For somebody so adamant in their hatred for GT5 updates, it seems even you can be bought. You make me giggle. Yes, giggle.

My price is clearly higher than a lot of people here. Glad you managed a little laugh anyway.👍 Nice one.:)

Could it be that the typ of anti aliasing has been changed in 1080p mode. It seems that the overal image is much sharper then befor. Maybe they kicked the quiquanx AA in favor of MSAA or something similar.

I want to be able to fast forward and rewind replays. I want to be able to save mid championship or mid race.

Maybe this is asking too much?? Maybe PD are not aware of these issues???? Maybe they will do it in the next "update"???? Who knows.

I say just be patient, I think eventually we will see some of those features. In particular I would also like to be able to pause/rew/fwd replays too. One good thing is that now you dont have to go to that little camera icon to change the replay car/view.

All in all IMO it is a decent patch. 👍

Yes, everyone wants that. And everyone wanted alot of other stuff as well. Do you really expect them to do everything in one patch? Hell we'd still be in 1.01 if that was possible.

At this point it's safer to bet that you WILL get that on a future patch then betting that you won't.

Yea...I think that's what they did...:dunce::confused:

Endurance save would make these events pointless. Save bug is fixed.

Quite the opposite - lack of save makes their existence pointless for many. Sake of realism aside, I simply cannot think of any other game which would require the user to keep their system on (and under load) for hours and days.

Also, the pause feature is just as realistic as the save feature isn't it? ;)

Would restriction that one could only save while in the pit make it better? I dare say that'd suffice for everyone who wants to play these events but doesn't want to keep their PS3 running for a week or more. I hope they reconsider this at some point.

The problem is you come in here complaining about a patch including things that were missing on release. Don't you see the fallacy of such a thing? Would you have rather PD didn't include these things and start adding new features, leaving all the bugs and quirks of what's already in the game?

If the updates and fixes aren't going to come in the form of a patch, how else do you expect we get them? Fix what's broken, include the on-the-box features and then bring in the new stuff.
Your first post came across as so entitled, I'm not surprised you got peoples' backs up - and then you went on to call them apologists just because they thought you were being a baby.

I'm sorry that you're so annoyed with GT5, but that's your problem. Most of us are just happy to be getting updates at all. Maybe your prayers will be answered in the next update; personally, I wouldn't get my hopes up. ;)

EDIT: I've not noticed any improvements in sound overall. Maybe specific cars have been tweaked again.

No of course I dont. However I do expect somebody running a 24 hour endurance to race for 24 hours before they can stop the race and do something else. Otherwise how the hell is it an "endurance"?
so using your logic the pause button should be disabled at all times during a race yes?...

24 hour endurance races show a special level of dedication to the race in order to complete the event before you can do anything else.
they don't show any more dedication, just that you have that type of time in your life to do something...

as for not being able to "do anything else" what about those that pause the game and go to sleep?

Add game saves and you utterly destroy the entire point of having a 24 hour race.
no you don't...it would do nothing other than allow more people to experience the complete game that they paid for...

It's not simply a case of "If you dont like it dont use it". Add a save feature and you destroy how special an achievment finishing a 24 hour race is. That effects every player even if they dont use the save feature themselves.
talk about needing your ego stroked....why does it matter? do you need to see yourself placed on a pedestal above all the common folk that are not as dedicated as you?...

How about you just get over yourself?...your motivation should not be so that others know you completed the race without saving...

the internal motivation, and pride you get in knowing that you personally completed it the "right" way, while others didn't should be enough...

How does adding a save feature stop you from having to run the race by yourself? If you want to have the "real" endurance race experience invite a few friends over for a endurance race party. Saving does absolutely nothing to address that particular issue.

what if you don't have friends that are interested in racing for those lengths of time??...you're just being completely unreasonable because you want the rest of the forum to bow down to your awesome dedication to everything GT5...

I don't think that would make either side on the debate happy.
no, it just wouldn't make YOU happy

I would still think it devalues the race since it means people dont have to complete the full race before being able to do something else and people that want the save feature becasue they dont want to tie up the PS3 for days doing a 24 hour race would still have to put in 8 hours worth of racing between saves (assuming 2 saves possible in a 24 hour race).
they don't have to complete the full race before doing something else right now...you can simply pause and do something else like watch TV or leave the house and have a life outside of GT5...all you're promoting at that point is wasting electricity and shortening the life of your PS3...

It's a 24 hour race.

You race for 24 hours.

No excuses.

Why don't you invite some of your friends, throw a little GT party and pass the controller / wheel every hour or two ?
Then a week or so later, do it again at their place ?

just plain ignorance...

you do belong in catagory d though

d) somebody who cant understand that others have a differnt opinion and so insults anybody that thinks differently.
pot meet kettle...

seriously..... Anybody that doesn't want a save feature added because they feel it will destroy the integrity of the 24 hour endurance racing must be either a snob, unemployed or a kid.

wow......
or it could be E. Just plain egotistical...like i've already explained...it doesn't destroy anything other than the fact that you get to put yourself on an imaginary pedestal for everyone to bask in your eternal glory because you completed the 24hr endurance race...in a video game...

No. When did I ever say something so stupid?
:dopey:

I'm saying that the 24 hour endurance races should be just that, an endurance. That completing them should show a special dedication to the races that few people would be able to do.
ego....again...

there are so many other things that are incredibly UN-realistic about GT5, that the last thing you should be worried about is whether someone can save their game in the middle of an endurance race...

-if i drive head on into a wall at 180+ my character should die, and i should have to restart my GT5 game file...

