Endurance races are special, those who finish them are awesome, live with it.

Is it just me or did the quality of the shadows improve? Just done a race on laguna seca and the first thing that came to my mind was , that it looked sharper then before..

This is a game. A nice distraction to unwind after a hard day's work. Not the other way around.

The word 'respect' gets misused a lot these days. Do something meaningful in real life and you may have earned my respect. Doing something utterly ridiculous in a videogame doesn't count.



And to end in a positive note: I love the update! PD, hats off to you guys!

I admire the dedication that it takes to do those events, and yes, I respect the gamer that did that in our make believe virtual racing world.
And yes, let's be positive. Calling people names and getting angry over a nice distraction is not positive (to whoever did that).

What can I say! New update 1.06 is very good and PD is going to the right way, but still there are alot to do in future updates. Hope PD will keep them comming and make this game brilliant. Visit GTP feedback more guys, vote for stuff you want! Alot of things that was on that feedback even with 3 -10 votes was included in this update. Some people are really genius in that GTP feedback with great ideas and some opposite creating dumb requests and creating some ideas over and over again wasting their votes, try to search for some ideas before create new one, its a vote waste, PD seems to actually read it.

You could but people have made great arguments of why that isn't feasible. Wear and tear on the PS3 but probably more common, the PS3 is more than just a gaming console in a lot of households. My wife uses it constantly to watch Netflix and I'd feel like a complete loser to tell her "Oh don't use the PS3 for a couple of days, I'm doing a long azz race that I can't save" follow that with an Urkel laugh.

What is there to admire when you can just hit the pause button anyway? A save is just a better pause that doesn't put as much stress on your PS3 and limits the chances of losing everything from a power cut

It's like wanting to finish ... what.. diablo 2 on hardcore (where if you die you are dead) but with the capability of loading the game.
Endurance races are not for everyone. I mean, have you finished all games on the hardest difficulty? No, cause it's bloody hard to do and time consuming and frustrating and what not. And you have seen the levels anyway, nothing new there. Well, you have seen La Sarthe before no?

GT5 doesn't say that, but there have been deaths (several in Korea, IIRC) related to gaming binges.

Being able to save in endurance races is ridiculous. It isn't endurance if you drive it 15 minutes at a time.

Yes it would. Endurance races are just that......an endurance.

Add a save feature and you destroy the point of the endurance racing.

It's a 24 hour race.

You race for 24 hours.

No excuses.

In a real 24 hour race, one driver doesn't drive the whole 24 hours. Instead, one driver drives for a few hours or so, and then they switch out to another driver.

If GT5 is the real driving simulator, then the least that PD can do is add an option to save when pitting, because it's not possible to switch to another driver.

Can I ask all those who are against a save function, how will this effect YOU. How will it effect YOUR game.

I don't enter races with overpowered cars but I don't care one bit if someone else does it. I want to experience some the features like real time/weather effects and tire wear but don't have time to the enduro races - why should I be denied.

Nah, not really bitterness, but I do find it funny when someone opposes a reasonable feature for no other reason than (as this guy admits above) he doesn't think he can control himself when it comes to the use of that feature.

This would be a bigger issue except that there really isn't any reason to worry about A-Spec leveling beyond 25 or so. You can use B-Spec to get up to 35 and 40 for the X2010s.
