24 hours.

No excuses.

Why don't you invite some of your friends, throw a little GT party and pass the controller / wheel every hour or two ?
Then a week or so later, do it again at their place ?

I can confirm a previous bug, happening more and more often to me, has not been addressed in this patch. Just last night, after applying the patch, I did 2 of the new special events. Before quitting I got the Nissan Z upgraded and ready to go for the 3rd event. This morning only some of the changes I had made to the car were still on it, the credits I had spent on them were gone. This has happened to me numerous times and have friends reporting the same issue.