- crashing my car should total it and make it beyond repair

- what are Cr.? i should have to pay REAL money for these cars

- I should have to pay travel costs for my entire race team to go from Laguna, to The Ring, as well as their salaries

- I shouldn't be able to practice my driving at any track in the world without taking the time to book the private track day, pay for it, travel there etc...

- my driver should get injured in crashes and force me to stare at the cockpit view of a hospital room for months on end until my driver is "better"

- racing an entire championship consisting of 10 races, all in different countries is impossible, you should have to wait at least 24 hours between races in different countries

all of these things are equally ridiculous to your feelings on saving during endurance races...if you disagree with any of them...your argument about endurance races is null and void...

Hi guys,

Anyone knows if the head-tracking with the Playstation Eye works in GT Life after the patch?

I'm downloading it!

Alex

Nice how you say you're not a snob yet anyone without a job is a bum, thanks.

At least I don't want to deny other people a certain feature (one that makes all the sense in the [real] world) because I'm too proud to use it.

If you feel better not using a save feature, then don't. But this is a GAME. I don't get paid a race-driver's salary to drive a car for 24hrs... so give me a freaking save button.

New awsome cool demo videos!!!!
I just let my game running doing nothing in the main menu (were you can choose GTlife, Arcade and so on) and a new demo came.
The TVR Tamora in a pit stop garage, the crew inspecting the car, driver watching them, outside cars driving by. It's the same pit garage from the GT5 prolouge.

Also the glitch that you can race against 15 Toyota Can AM, when choosing the 908 with full HP is gone. Now you get a fine Lemans protopyp party as opponents. 908 versus Bentley, Audi, BMW Pescarolo and other LMP1 race cars. Did never work before.

The 908 still has got backfire.
The R10 does seem to have lost backfire. Need to check twice

The problem is you come in here complaining about a patch including things that were missing on release. Don't you see the fallacy of such a thing? Would you have rather PD didn't include these things and start adding new features, leaving all the bugs and quirks of what's already in the game?

I totally agree. They should not add anything AT ALL until they fix the issues with the game. That is not is what is happening. We are getting remote races and other useless rubbish when we are still unable to fast forward the replays!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:scared::crazy::ouch:

That is why I am a bit angry. These are things that should have bene in the game from the off. NOw I see them adding things we dont need in favout of actually fixing what is missing.:grumpy:

That is not being unreasonable. I paid my money for the game I expect a certain service in return. Yes PD have been giving us updates frequently and I am glad of this but there is still elementary stuff missing that is being overlooked in favour of useless features like remote racing.

I also don't see why they should be praised so highly for just fixing stuff that we all expected to be in the game anyway.

your point would make sense if what you were asking for was a bug fix...the inability to fast forward replays is not caused by a bug...but rather a feature that is not included in the game...

You want said feature to be added, your issue is simply they are not adding the features that YOU want...

you make the comment that you see them adding things we don't need instead of fixing things that are missing...well frankly nobody NEEDS to be able to fast forward replays either, nobody even needs replays at all.

another update (don't see in the OP) I just noticed, is it shows the cars you already own, using a check mark, in the used car lot.

Im sorry I forgot that this forum is only for people who love GT and anyone with a bad word or cirticism is promptly shown the back door.

I don't play GT5. Havn't done for more than a month. I was waiting for this "update" to see what was new. Nothing as it happens.

I don't play COD, and I don't hang out in COD forums with a laundry list of things that would make me play it, either.

People are praising PD because PD are working on the game post release to make it right. People already know many of these things should have been in the original game. Knowing the second fact doesn't invalidate the first. Please understand this or move along to a different thread. I've gone through most of these pages looking for info and the past few pages have an awful lot of pointless bickering.

Finally. The update I have been waiting for!

I LOVE ME SOME GT5.

I've taken a break recently to work up my B-Specers. Now maxed at 40.

If you got my PSNID...TRACK MEET SATURDAY NIGHT !!

WOOT!

Yes, we all want to be able to fast forward replays. Of course we do. And rewind and pause. We all want that. Don't pretend you don't want them.......otherwise why have graphics that are so good if you can't watch them in the replay?????:dunce:

Who cares.....bug or missing feature it isn't important what you call it. It's something that should be in the game.

It's laziness. 5 years of dev time and you can't rewind the replay!!!

So let me get this straight, they've still yet to live up to the promises of leaderboards on the box, yet have added this stupid Bspec anywhere crap, and have lowered the prize payout for the one thing anyone has been able to do, which is grind for cash and cars.

Pathetic.

OK8
Being able to save in endurance races is ridiculous. It isn't endurance if you drive it 15 minutes at a time.
Endurance save would make these events pointless. Save bug is fixed.
Yes it would. Endurance races are just that......an endurance.

Add a save feature and you destroy the point of the endurance racing.

I'm surprised that it took this long for people to start spouting this nonsense.

👍

People won't like that kind of talk around here!!!!:scared::ill:

Remote racing should have been in the game at launch, it's not a new feature anymore than the course creator is. The last sentence is interesting. In your opinion, transport controls for replays should have been in the game at launch, and yet you're saying PD shouldn't get praise for patching it in at a later date. Where's the incentive? They have your money, why should they bother improving the game AT ALL? Yet they are...

Bronze on the X1 challenges should be well within reach now for the DS3 lot. Managed to Bronze all 3 in about an hour and half this morning. :-)

They shouldn't recieve overly high praise. A simple "well done it's about bloody time" would be enough.:)

GT5 still isn't perfect, but at least it seems like PD does in fact listen, kudos to that. Hopefully they'll take it to the next level and actively communicate at some point.

Unfortunately, I probably won't get to race 1.06 for some time. PP was needed for a long while, and the adjustability of weight ballast and power restrictors were something I did not expect, but are great features. But I guess I'll need to wait a little longer to try it all.
